“Eat here about once a month when we come to visit our son in Newport News. Staff is great, food is better. Have probably eaten here close to 50 times and have never been disappointed.“

“Great breakfast spot on Sutton rd. near Atlantic Union Bank in Gloucester courthouse area in the former Sutton's Restaurant building. A nice atmosphere that is always busy and always filled with repeat customers that says it all. It is run by Spanish workers and their service acumen is very professional and very service driven that has not wilted on my many visits to enjoy the breakfast staples that we all love and I always leave stuffed and satisfied. A nice gem everyone should stop to enjoy . Usually breakfast hours and lunch till about 1:30 p.m. so get there early and enjoy.“

“I stopped by this IHOP for my birthday with my family, and it was a bit of a mixed bag. We waited quite a while to get seated since nobody was at the front, and once we were finally sat, it was pretty obvious our server didn’t want us in her section, which made for an awkward start. Then we got our coffee but had to wait around for silverware to stir it—it would be so much easier if they just put silverware down when they seat people. The food actually came out correct and pretty quick, but I had to ask for extra napkins twice and never got them. The real issue, though, was that it felt like the AC was broken. It was sweltering in there, and the booths were sticky just from the heat. I really do like the look of the place and want to give it a second chance because the food was solid, but they definitely need to tighten up the service and the atmosphere before it's a 5-star experience for me.“
