“This place has been around a couple of decades and is consistently busy for a reason. The food is excellent and the atmosphere is clean and inviting. No strange odors or terrifying bathroom that you get in some Thai restaurants. While it may not be true authentic Thai cuisine, it's delicious Thai comfort food and you'll be craving what you had there again.“

“I’m going to post the same review I gave on Yelp - this is a 5 Star place! After a day in DC, my family decided to try Soul Thai on our way home. What a terrific Experience. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was some of the best Thai we have ever had. The Pad Thai was amazing. The Hang Over Noodles (Drunken Noodles) was exceptional. And the red curry was by far the best I’ve had in the area. The ambiance was quite pleasant as well. Initially we were sat in an area that was a little noisy for our taste, but they graciously moved us to a much quieter section. The owner, Nancy came over after our meal and was very appreciative of our comments on the meal. She shared with us that she personally picks the freshest ingredients she can find to ensure the quality of the food. I would highly recommend Soul Thai to everyone. We will be coming back soon. THANK YOU, Nancy!!!!“

“Decided to try mae ornnit with my sister based on the strong reviews they have. Our server provided excellent, attentive service from start to finish. Mixed reviews on the food: Papaya salad was a downer. Lacks that nice flavor with fish sauce and papaya slices were sliced a bit too thick. Tom kha gai and chicken wonton soups were a winner. Lovely coconut milk flavor for tom kha soup. Fried tofu was pretty decent. The sweet and sour sauce for crispy flounder rocked, but I was expecting a slightly fresher flounder than what we had. Overall a pretty nice experience and we may return if we pass by the area again.“

“The culinary magic that Chef Gahn brings to Alexandria, VA. is a pure delight! The experience is more than just about food; it's about the joy of sharing a meal in a comfortable environment. Sitting in the dining room makes you feel like your in a cozy little kitchen with the front window wide open! (Really it's open!) The staff is extremely friendly and just a pure delight. From the zesty flavors of Thai Masala Fried Rice, Red, Green or Panang Curries to the comforting embrace of garlic butter chicken, each dish feels like a warm, culinary hug, handcrafted with love and served with a smile! If you're in the area, don't miss the chance to savor a taste of Thailand that will leave you smiling for days!“

“My wife and I were here on business for a couple of weeks and saw this place when we Googled Thai food this place popped up. Well worth the 4.7 stars and more. We had Shrimp Khao Pad and Pad Thai. Both dishes were delicious and more than enough in portion. Service was fast and friendly. Would definitely eat here again and recommended dining for anyone looking for a Thai fix. Price was great as well….$37 for both meals and a hot Ginger tea. Thank you Happy Thai for an enjoyable meal!“

“Wow. One of the best Thai restaurant I had in awhile. Noting about the menu is Americanize and true Thia taste . Being that I am half Laos I love the laos papaya salad here because a lot of thai Resturant try to do laos papaya salad and it just don’t taste the same . The chef is actually laos . The Resturant is calm and soothing atmosphere , good for intimate dinner or family gatherings.“
“Coincidentally found this place and it is now my favorite Thai place in NoVa! I will definitely be back to try more. We got Nam Khao tod, Mango sticky rice and a Thai tea. I got to practice my Thai. I learned that the owners are from Isaan close to where I was while in Thailand last year. The menu is kept simple and shows pictures for anyone unaware of the Thai food names. The Nam khao looks and tastes authentic. The Thai tea is strong. Both the mango and sticky rice are good proportions for the cost ($9). I forgot to say we were taking it to-go until they were setting it up on a tray and the lady owner easily packed up the food with no hesitation.“

“Had read some mixed reviews but we gave it a shot and we were greatly impressed! We called ahead for our party of 10 and they had our reservations ready and accommodated us nicely. The service was excellent and the food was fantastic. Our party ranged from age 14 to 55, some loved Thai and some had never tried it. There was something for everyone to enjoy on the menu. Plus, it was very reasonably priced. We had a large party and it didn't break the bank, as they say. Great food and comradery was had by all! I don't normally write reviews, but again, I was impressed. Definitely recommend!“

From the moment you step inside, you're embraced by a warm, welcoming atmosphere and the aromatic allure of authentic Thai cuisine. The food is a culinary masterpiece, each dish a symphony of flavors harmoniously blending together. The Pad Thai is a revelation, with perfectly cooked noodles and a balance of sweet, sour, and savory that dances on the palate. The Green Curry is another star, its richness and depth of flavor truly showcasing the art of Thai cooking. Service here is impeccable. The staff are attentive, friendly, and go above and beyond to ensure your dining experience is nothing short of perfect. They are knowledgeable about the menu and more than willing to accommodate any dietary preferences or modifications. But what truly sets Courtside Thai Cuisine apart is the ambiance. The decor is elegant yet cozy, providing an ideal backdrop for both casual dinners and special occasions. It's a place where every meal feels like a celebration. “If you’re craving authentic Thai food, this restaurant is a must-visit! The service here is absolutely outstanding—every staff member is kind, attentive, and makes you feel genuinely welcome from the moment you walk in. I’ve tried several dishes on the menu, but nothing beats their drunken noodles—easily the best I’ve ever had. Perfectly cooked noodles, fresh ingredients, and just the right amount of spice. You can really taste the care put into every dish. Whether you’re dining in or taking out, the quality and service are consistently top-notch. Highly recommend!“

“I ordered here. The chicken drunken noodles were so succulent and soft while remaining mouthwateringly tasty and refreshing with the thai basil. Highly recommend. The mango sticky rice was life changing. The sweet coconut sauce had a slight tang that complimented the glutinous sweet rice and the sweet fresh mango perfectly. Loved every bite.“

“This is the best thai restaurant in NoVA, owned by such a lovely family, who also used to own Happy Thai near Mosaic. We know because we used to go to Happy Thai all the time but since the owner change it wasn’t the same. Through luck we learned that the owner family actually owned this restaurant first! We were ecstatic and indeed, it was the familiar taste that we remember from Happy Thai 2-3 yrs ago!“

“The food in the restaurant is delicious and comes out at a very reasonable time for the amount that they put in front of you. The service is also spectacular. In my maybe 5 years of going here the only time they've ever gotten something wrong was confusing water for sprite, and I mean its a clear drink so whatever. The inside is also clean and well kept, even the restrooms. Again, 5 years I've been coming here. In those 5 years I've loved the food here so much that leaving a review never came to my mind because it was just so comforting, like I wasn't even eating at a restaurant. Highly recommend eating here.“

“We've ordered Thai dishes from this restaurant several times, and we really love it. The flavors are perfectly balanced and remind us of the dishes we had while traveling in Thailand. Unlike other Thai restaurants, where the food tends to taste sweet due to the heavy use of sugar, this restaurant's food is just right. Just thinking about its dishes makes my mouth water, and I can't wait to order from this restaurant again soon.“

“Food 8s very good. Dining room was clean and with a nice ambiance. A little rough on service start we had to listen to waitress vent about how she has to serve Alo e and the guy who was to show up to help won:t be in until 5pm. Also referencing that don't ask her questions that are obvious in the menu. Later she turned super nice. A must try if you are in the area. The food is fresh and delicious“

“I had heard great things about this place and finally got the chance to try it out. Visited during lunch hour and had their lunch special — it came with two sides (I chose the Tom Yum soup and a spring roll), plus seafood fried rice and Thai iced tea — all for just $20. What a deal!
The space is cozy, service was friendly, and the value is unbeatable. I think I just found my new go-to spot for Thai food.“

“I've always been a fan and a regular customer for years at this little neighborhood place esp when they run a much loved lunch buffet. I went back a few days ago to revisit their food and service. The service is as good as ever; however, I was surprised at how much they have increased on their prices. I guess expansion and growth (they opened another branch in Arlingnton several years ago) is inevitable and capitalizing on this popularity has its own upside and downside. I ordered their Paa Tad fish dish which did not disappoint but a simple fried fish and for its size, the price was a bit exorbitant for me. I would still visit the place but would be more careful about my choices next time.“

“Very new and fresh and clean interior with very beautiful decor.
The food is good and well priced.
I had a green curry and it had a good amount of chicken and was tasty.
The crab fried rice had a great flame grilled taste and left a great fun sensation in the mouth. It was also surprisingly affordable at 22$
Staff is nice too!
This is really great place to go, will definitely come back.
Gluten is not labeled on the menu but the staff is knowledgeable and accommodating.
The menu does say it accommodates vegetarians as fish sauce can be taken out of any dish.“
