“My friend and I dined here tonight. We had a great experience. Cohen, our server, was outstanding! He made sure we had drinks, checked on us multiple times, seeing as how busy it was there. He had a smile on his face every time he came to the table. Our food was delivered to our table in a reasonable time no long wait at all.“

“It's a hit or miss on the steaks. At times it's the best and then you can get the bad and at times in between. 4 stars overall for other times that it was good. 3 stars because of a very loud group. In general good food and good corn when in season. As stated earlier hit or miss on the steak. Service is acceptable. It can be better.“

“what a great restaurant, and very friendly staff. after driving for 12 hours, my son and I walked in at 8:45 (9pm closing). we ordered ribs, one with fries, one with mac n cheese. the food and service was excellent, definitely recommend this restaurant. would love to come back to try other items on the menu, some were understandably sold out when we came in.“

“Happened to be in Mechanicsville yesterday with my wife and searched for places to eat. We found this little gem, and what a surprise. The food (pulled pork, brisket, ribs, corn bread, cowboy beans, and potato salad) was delicious. Yes, we tried them all. The staff was great and the atmosphere was very comfortable. It’s a small place that’s big on great food.“

“WOW WOW WOW. I have stumbled upon the BEST barbecue I have ever had. I enjoyed the ribs, pulled pork, Christmas beans, and smash & cheese (5 cheese) macaroni and cheese. Princess enjoyed the brisket. The meats were smoked to perfection. The sides were out of this world. The relish and sauces were superb. For my birthday they gave me a cupcake and hot off the smoker pork belly. The atmosphere was casual and relaxing. Soul music was playing as me enjoyed my birthday lunch. The staff was outstanding ... so friendly. I felt like I was eating with family. This is now my go to place for barbecue. Give it a try ... you will not be disappointed.“

“We stopped in for lunch and had a lovely meal. The Smashburger was excellent and obviously prepared from fresh beef. The waffle fries were nice and crispy. We also had a pork barbecue sandwich with a side of coleslaw. The service was very friendly and knowledgeable. The weight for food was very reasonable.“

“Went here yesterday while in Richmond and I ended up with the Big Boner. 😂 Honestly there was a 40 minute wait but it was prime dinner time. Definitely worth the wait and our waiter was super great. Food was phenomenal.“

“Best brisket and ribs I have had since moving to Richmond. Tender and juicy, and I even enjoyed the sauce. And I like that you can taste the smoke, not just smell it (it's a Chicago thing). I loved the Texas caviar. And the cornbread...OMG.❤ My go-to for BBQ here now, and it's less than 5 minutes from my house. Definitely recommend.“

“So my friend and I finally decided to give Buz and Ned’s Real Barbecue a shot after hearing endless praise from our circle. We walked in and BAM the unmistakable aroma of smoked meat slapped me right in the face. No complaints though, because that smell? That’s the scent of happiness.
It’s a seat yourself kind of place, which gave us a few minutes to take in the laid back vibe before we dove into the menu and let me tell you, it’s extensive. But let’s be honest, I came for one thing and one thing only: ribs. The biggest, beefiest, most thicccccc rack they had to offer.
And sweet baby back Moses, those ribs did not disappoint. The flavor? Stupendous. The tenderness? Heavenly. I nearly called my mom mid-bite to tell her I found religion in rib form. Absolute 10/10.
Now, my only (tiny) note after finishing my rib induced enlightenment, my hands were coated in what I can only describe as “glorious BBQ aftermath.” A few wet wipes or hand sanitizer at the table would’ve saved me a trek to the bathroom. Not a dealbreaker, just a friendly PSA from a sauce covered customer.
In conclusion: I left full, happy, and slightly shiny from the grease. Would I come back? Absolutely. Would I risk getting BBQ slapped again? Every single time.“

“Great experience and it was our first time going. The waitress answered all of our questions and was very accommodating. She explained how to order, how to grill, how to use the soup heater and explained the salad bar. The food was very fresh, the servers came by about every 5 minutes and asked if we wanted our grill changed out, which gave us a freshly oiled grill for meats, and all was delicious. Highly recommend.“

“We ordered Q Barbeque from the Glen Allen location for my daughter’s graduation party. This restaurant has the absolute nicest most helpful employees. The food was phenomenal. Everyone raved about how good it was and the price was so reasonable for the large amount we ordered. We barely had anything left everyone devoured it. Thanks Q barbeque!“
