“The food was good, I fasted all day because they had a three course menu for their restaurant week and our server was great. We were greeted and seated promptly. The restaurant is so small and cozy so it’s great for a date, however the only thing that went wrong was there was a table full of a bunch of rowdy, loud people. I know it’s not the restaurants fault, but I wish they would tell them to sthu because wow I couldn’t even hear my friends sitting directly across from me. They were soo freaking loud, I head all of their business. There was one lady with a giant mouth who just had the loudest, most obnoxious laugh. I feel like she ruptured my right ear drum.“

I tried for myself and got a chicken sandwich combo and tenders with fries(21$) The guy in front was very nice and polite and the wife was the cook. From the menu I wasn't expecting much and with them being across from the shipyard don't expect huge portions - their clientele are working 10 hours shifts with 30min lunches lol ? . However the portion should fill you up decent . My food was made to order which I appreciated , had I not wanted to wait I would've called it in. Clean but dated environment but again their clientele is ship yard so people aren't eating inside. Again food is GREAT ??“

“I usually call ahead so when I go on lunch I can just grab it, pay, and go. Even if I don't call ahead of time the food is made quickly and tastes fine. $10 for a bacon cheeseburger with a decent amount of fries and a canned drink is honestly the best deal you'll get around here as a shipyard worker, at least in my opinion. They aren't rude, as some other reviews have said, they're just blunt. And I respect that. All in all 4/5 stars and I'll continue to eat here.“

“Cozzy’s is such a great place that is heavily underrated. The staff is one of a kind and everyone is so welcoming and friendly. The comedians that are scheduled are typically very funny and will have you laughing the entire night. For $15, you can’t beat it. The food is good and the portions are pretty great. We have been here numerous times and couldn’t recommend Cozzy’s enough for your weekend night entertainment. We will continue to visit and enjoy our experiences!“

“I’m from up north and had only been to a Waffle House while driving down to FL (typical NJ family tradition lol). Now that I live so close to one, I love being able to truly enjoy the atmosphere. The waitresses are always a delight and will keep you smiling. I stop by every so often during walks with my son. He has slept in here and also been in the restaurant smiling the whole time too. I love it.
Recently I got a burger with waffles on the side and when I came home, I used the waffles as a bun for the burger and omg… totally worth it. I’ll have to get a picture next time!“

“Before COVID invaded our world, my wife and I routinely stayed at the Smithfield Inn for New Years Eve. The Wharf Hill Brewing Company, just down the street puts on a PIG drop countdown for New Years that is attended by several of the residents and those of us who discovered it years ago. The Wharf Hill Restaurant super good food as has the Smithfield Inn on past occasions. This year we returned for the first time since 2019 due in part to COVID and family health issues since that time. This time, as in the past we reserved seats for dinner. OMG, the food was out of this world this time. Their New Chef, Chef Gary, is fantastic. The entrees on offer were incredible to begin with, everyone eating that night were all a buzz with how good the food was, from a Rockfish Wellington, at the next table to the salmon dish at the next. We had our classic ritual prime rib that in and of itself was very good to the vegetables and roasted garlic and goat milk cheese mashed potatoes that made my mouth exploded with deliciousness, and me experiencing joy. Chef Gary has instituted a Sunday Brunch now and we'll be going soon. You should give this place a shot. You'll not be disapointed in your stay of a well kept historical inn and at the restaurant and bar downstairs. Go and enjoy yourselves.“

“We made plans for our anniversary to stay at the Smithfield Inn and Restaurant. The new owner was very friendly and could not do enough to made our anniversary a happy occasion. The meal was excellent and our room was very cozy with fireplace and seating area separate from the bedroom. It was very clean and quiet. Then to top it off we were given breakfast coupons for the near by Gourmet Bakery. The bakery was also excellent. We would stay there again and longer to enjoy the cute small downtown shops.
