“We had a great overall stay and really enjoyed our time at the hotel. The location was excellent—very convenient and within walking distance to many of the museums and main attractions, which made getting around with our family incredibly easy.

The hotel itself is beautiful and has a great atmosphere. That said, our room did feel a bit cramped for a family of four, and we found the lighting to be somewhat limited. The bed was also softer than we prefer, which made it a little less comfortable for us.

We did have an issue where some of our laundry was accidentally taken by housekeeping, likely mistaken for trash. While that was frustrating, the hotel staff was responsive and helpful in addressing the situation, which we appreciated.

On a positive note, the café was fantastic—both the food and drinks were excellent and something we looked forward to during our stay. We also really enjoyed meeting Garnet (“Mr. DC”), who was friendly, engaging, and added a special touch to our experience.

Overall, despite a few minor issues, we had a very good stay and would consider returning, especially for the location and service.“

Even as the restaurant got busier, Yacine maintained his focus on us— a warm and welcoming touch that elevated the entire experience. Thank you! As fans of Persian cuisine and frequent shoppers at Yekta Market in Rockville— having recently tried our hand at making Persian dishes like Fesenjan at home— coupled with all of the culinary accolades— we had high expectations for JOON. It not only met but exceeded them. Mast-o Musir, yogurt dish with Persian dried shallot and rose petal, was exceptional— more elevated and nuanced than any we’ve had. The mushroom Khoresht stew with white truffle was another highlight, offering perfectly balanced flavors something hard to do with white truffles and a satisfying richness, complemented by the perfectly crunchy Tahdig, iconic golden rice crust. The braised lamb shoulder which Yacine suggested was the undeniable highlight of the meal I which each dish was excellent. Tender and flavorful, it was paired beautifully with texture. It’s a signature dish that rivals the best we’ve ever had, bringing to mind the legendary Bo Ssam pork shoulder from David Chang’s Momofuku— bold, unforgettable, and expertly prepared. The Gormeh Sabzi, short rib stew with its delicious sour depth, was excellent but couldn’t quite match the lamb’s showstopping brilliance. Two very minor points. While the food and service are exceptional, the main dining room lighting would benefit from dimming. A water filtration water system could make a big difference as well. JOON has firmly secured its place as a must-visit dining destination for us. We can’t wait to return and explore more of the menu.“

I tried the beef skewers and the jollof rice. The service could be improved upon. “My wife, mother, and I went here for Christmas and had a great experience. It was a very intimate setting with not a lot of people which I liked. The food was absolutely amazing! We all got the she crab soup as an appetizer and it was delicious! For entrees my wife and I ordered the jambalaya and my mom ordered the blackened salmon. My wife and I loved the jambalaya and my mom said the salmon was excellent. Our waiter was very attentive at the beginning but as more people came in we saw her less and less. She started to forget things that we asked her for towards the end and we would not see her for quite some time. But I give her a bit of grace because it seemed to be only 2 waiters including her and they also seemed to be taking care of the bar as well which is alot! Overall we loved this restaurant and would definitely go back.“

“We almost canceled our Afternoon Tea bec the reviews were pretty bad. But we were surprised that the afternoon tea room for Quadrant was really decorated well. We went early April so the decor was Cherry Blossoms. Very pretty with Bridgerton background music. The tea selection were nice and the snack tower were a mix of savory and sweets. For additional $50, they were able to create a gluten free tower for me. In the end, our bday celebrant was happy. Service was good as well and explained everything.
When you book, make sure you’re not seated by the bar area. For 6 people we paid around $700. I think afternoon teas are typically around that price, esp when in luxury hotels.“

However, the staff at Space went above and beyond to ensure my meal was not only safe but thoroughly enjoyable.

Upon informing the bartender, Josue Vasquez, about my allergy, he immediately reassured me and took detailed notes to communicate with the chef, Marcel Che, and Sous Chef, James Jones. What really impressed me was their proactive approach: Chef Che personally came out to discuss my dietary restrictions and preferences. On hand, there was not such an enhancement for my dish so they crafted a special dipping sauce on the spot, ensuring it was free from any allergens and tailored to my taste.

Think of your favorite chill spot or dive bar, but with an upscale esthetic better. The food was Delicious!. Definitely more than what i expected. Prices are what you'd expect for a place in the city, but it's totally worth it for the quality and experience. The mix drinks were impressive. The staff were super acoomodating and friendly. The place is also decked out nicely, it has a relaxed yet kinda fancy feel. It's not super spacious, but that's part of its charm. Its a friendly dive bar vibe with class. Seriously, if you're looking to hang out, celebrate, or just grab a a drink and chill this is your spot. I'd definitely recommend swinging by, especially if you're looking to host a little get together. Or just want to catch the game.

“We came by to hike at Rock Creek without doing any research on where to eat after. That was a mistake, as we were hungry and needed good options fast. It was either this Greek place or the Thai place across the road. We eat Thai all the time, so the unanimous decision was this Greek!

The waiter and all the staff were very friendly. The place and decoration themselves are a little odd. However, it was clean. The highlight is the taste of the food. All the dishes we ordered were spot on. I cannot remember their names, but there was nothing bad I could recall. If I'm ever in the area, I'd come again.“

Though I will warn you it’s real strong. I tasted mostly lemon but it had a hint of maple and tea. Which is ironic because strong taste is why I prefer tea over coffee (if I had to pick between the two). Regardless, these people deserve some love especially in the economic crises we have.“

“Vola’s has always been one of my favorite restaurants in Old Town Alexandria. Food and drinks are always fabulous. But the team and leadership is excellent. One of the managers, Phil, ensured that the requested tv channel was on and continued to check in to make sure our meals and drinks were tasty. I made the mistake of forgetting my leftovers, and we went back and explained what happened. Phil made sure to take care of the situation and provided me the meal that i had. “Stopped by Sidecar for an evening snack and drinks. We had the Chicken Flatbread with arugula and BBQ sauce drizzle. The food and drinks were better than average, but a little on the high end for what you get. If TripAdvisor had a "Better-Than-Average" rating, I would have given it that.“

“The view at the Vue is the absolute highlight with expansive views of the Whitehouse and other DC sites. Reservations are highly recommended but my wife and I took a chance after visiting the Christmas Market and there was a table available for a walk-in but had to be clear in 90 minutes. Service was top notch and the menu was wonderful. It is not an expansive list but everything was outstanding. I had the Branzina (Sea Bass) and a Shrimp Cocktail. Amazing taste and presentation. My wife had a pasta with mushroom dish and it was equally delicious. We will be back again.“
