“Stumbled upon this spot and am so glad I did! After our first time here, my boyfriend and I liked it so much that we came back five days later. Not only does it have great beer and a very cool dive-bar-vibe, but it is so wonderful that literally every item on the menu can be made vegan, with a huge selection of meat alternatives and yummy vegan cheeses (there's also a create-your-own section!) There is a pleasing range of mezzes, salads, entrees hot and cold, flat breads, spreads, etc . I had a Yayla mule, 3 spreads, lemony rice soup and superb shrimp. Again, we ended up at a “safe” spot we like to visit. The food and service were good, but it was just our usual go-to. Fast forward to last week: my best friend from Puerto Rico came to visit with his family. He loves to eat, and his wife can be hard to please. This time, we decided to go to Sabores Tapas Bar. I’ll admit, I was nervous—I wanted them to have a great experience, but pleasing everyone is never easy. Finally, we went. What can I say? The food was amazing, and the service was just as incredible. It was so good we couldn’t stop eating. I had high expectations—growing up, my house was always full because my friends came over for my mom’s cooking. She’s an amazing cook. Mom, forgive me for saying this, but Sabores Tapas Bar is as good as, if not better than, your cooking, and the service was amazing. Wow. I’ve found the place. It’s so good that I want to go back and try dishes I normally don’t like, just to see if they can make me love them. I can’t wait to return. My taste buds have found the love of their life at Sabores Tapas Bar.“

If you haven't been to this place or been meaning to come by you should, the food, drinks, ambiance, & vibes are definitely a 10/10 don't miss out !“

“WOW! I live in DC and have tried basically every Thai place in DC but rarely make it to VA. Thai is some of my favorite food. My main complaint with most DC places is that the food is NOT spicy enough. Not the case here! I got the drunken noodles tonight and hands down they were the spiciest best I've had in the area! The shawarma sandwiches and platters both had so much flavor. Highly recommend this spot. It may not look much on the outside, but the service and quality of food is sublime.

“start with the good: the calamari and shrimp appetizers were absolutely delicious. Perfectly seasoned, full of flavor, and super crispy — truly a highlight. It was a slower Sunday, so I'm not sure why the service moved so slowly. Our drinks and appetizers took quite a while, and there was a shift change that caused our appetizers to be missed altogether (they did end up comping them, which we appreciated). For lunch, I had the steak salad, my daughter ordered the steak and fries (medium rare), and my son-in-law had the margherita pizza. All three dishes were really yummy. I'll definitely come back for the steak salad — it was that good. The only downside was the pacing. With only about two other tables seated, it was surprising that service was still that slow. But overall, the food was delicious, and that's a big plus.“
