“The food here is amazing. I had to check myself a few times because I was sitting there devouring my dinner like an animal, lol. The chicken was crispy outside and juicy inside. The plantains and green beans stood out on their own even without rhe chicken. At any other restaurant, green beans are just a filler side item, but here they are standout delicious. Possibly the best I have ever eaten. They cleaned tables as soon as customers left. Service was great. We were totally impressed with this place. We looked at other places for dinner, and left here convinced that there is no other restaurant within nearby that would have been more satisfying.“

“Chicka Loca is a hidden gem, and the Bistec alo Pobre sealed the deal for me. This dish was everything, a well seasoned, tender steak cooked to perfection, topped with a fried egg, and loaded with crispy fries and sweet fried plantains. Every bite was rich, hearty, and packed with authentic Latin flavor.

The portion size was incredibly generous, easily worth every penny. The steak had a wonderful sear on the outside while staying juicy on the inside, and the way it all came together on the plate felt like true comfort food done right.

The vibe at Chicka Loca is warm and welcoming, the service was attentive, and the food came out in great time. If you're anywhere near Fairfax and you haven't tried this place yet, do yourself a favor and get in there. Start with the Bistec alo Pobre you won't regret it. I'll definitely be back!“

“This place looked good so we wanted to give it a try. We got the pollo saltado (chicken with red onion and fries in a tasty sauce with rice) and pesto lomo (beef with spaghetti in a basil pesto). Both were served with garlic bread, and both were delicious. I asked for the chicken to be without tomatoes. Unfortunately it was served with tomatoes, but Geraldine apologized and quickly replaced it with no tomatoes. We also tried the raspberry cola inglesa (yum) and flancocho - a chocolate / vanilla-ish (?) cake that was delicious. The prices seemed a bit high, but the food and menu seemed very authentic. 100% Peruvian according to them... Our bill said "Hot and cold" so maybe it's their partner?“

“The food is served cafeteria style. They have a wide array of selections... From chicken to beef to fish. They have pupusas, tortas, etc. The pricing for the food is reasonable. Be on the lookout for deals! The atmosphere was okay. My only gripe was that the music was too loud.“

When we got here, we were happily surprised by cute patio setup where you can sit outside with umbrellas right on wisconsin avenue.The staff was extremely friendly.They showed us the specials for the day, which was a really good deal on a half white chicken, with two sides for fifteen dollars... I ordered plantains and cucumber salad and the cucumber salad was amazing.Very light, very refreshing and perfectly seasoned, and the french fries here are also very good. “Real peruvians doing real Peruvian things. We are the pollo a la brasa and it was delicious. I phoned it in and I got there the exact time the gentleman on the phone said it would be ready. It was ready, hot and fresh. After a journey back home. The freshness was still there.“

Pulled up otw home from out the city. I have an hour drive and I do not feel like I’ll have the bandwidth to cook tonight. Got half chicken with two sides and MAAM, Abuela in the back knows how to throw together an amazing dinner.

No excessive wait, efficiency and a good meal. It’s now the go to when I don’t feel like cooking“
