“Decided to try mae ornnit with my sister based on the strong reviews they have. Our server provided excellent, attentive service from start to finish. Mixed reviews on the food: Papaya salad was a downer. Lacks that nice flavor with fish sauce and papaya slices were sliced a bit too thick. Tom kha gai and chicken wonton soups were a winner. Lovely coconut milk flavor for tom kha soup. Fried tofu was pretty decent. The sweet and sour sauce for crispy flounder rocked, but I was expecting a slightly fresher flounder than what we had. Overall a pretty nice experience and we may return if we pass by the area again.“

I had a green curry and it had a good amount of chicken and was tasty.

The crab fried rice had a great flame grilled taste and left a great fun sensation in the mouth. It was also surprisingly affordable at 22$

Gluten is not labeled on the menu but the staff is knowledgeable and accommodating.

The menu does say it accommodates vegetarians as fish sauce can be taken out of any dish.“

“My wife and I were here on business for a couple of weeks and saw this place when we Googled Thai food this place popped up. Well worth the 4.7 stars and more. We had Shrimp Khao Pad and Pad Thai. Both dishes were delicious and more than enough in portion. Service was fast and friendly. Would definitely eat here again and recommended dining for anyone looking for a Thai fix. Price was great as well….$37 for both meals and a hot Ginger tea. Thank you Happy Thai for an enjoyable meal!“

“Had read some mixed reviews but we gave it a shot and we were greatly impressed! We called ahead for our party of 10 and they had our reservations ready and accommodated us nicely. The service was excellent and the food was fantastic. Our party ranged from age 14 to 55, some loved Thai and some had never tried it. There was something for everyone to enjoy on the menu. Plus, it was very reasonably priced. We had a large party and it didn't break the bank, as they say. Great food and comradery was had by all! I don't normally write reviews, but again, I was impressed. Definitely recommend!“

For $9 you get tom yum soup, an egg roll and an entree option. We got a beef green curry, and a chicken drunken noodles. Also added an appetizer of chicken satay and another spicy beef salad. Wasn’t going to turn down the opportunity to try out some halal options when I could. Must say, was instantly blown over by their presentation. Taste and flavor was also not a disappointment. The beef salad was very similar to ones Iv had in Thailand. The tum tum soup was on the sweet side, but nevertheless very flavourful. Green curry was spot on and so were the drunken noodles. We asked for medium spice level with the spice tray on the side, but I never needed to adjust the spices for my taste. next time you’r craving some halal food, I urge you to try out Supreme Thai bistro if you happen to be in the area.“

It has cute interior decor similar to its other DMV location, and the food is good overall. However, on our last visit, we felt the taste of the dishes was stronger and saltier than usual.

Parking: The parking lot for the office building down the block (on University) is open and accessible after 6 PM. There's also a lot/garage across the street.“

“What’s not too love at Thai Basil. Aside from the food, they are always busy but will always make room for my family for birthdays etc... we are a large family usually 20-30 people. They know us well. You can take Thai cooking classes there too!“

“Tyson Center’s Chinese fast food hot pepper sausage is recommended by many people. I ordered one portion and it was really good. The price of 13 dollars a portion is quite cost-effective. You can add a portion of large intestine for an extra 5 dollars. The lunch box is the main meal and rice. There is no Other side dishes are a bit monotonous when eaten alone, and the taste is a bit heavy and needs to be mixed with water. The fried udon is just so-so, and the dumplings are okay.
