“Boy oh boy! I love the DFAC! I don't have a choice in the matter. The food is a solid 5/10, but after a while, you become so damn hungry all day, every day, that it is a surefire Nine dime by week four!The service? Excellent. I respect all of our servers and the brave men and women who have to watch full plates of uneaten food go in the trash (scoundrel soldiers) and I give a uniform greeting to them all with a haughty voice.BUT THE ATMOSPHERE? “This was my 1st time ordering & I ordered ribs, collards and cabbage. Then the 2nd plate was hamburger on mashed potatoes and gravy with mac and cheese. Both came with cornbread! Everything was amazing! The ladies working there were so nice! I also got the strawberry pound cake….. So good!! Would recommend and do plan to return to try other menu options!“

“Just moved to the area and was very hungry. Ordered and had it delivered. My two kids and I tore it up! Second go round, was a take out, food was BOMB! Try the breakfast! I won’t say it’s better than Waffle House, but it has a larger selection of items to choose from and gives them a RUN for their MONEY HONEY! It gives a real homemade, grandma in the kitchen cooking for the breakfast. I have not tasted the lunch or dinner options. For now, this will be my breakfast spot!! The grits were watery the first time and the second they forgot them. I’ll give them another shot since their food is yummy. Other than that, I’ll be back!!“

“A truly memorable experience. The home was built in 1760 and hosted George Washington, Thomas Jefferson , and other notables. You will eat like Colonials did. The decor, fireplace, and candlelight make it seem that you’ve gone back in time. The food and service are also superb. Ample parking.“

“We’ve lived in Chester for over 5 years but unfortunately just discovered this place a few weeks ago. Walking in I felt like I had just stepped back in time! I felt like I was a kid again stopping at a roadside diner. The place was cozy and filled with locals.Coming from WV, I know a good chili dog and this place has it! It reminded me of chili dogs I use to get at a dairy bar in Beverly, WV. My only complaint is that I wish the coleslaw was finer, but it had a wonderful flavor.Unfortunately the place will be closing in October 2024. So visit this gem while you can!“

“So, I've eaten from this establishment a couple times and it only gets better each time. This time I had brisket, greens, red skin mashed potatoes, fried okra, and hushpuppies. I'm from NC and it gives me that taste of back home bar-b-q. The brisket was so delicious it melts in your mouth, the potatoes were good, the greens were good and cooked just right, and the okra were fried to perfection. I love my hushpuppies sweetened, and these were perfect. I was so ready to dig into this plate y'all ??‍♀️ I had already eaten 2 of my hushpuppies and took a piece of that brisket. ? “The food that I have here so far, has been outstanding! Everything was good. I really love the porkchop sandwich. It was cooked well and seasoned just right. The potato salad was good and looked good. The lemon cake was delicious. The tea was even wonderful. The place was well kept from the I outside to the inside.“

“Had dinner with my parents tonight at Soshel Bistro and it was awesome. The food was fast and tasty and extremely reasonably priced. Frozen margaritas were $5 and the DJ was killing it with reggae and some throwback tunes. The waitress and the owner were very kind and the service was second to none. Great way to kick off my birthday weekend. Highly recommend!“

“Saucy's is a treat in Downtown Hopewell! I often bring a large group and reserve a table in the back room in advance. We love the chicken quarters, pulled bbq pork, brisket nachos, french fries, and bean trio. A cool vibe in a revitalizing downtown AND they have a drive thru if you are looking for a little dinner to bring home after work!“

“We were very nervous that our toddler was going to break something. But we came here at the recommendation of my nurse. The service was great and we got to try new teas. The atmosphere was very lively, there was a reunion that day. I would go back easily.“

“Had a great evening at The Taphouse. The beer selection was great with lots of local brews to choose from. We had the Sloggy Pants juicy IPA, the barrel aged cream ale and the Belgian Strong ale. All were good. For our meals we had the fish n chips, Mississippi roast panini and the old bay wings. All were good. The panini should have more meat in it to make it amazing. The service was great. Jess was bartending and waiting tables. She did an amazing job and was very personable. All together a relaxed chill vibe with good food and good beer. We were traveling through from DC back to Louisiana. Will definitely look to come back when passing through.“

“This Place is so delicious!! We came in last saturday and had to come back. I got the Half chicken again and it always is so perfect hot and fresh. I can hear the angels sing every time! and not to mention I lifted up the wing and there is seasoning in every crevice . They do not miss! It tastes so good I could almost cry. It's always hard for me to choose my sides because they are all soo good. He gets the Saucy Sampler and always mentions how much of a good deal it is. Service was amazing she remembered us from last time which was unexpected but appreciated. 2 Down East Ciders and dessert and I sleep like a baby the rest of the night.“

“I ordered the smothered pork chops with onions and gravy, collard greens, cabbage, cornbread, and water. They give you a good amount of pork chops! There were two in there and they wrap it in tinfoil so it’s easier transportation. The porkchops were absolutely amazing! The collard greens and cabbage looked and tasted fresh. There’s also seating available on the inside with a waiting area and three tables, at least when I came which was early afternoon. It looks like the place opens up more at night. I would definitely recommend!Parking: There are parking spots available in the front and side of the building.“

“Good place to get your sea food!! They have regular crab legs and king crab legs, but you know, when dealing with sea food, it can get pricey! You pay for what u get, so I don't mind spending getting great food! They have fish by pound, muscles, etc! “I have now eaten a Daqlife three times. They have by far the best oxtails in the area. They have a diverse menu that provides options for even the pickiest eater. My favorite dish is the ox tail tacos. I was given generous portions of quality meat with toppings that complimented the texture and flavor. The daiquiris are affordable with many options to choose from. Stopping by is a must“

“The burgers are phenomenal! I've never heard of the place until a friend of mine that lives in Hopewell mentioned it. It looks like they have other great food there as well but for my first time here I had the Barry Burger, which is the biggest patty you can get cooked medium well with anything you want on it or get it fully loaded with bacon, etc.. Its worth the trip down to this place. Great service and friendly staff.“

“This was my first time here, it was recommended me by someone I just meet. And I’m just gonna say that the food was the delicious!!! No complaints about any of the food that I had ordered. My son loved it and He’s one that is always getting me to try different places I will definitely be back. Everything was fresh. The bread pudding was awesome!! The Food is not bad it's pretty good for a bar.Wheelchair accessibility: Other then it being crowded he got around good. The bathroom didn't have paper towels that he could reach they set them on top of the dispenser was his only complaint.“

“So on vacation and we decided to go to Chili's for lunch! Those baby back ribs are to die for! I mean the flavor was on point. Tastes like dad's bbq! We also had the combination plate of tacos! Steak, trip and chicken, one word...YUMMY!!! They had an awesome spread of avocado, sour cream and salsa! The tortillas are normally severed cold at places but Chili's were warm and ready to eat! I wish I would have taken pics but I didn't. Overall.... 10/10!!!!!Then, my game was on and we asked the waiter nicely to change the channel to the game, boy was he on it! Thank you Chili's for great family experience!!!“

“The only reason why I gave this place 4/5 on atmosphere is because it’s not like a Michelin star restaurant space or anything, it’s a casual Asian American restaurant with a wide selection of menu items and lunch/dinner specials. Their curry meal deal is my favorite so far. Just be aware there’s limited parking available so you gotta use the library parking lot.“

Also noticed on the way out that the bathrooms were spotless and smelled like a pool or hottub with bleach! Quite spectacular, actually, very happy we stopped in on our road trip. “This local restaurant is pretty good. It's a fun place to walk in as they have tables & chairs and a full dinner party setup on the ceiling... like the room is upside down. But it's definitely dated, but the service was pretty good each time we have been there (3-4 times now.) The food is good, not amazing, but pretty good. Like everywhere else, the prices for dinner was comparable to others. It actually cost a little over $100 for 5 adults with 4 teas and a water for our dinner this time... which I have to say I wasn't expecting 100%... but it was 5 people and most got the sampler special at $17 each... I think we normally come around lunch time when the prices are slightly lower.Overall (if you can afford the price) it's a nice place with friendly people. No major disappointment other than sticker shock...“
