“great service, delicious food“

“Ordered online for a 4:00 PM pickup on April 8, 2025 (Order #92, Online Order #1623683), and everything was ready right on time. The drive-thru service was super friendly, and the young lady who helped me was awesome—so polite and upbeat.

I don’t usually go to Captain D’s, but this visit might just change that. The food—Fish Sandwich, Oysters, and Fish & Shrimp—was seriously delicious. I’m already thinking about coming back soon!

“I love this place. Good food, cheapish prices, staff is alright but whatever that doesn't take away from the food.

I guess I have to revise this review: they know me here now, the 5/5 stays, but when I say fast service, I mean fast service. The time we ordered to get our food was like 8 minutes.“

“Dined here for lunch on a Friday at noon with my coworkers at their suggestion. The reviews are so mixed and that had me nervous but we had a great experience. I made a reservation on Open Table and we were seated promptly. The restaurant wasn’t too busy and the host was also our server. He was very accommodating and answered all my questions.

I enjoyed my caesar salad and the buffalo wings as starter (plus the bread lol). My wings were cooked well as I asked and were the perfect amount of heat for wing zings. For a couple of people they were too spicy but they were perfect to me. I ordered the create your own pasta as my entree. I selected baked ziti, vodka sauce, sausage, with onions and spinach. The pasta arrived HOT so it had to cool a bit before I could try it. I think my selections complimented each other well and the pasta was delicious and tasted even better the next day. Definitely a good suggestion if you’re in the Chester area; great for groups, families, couples, and solo diners!“

“The service here was immaculate, I felt like every time our server came to the table we had everything we needed taken care of and the food was great! I would have liked to see more seasoning and garlic on some of the stuff but all in all it was a great place.“

“Good prices, great seafood and sides! If you just want something for yourself or for the whole family. Not a lot of room inside the business, but fair for takeout. The owner is the nicest man, greets everyone that walks through the door. This business is for takeout only, order before you leave the house and pickup once there or you can wait for it, stays pretty busy, especially on the weekends.“

“Good place to get your sea food!! They have regular crab legs and king crab legs, but you know, when dealing with sea food, it can get pricey! You pay for what u get, so I don't mind spending getting great food! They have fish by pound, muscles, etc! I also saw an ebt sign that they accept, so they take all clients and accommodation for all! Customers service is great! Don't be afraid to change your mind if u don't like the price when he weighs it out!“

“Food was good not great, enjoyed the 3 spoonfuls of soup that came with it....yummy. I thought fish sandwich and soup were too small. I was highly disappointed their tartar sauce was a commercial pre packaged one, I expected fresh. But overall still a tasty bite 14.00 for the sandwich,soup combo. Again soup was waaay too small.... emphasis on that because I wanted more soup because it was delicious 😋 best part for me.“

“I had the most incredible dining experience at the Petersburg location on my drive back to NC!!! Before I walked in the door, the hostess was grabbing a menu to seat me. EVERY SINGLE staff member had a smile on their faces and was friendly and welcoming. The waiter was absolutely exceptional, anticipating needs, making great drink and food suggestions, delivering timely service, etc.The food was absolutely phenomenal and very reasonably priced! I visited a 5 star restaurant the day before and the Croaker’s spot topped my experience there, by far! “Excellent service - waiter was friendly & cheerful with us and everyone else in the restaurant. He was working by himself and he was super efficient. We both had Chile Rellano’s and they were excellent. A Chili Rellano is supposed to be covered in egg. My husband’s taco was also great. The restaurant was super clean, nice atmosphere, large menu and small portion options. We are from Central Oregon and compared to our prices, the meals were unbelievably reasonably priced. Absolutely worth checking out if you are in the area. Many locals stopping by to pick up their phone order. Always a good sign. It always feels good to support a local business.“

“Normally I would support this place. But now I will say I'm very disappointed in this situation they have put in. Right now we are living in a hotel and I asked for two smaller pizzas boxes because it's easier to separate for three people. They were like we have to charge you extra for the boxes yet it's no different than getting your order to go I don't see them charging for that“

“Grabbed take out yesterday, and it was my first time at this restaurant. My husband and I got ox tail, curry goat, and jerk chicken. Everything was so flavorful! The jerk chicken was the best jerk chick i ever had. Rice and cabbage were good as well. More spicy than I am used to from other Carribean restaurants, but it was perfect for me. The lady that helped me was so nice, humble, and great spirit. I will definitely be back!!“

“This Captain is on point. And that's rare these days. I placed a huge order and it was ready in no time.. The cashier Ruston went above and beyond his customer service skills are awesome!! He even helped me carry my bags to my truck. I highly recommend this place.

“First time ordering from here after finding it on a Google search and my normal place was closed. Had the jerk chicken which was very good, was fresh and a good size portion. The chicken was cooked well and wasn't overloaded with gravy like some places it was just right. The cabbage was cooked really well. Also had a beef patty which if a Jamaican restaurant can't make those they just need to close lol. This one was good and packed a little punch of spice which I like. I'll def be back but maybe they should do some extra signage so people know it's back there since it's kinda off a busy street.“
