“We ordered Q Barbeque from the Glen Allen location for my daughter’s graduation party. This restaurant has the absolute nicest most helpful employees. The food was phenomenal. Everyone raved about how good it was and the price was so reasonable for the large amount we ordered. We barely had anything left everyone devoured it. Thanks Q barbeque!“

“My husband and I frequent this location as we only live about 25 minutes away. While the menu is smaller than the original location in farmville, we have not had anything bad from this location. The service is always fast and we hardly ever have to ask for anything as our servers will check on us frequently. We have gone at all times of the day and all different days and don’t have any complaints! We even take our infant daughter with us, who just sleeps while we eat. If a manger is there while we are, they almost always stop by our table for a chat. We have never had any issues with food not being hot or missing anything or not being cook just right. There are one or two servers that aren’t super friendly and we prefer not to have them but I feel like that’s probably how it is at most restaurants. We enjoy the atmosphere and the food! Would recommend this location to any and everybody looking for a new food spot!“

“My friend and I dined here tonight. We had a great experience. Cohen, our server, was outstanding! He made sure we had drinks, checked on us multiple times, seeing as how busy it was there. He had a smile on his face every time he came to the table. Our food was delivered to our table in a reasonable time no long wait at all.“

“It's a hit or miss on the steaks. At times it's the best and then you can get the bad and at times in between. 4 stars overall for other times that it was good. 3 stars because of a very loud group. “WOW WOW WOW. I have stumbled upon the BEST barbecue I have ever had. I enjoyed the ribs, pulled pork, Christmas beans, and smash & cheese (5 cheese) macaroni and cheese. Princess enjoyed the brisket. The meats were smoked to perfection. The sides were out of this world. The relish and sauces were superb. For my birthday they gave me a cupcake and hot off the smoker pork belly. The atmosphere was casual and relaxing. Soul music was playing as me enjoyed my birthday lunch. “So my friend and I finally decided to give Buz and Ned’s Real Barbecue a shot after hearing endless praise from our circle. We walked in and BAM the unmistakable aroma of smoked meat slapped me right in the face. No complaints though, because that smell? That’s the scent of happiness.

It’s a seat yourself kind of place, which gave us a few minutes to take in the laid back vibe before we dove into the menu and let me tell you, it’s extensive. But let’s be honest, I came for one thing and one thing only: ribs. The biggest, beefiest, most thicccccc rack they had to offer.

And sweet baby back Moses, those ribs did not disappoint. The flavor? Stupendous. The tenderness? Heavenly. I nearly called my mom mid-bite to tell her I found religion in rib form. Absolute 10/10.

Now, my only (tiny) note after finishing my rib induced enlightenment, my hands were coated in what I can only describe as “glorious BBQ aftermath.” A few wet wipes or hand sanitizer at the table would’ve saved me a trek to the bathroom. Not a dealbreaker, just a friendly PSA from a sauce covered customer.

In conclusion: I left full, happy, and slightly shiny from the grease. Would I come back? Absolutely. Would I risk getting BBQ slapped again? Every single time.“

There, the server would explain everything to you beforehand -- important if you are bringing guests who haven't dined here before. At the Broad Street location, I asked the server to explain how the meal works, and all he said was that it's all you can eat. Not helpful to new customers like our friends. Also, a different employee kept interrupting us to change the BBQ burner, even when it was still cooking food. We asked her to come back to change the burner, but she did not understand English. This happened 5 times. Fortunately, however, the food was excellent.“
