The food was fantastic, and the laid-back atmosphere made it the perfect place to reconnect. I had the pork carnitas with a Caesar side salad—super flavorful, and the pork was incredibly tender. The Caesar dressing? Easily one of the best I’ve ever had. I’d love to know if it was homemade or store-bought, because I need it in my life! Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a relaxed and cool meeting spot. I’m already planning to explore more RIC gems soon!“

“My pop came through town about two weeks ago. He said he wanted to grab lunch. I work nearby, and knew he loves a good burger. I was concerned because my mother (who loves cooking, loves learning new recipes, but has her classics and go-to’s, makes his burgers) would never hear the end of it, if the meal was awesome. Well. I was right. So my mom and my pops came to town and wanted to have dinner, with me and my partner. After politely asking us recommendations and subtly dodging each place my partner and I mentioned. My mom asks, “Where did you take Daddy for lunch?” We ended up hanging out and chatting while the staff started to close up. Great food. Every time. Great fast friendly service. Every time. “I haven't been to L'Opossum just yet for dinner but I had the opportunity to go for drinks last Thursday and they were delicious. I ordered an old fashioned and my friend ordered a drink that was not on the menu but our bartender, Jonathan, made sure it make it happen. Jonathan was sooooo nice and welcoming and his drinks were really well done.
Decor was amazing and the manager and hostess were also very kind and accommodating.

My Dinner was their Crab cakes - deliciousness light and fluffy and oh the Brussel sprouts with the pork belly were Great! The wife had a short rib appetizer for her dinner and it was fall apart yummy. Her Mac and cheese was great too - it was the heaviest Mac n cheese I have ever had. The our son got the Shrimp and Grits. He said they were great and the grits were really cheesy too. Thank you for a great dining experience! We shall return when we are down this way again.“

“We have been here twice now, both times we were passing through on our way home from vacation. Their cheddar bay biscuits are AMAZING. I wish I had ordered extras to take home with me. My husband got the buffalo chik’n sliders from the refrigerated case and said it was SO good. My son got a huge piece of coffee cake and loved it. We also each got cheddar bay biscuit, and I also got a chocolate croissant and an iced chai. Everything was amazing! They also have a mini store front with lots of awesome vegan products. Candy bars, seasonal items, stickers, jewelry and lots more.“

“The restaurant was very open and spacious with a full bar. I thought it might be very noisy because of the incredibly tall ceilings, but it wasn't. Service was prompt and efficient, our order of chicken sandwich and beet salad arrived promptly. Both were good quality and quantity roughly $15 each. Great beer, wine and cocktail selection. Wasn't impressed with the rib egg roll, they were popular though. Street parking could be a challenge during peak dining hours.
