Service was prompt and the food was very good. I had the Johnny Rocco salad, which was fresh and tasty. Tonya took great care of us, and we appreciated the outstanding customer service. I love how creative the flavors are — from classics like Chocolate Chip to fun ones like Churro or Key Lime Pie. The presentation is always on point, and the pink box makes it feel like a treat before you even take a bite. Prices are a little higher than a typical cookie shop, but the size and quality make up for it. Definitely my go-to when I want to treat myself or surprise friends!”

“it was overall… okay. their prices have gone up significantly in the last 5 years (inflation ugh). the service was great, atmosphere was warm, inviting, and everything you’d want from a sushi restaurant. however, i went for lunch (wednesday afternoon, it was very slow, only two other tables being served) and you can only get about 1/2 the menu as most of the menu was dinner only. so no kani salad or sashimi was being served around the time i went, also some chefs specials rolls i wanted to try weren’t available. they were dinner only. if you’re familiar with sushi king, kagura portions are about 1/2 the size of sushi king’s rolls. i personally enjoy that. the food itself tasted alright, but i’m still open to trying new places around the area. but again; they do have great service.”

I called and after talking to the hostest and the manager, I finally got to Alex. They don't have control over the app or the driver, they also can't refund if you paid through the app. They offered a store credit, but that didn't solve the problem, I was at Karen level by this time. But they made it right- Alex drove to my house with my margaritas and not just one, but 2 tacos for my daughter. Now that is how you take care of the customer. Only Los Primos at Hanbury for this family from now on!!”

“I am writing to address an issue I had with a recent order at the Portsmouth location in Chesapeake Square Mall. The problem I encountered with a recent order for the Chicken and Shrimp Chipotle Pasta for myself and my sister. When we opened the order at home, we found that the dish only contained chicken and no shrimp. I called the store, and the manager instructed me to return the order for a replacement, which I did. However, upon receiving the remake, we found that it was only half the portion size of the original meal—essentially, the chef appeared to have split one full dish into two smaller portions, rather than properly preparing two separate orders. As a loyal customer, I have never experienced service like this before, and the entire situation was very frustrating. Not only did I have to return to the store twice, but the second attempt still did not resolve the issue. I called the store again, and at that point, the manager, Brooke, asked if I had taken pictures of the order. I did, and I am happy to share those images with you as an attachment. The total cost of the meal was $40.28, and I feel that the value and quality of the service did not meet my expectations. I am hoping for a prompt resolution to this matter. Thank you for your attention to this issue. I look forward to your response.”

“If you haven't been to the Amber Lantern, YOU NEED TO 😍 This hidden gem is like the best kept secret. It's off the beaten path, so you wouldn't know you're even passing it, but frankly, I think that's what I like the most about it. I took hubby out for his birthday, and we had such a quiet and peaceful dinner overlooking the water. Our bill at the end of the night was surprisingly lower than we expected, and we ate many high end meal options. I'd actually go as far to say that I prefer this place over Butcher's Son. Our server, Kristi, went above and beyond and was incredibly genuine and down to earth. The menu provided a great selection that gave many options but wasn't overwhelming. The wine was out of this world! For appetizers we had scallops and fried oysters. I've eaten many oysters in my day, but I've never had ones like this. Lightly fried on the outside with that perfect crunch while the oyster itself was still very juicy! The scallops were perfectly seasoned. My husband had the special of beef tips while I had lobster tortellini. The beef tips didn't even require a knife, just melted right in the mouth. My lobster tortellini was out of this world. We ended with a dessert of tiramisu, homemade raspberry whipped cream, and Carmel sauce. WOW! It was light and moist but not drenched in liquid. Our bill at the end of the night was surprisingly lower than we expected, and we ate many high end meal options. I'd actually go as far to say that I prefer this place over Butcher's Son. Our server, Kristi, went above and beyond and was incredibly genuine and down to earth. The menu provided a great selection that gave many options but wasn't overwhelming. The wine was out of this world! For appetizers we had scallops and fried oysters. I've eaten many oysters in my day, but I've never had ones like this. Lightly fried on the outside with that perfect crunch while the oyster itself was still very juicy! The scallops were perfectly seasoned. My husband had the special of beef tips while I had lobster tortellini. The beef tips didn't even require a knife, just melted right in the mouth. My lobster tortellini was out of this world. We ended with a dessert of tiramisu, homemade raspberry whipped cream, and Carmel sauce. WOW! It was light and moist but not drenched in liquid. However the last few times (one being last night) we dined in and the service was very disappointing. Our server was very slow she kept tending to the other guests around us and left us hanging. Took awhile to get our appetizer and awhile before she took our entree order. Did not offer dessert and took her almost 15 minutes before she brought my credit card back so we could leave. At least that’s what the lady told me who took the order, that since they bought it a year ago they don’t have noodles, so that was disappointing bc noodles are my favorite part of the dish and their menus say they have noodles. They also dont have clear soup, just the miso and their vegetables are lame. Just cabbage and a few slices of carrots and that’s it. No zucchini no squash no mushrooms, they actually don’t have mushrooms there he said so I’m not sure but what food we did get was pretty good. I’d go back if someone asked me to go there but I wouldn’t go there on my own accord, but again just bc some of my favorite stuff they don’t seem to serve. The fruit cup was freshly cut fruit consisting of grapes, pineapple, and honey dew melon. The waitress said she actually cut the pineapple herself. “I was very disappointed!! Steak was full of gristle, and for $40 well not worth it. The small piece I was able to eat was well seasoned and cooked ok, a little underdone for a medium piece of meat. The baked potato was cold and the asparagus soggy and limp! What a meal, the server did offer to cook another steak, but since I was with a large crowd did not want to be eating my meal when everyone was ready to leave, I declined and asked for an adjustment to my check, they gave me a $20 adjustment, wow!! I ordered a cup of she crab soup, which was tasty, $8. And, I had a coke. Ended up spending $50 since gratuity was added. As a way of compensation I was brought a banana pudding that the bananas were rotten in. On the positive side, my service was very attentive and friendly, so I did leave an addition to my already charged for gratuity. The ambiance is very warm and welcoming. On the down side, there is no seating for folks that are waiting to be seated. We were told we could go to our cars and be texted when our table was ready, or wait at the bar which had insufficient seating. Our table had been reserved over a month ago, but still had to wait to be seated since "our" table was currently occupied and they were waiting for them to leave, so 11 of us were all huddled up by the front door, with no seating. Going back to the cars was unacceptable, if you've ever seen that parking lot at dinner time you know why. I was very disappointed that I brought 10 other people and was under compensated. My husband asked when I got home how were things, I just said, never again. Now, in all fairness, this was not my first visit. My other visit was for Sunday brunch, equally unimpressed. Oh, and as an added note, the prices that were reflected on the menu were all ignored and we were charged more, without being told. I'm sorry this review is so unflattering, but I'm compelled to tell the truth especially when fine dining. It's all such a shame. I was embarrassed that I was responsible for bringing a large crowd, since I saw several things left on plates. What a shame. The stars do not reflect my review, site would not allow me to change number of stars, I’d say 2 stars.”

“I am writing to address an issue I had with a recent order at the Portsmouth location in Chesapeake Square Mall. The problem I encountered with a recent order for the Chicken and Shrimp Chipotle Pasta for myself and my sister. When we opened the order at home, we found that the dish only contained chicken and no shrimp. I called the store, and the manager instructed me to return the order for a replacement, which I did. However, upon receiving the remake, we found that it was only half the portion size of the original meal—essentially, the chef appeared to have split one full dish into two smaller portions, rather than properly preparing two separate orders. As a loyal customer, I have never experienced service like this before, and the entire situation was very frustrating. Not only did I have to return to the store twice, but the second attempt still did not resolve the issue. I called the store again, and at that point, the manager, Brooke, asked if I had taken pictures of the order. I did, and I am happy to share those images with you as an attachment. The total cost of the meal was $40.28, and I feel that the value and quality of the service did not meet my expectations. I am hoping for a prompt resolution to this matter. Thank you for your attention to this issue. I look forward to your response.”
