“Consistently delicious! Normally, I just go for the cookies, cronuts, and petit fours. This time we tried all things savory. We were invited to a German Christmas Market Themed party — very specific I know… Since it was a potluck, we decided to make currywurst. Heidelberg’s brats for the recipe were so good. We also grabbed their huge soft pretzel (yum) and their curry spread (double yum). Whether you go sweet or savory, you can’t go wrong. Love this bakery!“

“This was such a lovely dinner! We came to celebrate my dad’s birthday and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate us with a little dessert and a candle. “I finally gave in to the hype and went to try this $6 cookie.

The chocolate walnut cookie is a big boi, the form factor is half the point. The exterior has a satisfying crispy, buttery crunch that gives way to a doughy (but fully cooked) interior. Big, textured walnut pieces add a nice bite.

That said, it is quite sweet. The chocolate is overwhelming, even by cookie standards (though I understand it looks great on Instagram).

If I do try another cookie, I’ll be eating it in two sittings instead of one 🫡“

“This is for the Silver Diner in Chantilly,VA. We live a little over 2 hours away but stopped here for dinner after car shopping and we were not disappointed! We had a larger group and showed up late for our reservation by mistake, and it was no issue at all. Yannis regaled us with stories from his life as a restaurant owner and offered us some life advice, too, haha. Also, the menu is large so there is something for everybody. The food came out fast and tasted great. Our group had the pork gyro, lamb gyro, vegetarian gyro, and souzoukakia. Everything was perfect.“

“We love Grounded Coffee! What's not to like!?! The place is cozy and I love the decor. But the food is the real star. Everything is delicious and so French! The pastries are perfect, the quiche and jambon beurre my favorites, and the pain au chocolat always a hit with our family! In addition to stopping by the cafe for quick foods and drinks, we have also ordered catering from them multiple times. Best decision ever! “Came here for their Sunday brunch. Now, the food is excellent, no question, but this buffet is priced higher than the Wynn at Vegas, so given that price point I have very high expectations. The Wynn's spread is of much higher quality although the Sequoia is no slouch. AYCE crab cakes and prime rib were standouts, as well as free champagne and mimosas. The buffet line here focused a lot on manned stations, so perhaps that explains why their spread did not have as many options.

The service was excellent, but when I was first seated who would become my server paused a bit and demanded to know if someone seated me first, as if I was some sort of rif raff who walked in through the back door and seated myself.

While ultimately this was an excellent buffet, I did not feel it was worth the steep price tag.“
