“My beautiful grandson is in the NICU at the Children’s Hospital. Today as my daughter, her husband and grandmother arrived they were greeted with a delicious box lunch from your establishment. We’re not sure of the organization that gifted us this lunch so we say THANK YOU!“
“I love sandwiches and cookies from Sandwich Republic! My favorites are the roast beef and tandoori chicken sandwiches, and I’ve enjoyed all the cookies they sell. Service is excellent — Jay and Soo are incredibly nice, hardworking owners! Please support small businesses during this time — especially the ones like this one that have maintained their high standards for quality and service.“
“We were visiting from out of town and what a great choice to go to Primo Hogies!! The whole staff was incredible!! Food was great! If anyone is on the fence about what they want to eat, this is the place to go! Thank you guys!! Looking forward to coming back!!“
“The best hard roll sub in DC has got to be the G Man. My family has been eating them for well over 40 years. It's a family run carry out that has consistently made the same sandwich's for my family my whole entire life. If I'm in the neighborhood, I pick some up for everyone. It's a tradition my father started and I happily carry it on.“
“These are amazing sandwiches, we've been to two of the locations and each nailed it. I wouldn't give any stars for the customer service, one of the locations had a sign that essentially said do not talk to the employees. You basically handle the ordering online and pick it up rather quickly when you get there. Very unique sandwiches that span across the globe....only 4 stars vs 5 because they cannot even be bothered to say hello.“
“Greeted by an army of sandwich makers, The Sandwich Shop is a well oiled machine. The service was fast, friendly and efficient. I came because of the vegetarian options and opted for something I would never normally try: the broccolini and sun dried tomato sandwich. Sometimes this tactic pays off, other times it’s a bust. Regrettably this choice didn’t pay off. I won’t hold it against them too much. It was a risky choice; I guess I don’t like sundried tomatoes as much as I thought I did. The bread however was great, and the atmosphere perfect for a lunch. I’ll try again another day and update the review.“
“Atmosphere was depressing and service was average. Just buying some sandwhiches. The price was more than I expected I ordered 3 sandwhiches and a juice and it came out to 45$. Not insane considering prices these days but for how dumpy the place is I was hoping to walk out paying 35$ tops. That said, the King Street sandwich was fantastic. The Cali club was average but healthy portions. The food was ready when I arrived in 15 minutes and was still warm.I’d come back again for the king street sandwhich (pictured below) but otherwise not really worth the price IMO.If these came out to 10$ a piece with tax, this place would be outstanding.Kid-friendliness: Not very kid friendly. Just a run down sandwich shop.“
“The office I work at loves to order here for luncheons. This time I tried one of their fan favorites the Sweet Thai Chili Grilled Chicken Sandwich. It was so so good. I was very impressed. It had the right amount of kick from the chili and crunch from the slaw. Next luncheon, I will prob order again thats just how good it was & on a warm brioche bun.“
“A small sandwich and smoothie shop that has fresh food and great values. My Classic BLT ($12.99) was huge and also had onions, cucumbers and lots of avocado. My Manapple Smoothie was nice and thick and refreshing. Located across the street from the Farragut West Metro.“
“Yum!! Stopped in Friday afternoon and got the Korean Fried Chicken bowl with the garlic sauce and rice and it was delicious! Even the coleslaw it came with was good (and I'm not someone who usually likes coleslaw). Chicken was tender and flavorful while the rice was decent, really enjoyed the sauce that seeped into the rice from the chicken. The coleslaw is a mayo base and almost had a sweetness to it too. Service was good and speedy. You order at the counter and you have to watch the number ticker at the front for your number as they don't really call out your number. There are tables inside as well as outside and the overall establishment was clean.“
“These are the best sandwiches I've had in town, hands down. The brisket and roast beef are delicious, and definitely appreciate something that's made by the people serving it. Either their menu favorites or to build your own, there are enough options for anything you can think of. The serving of hand cut fries are large, and actually less expensive than fast food. There's a counter/bar to sit at, and self serve seating if you want to stay. The only drawback is it's pretty expensive, so while you do get what you pay for it's a little steep for me to go often.“
“We recently had date night at Ballston Quarter Market and sampled through several establishments. This one was our favorite. The short rib sandwich is deeeelicious and packed with flavor! The ancho-braised & pulled short rib was so tender and juicy. It paired really well with the bitter arugula and creamy avocado. I also really liked the bread, which sandwiched all the fillings together perfectly and without any of the filling spilling out. I got the waffle fries as a side and they were crispy and perfect potato-to-fry ratio. We also tried the sangrias - red for him and white for me. This was a blend of wine, brandy, passion fruit, lemon, simple syrup and aromatic bitters. Very refreshing and delicious as well. Will definitely be back!“
“Our favorite spot in Ballston! Food is honestly a hit and the staff is the kindest I know. Decor is beautiful (flower installation across the ceiling). Great florist / gift section available. Sundays are great for $3 mimosas and an easy-going brunch. Honestly, a plain bagel with cream cheese there is my favorite (they respect the shmear) but I will also jump for the The Reuben, The Capicola, and their baby-arugula salad. Generous portions and delightful fair.“
“Junction Cafe is a hidden gem! The food is absolutely delicious, with a diverse menu that caters to various tastes. The ambiance is cozy and welcoming, making it the perfect spot for a relaxing meal or catching up with friends. The staff is friendly and attentive, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. I highly recommend trying their signature dishes and indulging in their freshly brewed coffee. Can't wait to visit again!“
“I have been eyeing Earl's sign about fresh roasted turkey and today I gave it a try (delivery). I have to say that Earl's is a real gem!Turkey sandwich with cranberry sauce: Just divine! Turkey is so tender that it is falling apart (like pulled chicken). Bread is whole grain, fresh, and nice mix of seeds.Garlic chicken sandwich with roasted peppers: my husband said it was really good.Vegetable sandwich (with balsamic vinegar or basil mayo): Excellent, chock full of mushrooms.Salad (with chicken): excellent. We particularly enjoyed the fresh apple slices (tasted like they had lemon juice). The dressing, though, was unexpected, only vinegar (no oil). We ended up using our ranch dressing we had on hand and sprinkled a little vinegar on top.So glad to have tried Earl's and we will definitely do it again (can't stop thinking about the turkey!).Update 3/3/24 We just finished our lunch of Mona Lisa (veggie) and Turkey and brie sandwiches and I am thinking of mine (turkey and brie). The best sandwich I have had (maybe ever). My husband really liked his Mona Lisa, too.“
“My daughter & I visited this eatery on our trip to DC and absolutely loved everything about it! We got the chicken 1 sandwich & the Greek Goddess, along w/ tomato soup & quinoa chili, & lemonade! Everything was fresh & near perfect. And the owner was delightful to talk to. Wish we had something like this where we live!“
“We frequent McAlister's quite often. The first time I ever had it was in Texas and I was happy to introduce it to my wife. So when we saw them put one in our area we were excited. We've had nothing but great customer service at this location and really appreciate everything they do and all the people that prepare the food. Thank you“
“First time at Grazie Grazie, and it's not bad !The food is correct, the size is big, especially the sandwich. The salad was good too, even if it was a little bit too much dressing in it. I found the bottom of the lettuce in my salad (last photo). You never put this part in a salad, that's a big mistake...Overall, it's a good stop to eat quickly. The service is fast.Decoration is nice.“
“My go-to breakfast place when I'm in Arlington. They have many good options on their breakfast menu. They also will make your meal the way you like it by adding items that are not on the standard menu. They also have a wide variety of cold drinks and juices. The coffee is always good. They offer quality and good service.“
“This is my first visit to this location of Hot Lola’s. I had a three piece tender basket. The chicken was nice and hot and fresh, and the waffle fries were delicious! The service was a bit slow, especially given that there were no other customers, but all in all, a good experience.“
“Not a lot of places do chopped cheese and it was on point. I haven't been there that much, but so far food is on point. Price is more than reasonable for the area. Services have been great. Nice little hidden gem around the Merrifield area.“
“Probably the best sloppy joe I’ve ever had. I rarely leave reviews, but this place deserves it, 100%. The guys who make the magic happen inside of this establishment are always happy, and welcoming, leaving you with a memorable TASTY experience. Also, the hot dogs are out of this world. Will keep coming back as long as they’re open ❤️“
“I really appreciate this neighborhood bodega! The staff is extremely friendly and there are a lot of different food options here. I order the garden salad and add tuna salad, and I find it to be delicious. Pro tip: don't order online the prices are marked up. Call ahead and order, you'll save a few bucks!“
“Delicious casual eats with a nice menu that everyone will be able to find something they want to try. It does get crowded on the weekend so use the Open table app to easily book a table. Make sure to try the Italian soda we did the blueberry / vanilla sans alcohol and it is the most delicious thing!“
“A very good Subway location. The fixings are consistently fresh and the sandwiches well prepared. Sometimes they appear to be out of select items, like cheeses. But, on the whole this is a great location that we return to. I've been using the iPhone Subway app to order online. Sandwiches are ready when I arrive. I would probably be easier to substitute items out of stock with an in-person order, but for now I'll be using the phone app for its convenience.“
“Exactly the vibes you get from a typical Vietnamese bakery/takeout place. I love it. And these Banh Mi are probably the best in the DMV. Not only best, but most affordable with more generous than other places with their fillings like meat and veggies. I can't stress enough how often I crave their stuff and I'm Vietnamese who grew up eating these, so you'd think I'd be tired of it by now.Vegetarian options: Tofu and Veggie Banh Mi options. Dessert-like dishes as well.Parking: There is a large parking lot for this strip of stores/restaurants“
“We stayed at the Melrose which was great but we were able to go right next door to the most friendly little place. We ended up coming over every morning for breakfast and even had some evening sandwiches. Prices were very reasonable and a good selection. If you're staying close give it a try you'll be happy you did. It was great !!“
“Awesome staff and customer service! I don’t usually bother to write reviews but it was exceptional. One gentleman in there was really going above and beyond. Watched other customers come through and receive the same quality service. Great service, quality food. Keep up the great work crew! Galatians 6:9“
“Just amazing and outstanding service the fact I don’t eat pork. To take apart and clean wipe clean the knife. Not many will do it and the ones who do get upset. The smiles the friendly faces so sweet a breath of fresh air service. I would rather drive to this location. They need to be recognized and given something to show appreciation. Definitely calling corporate so they can be recognized thanks ladies for making my day. Sandra and Kendra thanks ?“
“there are better subs out there in this wide world of ours, but j. mike's (as i like to call it) does a pretty good job. i always forget what "mike's way" is, though, and i kinda feel like a jerk when they have to explain it to me for like the 6th time“
“Ok, so it was a little pricey. Regular sized (9 inch) bacon cheese steak. Regular combo came with a standard size fry and drink. 19 bucks including a 10 percent tip. Took a little while, but I tell you, when they brought my sub out, it was probably the most visually appealing sandwich I've ever bought. It looked even better than the advertising picture. In retrospect, I should have took a pic myself to share, but I was hungry, so, you know. And it tasted nearly as good as it looked. The bread was awesome and the toppings were just thick enough that some fell off on the tray with every bite. And I think they actually fry their bacon unlike Subway, it was crispy. The fries were pretty basic, but they have Cajun style, which I didn't see when I ordered but I'd imagine they'd be pretty good. And the staff were pretty good. They were cutting up with each other, not enough to be obnoxious or unprofessional, but it seemed they were having fun. In conclusion, if youre the kind of person who doesn't flip out over spending 20 bucks for a sandwich, I say go for it.Vegetarian options: They'd probably give you a sub with just vegetables, but it's not their thing, only a few vegetable options.“
“M2M is one of my favorite places to go on the Avenue. Simple but delicious food, and a huge selection of beers. I love to just grab a sandwich and a beer and enjoy lunch at a table outside. It's such a pleasant way to pass the time in beautiful Del Ray!“
“I came to get some breakfast while waiting for a family member to get done surgery at GW Hospital. It is about an 8 minute walk from the hospital.Bacon egg and cheese on a bagel sandwich was actually pretty good. There could’ve been more meat however it was really inexpensive which made it worth what I paid for. There are a few tables inside and some outside as well.Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a quick, good, and inexpensive breakfast sandwich.“
“This is the local sandwich shop/cafe for all of us that work in the area. They serve breakfast and lunch. I strongly recommend if you want a good sandwich because it's the only spot in Rosslyn that has a solid sandwich. My colleagues and I have been here many many times. It's not winning any food awards. However, the sandwiches are made fresh, tastes great, and priced just right. Strongly recommend if you work in the area or just visiting.“
“Delicious tasty sandwiches. A bit pricey, but good quality. Definitely recommend.Rich boy: reminds me of a shrimp po boy. Juicy crunchy shrimp with a punch of flavorPorchetta: reminds me of dinics roast pork sandwich in Philly with the broccoli rabe“
“I loved my experience here ! Very kind and considerate women! her name is tinesha! I was carrying my baby and she told me if I wanted to go leave the drinks first that my food was coming out ! She was very efficient as well by the way! Made me feel welcome and not to mention helpful! I’d love to come back again and visit !“
“The food & atmosphere is good but it's the service that makes this place great. My family and I visited the African American History Museum & we stopped by this coffee shop. The shop which is about 7 walking minutes from the Museum but our experience here jump-started the day.“
“One of the best options at Washington Union Station food fair. Service is fast and the food is full of flavor. They take special care of the presentation of the food and the freshness of the ingredients. You can tell from the first bite. The food fair's atmosphere is good. One of the best options at the Washington D.C. Union Station food fair. The service is very fast and the food is full of flavor. They take great care of the presentation and freshness of the ingredients. You can notice it from the first bite. The atmosphere of the fair is very good.“
“I think I just found my favorite sandwich shop! Ordered a Bret’s turkey reuben with smoked turkey and kraut, perfect ratio of everything, and great portion size, most of all: wonderful taste with very reasonable price. Definitely going back to try the other sandwiches (a great variety to select from btw!).Parking: Plenty of free parking spots right in front of the store, super friendly/convenient for drivers“
“Quality food. Good selection of munchies and drinks. Always neat and clean. Owner, counter, and kitchen tean are friendly, courteous, and just nice folks.Parking: Parking can get tight on the cafe side of the building. Go around to the other side for a larger lot or access to the parking garage.Wheelchair accessibility: Level.“
“Yall. I came in here on a rainy day in a particularly bummed mood about life in general. My kids and I looked homeless as we’ve been bed bound the last few days because of health concerns. Andre, Whitney j, ta'livia and Jenny legitimately made me cry in this car. They made my family the best sandwiches, asked me every step of the way was my sandwich being prepared the way I liked. Treated me and my homeless looking kids with the best customer service I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY 37 years of life. I don’t make it a habit to have me or my kids hug “strangers” but these folk are now family. My son has autism and won’t eat much, but he’ll eat a sub from Jersey mikes. I can tell you one thing, I’ll never visit another Jersey Mikes as long as these employees are at this one. I cannot say enough good things. I know this is a franchise, and I just want to say kudos to the owner for handpicking such a lovely staff. They made us great food, were extremely kind and they even make us laugh. God bless them“
“I only recommend eating there because the food was good. However now since the takeout of real meat and replaced with lab grown meat I won’t be returning. I don’t consider it food for the Hueman!.Parking: Inside of Pentagon City Mall precisely“
“Overprice but it’s downtown DC what do you expect? Ignore all the reviews about bad attitudes. Everyone here has been nice to me and I’ve been coming for a year. Just some Boujee moody people coming in through that door. Stay blessed Pret !“
“Service was great and didn't take too long with our orders. The staff was really patient with us picking our food. It was somewhat busy so we took a minute to find a spot. They have seats outside as well but it was too cold. Here's what we got there: * Chocolate Moelleux Cake - we loved it! On their website, they describe it as French version of a brownie. Spot on. This what I would expect it to taste like. It's not as sweet as an American brownie because of dark chocolate. * Napoleon - we've tried napoleon before but this one was different. The pastry wasn't as flaky, but that's not a bad thing. Custard was not too sweet, which balanced out well with the glaze on top.“
“This place has a side street cafe vibe, cause it’s a side street cafe! It was nice and quiet. They have an open kitchen which it’s always nice to see your food and the people preparing it.The food was nice, a bit pricey, but it is DC.The falafel warp was great, and tasted authentic. The French toast and pancakes were a hit with the wife and children.Overall it’s a good place to eat, if you’re in the middle of DC stop in!!!Vegetarian options: Falafel ? wrap“
“I got a meeting time wrong and ended up in this area an hour early. It was freezing out and I found this cafe on google and came in to warm up, I didn't get a sandwich although they look amazing but it was such a nice little place to sit and kill time. I got a coffee and large smart water for $6, you don't see that too often“
“Overall, it was a good experience. Staff was polite, they prepared the food promptly. I think it's a bit rude when the employees half listen to you and talk to fellow coworkers in the native language. Makes people feel as if they are being talked about.“
“This is my favorite restaurants in the general area of the Washington Conversation Center, and best Potbelly I've ever been in. I am one of their "regulars", and they are consistently good. So I am not baseing this glowing review off of one good experience.Kid-friendliness: While they don't have a kids menu, of the downtown DC restaurants I've been in, I guarantee the staff will be as "kid friendly" as a place can be. Even when peak busy, it's calm enough not to add fuel to a kids energy level.Wheelchair accessibility: Entrance and restaurant on the same level surface. However, the doors are not motorized; but appear fairly light and nice big, easy to grasp, handles. There is no latch.“
“I need to go here more often. Super simple food counter with great breakfast sandwiches, lunch options coffee, etc. I stopped by the other day bc I went to Slipstream for coffee but their food choices were too foo-foo. I just wanted a regular bacon, egg, and cheese. Looked across the street, saw Atrium Cafe and immediately walked over. Went back the next day for a cheese steak. It was really good but a little small.“
“Dissatisfied people who take the time to write a bad review. 1 should not discriminate for not speaking English we are in a free country please let's be humanitarian. 2 the bread is the best that can be found in any store nearby the fresh vegetables and above all it is a clean place and good service ???“
