It’s not until you experience fresh fish prepared perfectly (seasoning that compliments instead of masking flavors, cooked to temperature and doneness perfection, never soggy or dry, not masked by over frying, and just melt in your mouth delicious) do you understand just how really wonderful and valuable this spot is for Richmond. You will not regret trying this place. And you will definitely go back again and again. Desserts are also made on site and are worth saving room to enjoy. “There’s rust on the buffets, the food was room temperature and the bathrooms look like they haven’t been cleaned in years. There is so much build up on the faucets and there is dried human waste smeared in the stalls. I left an entire plate of food sitting there because there was no way I was eating food prepared there after I saw the conditions presented to the public. I don’t even want to think about what the kitchen looks like.”

“Excellent I’m a known chef visiting VCU in Richmond, Virginia and saw there were great Chinese places. Since 1981 I’ve loved however not found many legit shredded pork in garlic sauce dishes. They nailed it, this classic Sichuan dish . When she placed on the table I had flash backs to Houston Texas the last time I actually ordered the dish as every place did it no justice. If you’ve never tried its spicy, salty, little acidic. Steamed rice has to be and was perfect. I started with a great hot and sour soup and then the green onion pancake. The pancake golden brown, crispy, cooked perfect. The soup a great blend had me sweating. Only negative is I’m from Georgia.”

“We recently married in the rose garden at LGBG and hosted our reception in the Robins room. We chose LG because of the gorgeous setting - we didn't have to worry about decorating at all. The staff were phenomenal. From Lyn and Liz who were knowledgeable and prompt in their communications to Cassondra and her team - who were very accommodating of our guests with dietary restrictions, service was attentive, and they even had some extras we could borrow like table numbers. And the food was SO GOOD. We continue to talk about how fun and perfect our wedding was and LGBG made it so easy.”

The girl working the counter has the most pleasant smile of anyone I have seen in many years. I had ordered, online, a pound of brisket with the crossroads sauce and 2 deep dish pizzas (the pizza's were the main reason I ordered from here as I have been looking for years for a place in Richmond that has Chicago deep dish pizza), and an order of the baked beans. The pizza's are frozen and I can't wait to try them. The brisket is unbelievably good and while I usually don't care for vinegar based BBQ sauces, the crossroads is mouth wateringly great! This place is a 30 minute drive for me to get to, but I'll gladly be back for more.”

I saw the “Red Beard’s Ghost” sauce and was contemplating it on some wings. The guy at the counter gave me a sample, and it was smooth with just a little heat. Flavorful. The ghost lured me in. I thought, no problem, I can handle this. I was wrong. So wrong. At home, I bit into a wing and suddenly I wasn’t in my kitchen anymore. I was on the deck of a pirate ship in the middle of a hurricane. My tongue was battling a flaming cutlass, my eyes were crying mutiny, and my soul was begging for mercy. Somewhere in the distance, I swear I heard a pirate laughing. This sauce didn’t just sneak up on me……it cannonballed into my mouth and raised its flag on my taste buds. Within minutes, I was sweating like I owed Red Beard back taxes in doubloons. 10/10 staff. 10/10 wings. 15/10 chance of seeing visions of pirate ghosts in your living room if you order this sauce. Would recommend… if you’re brave enough. So glad I had ranch to finish it all of… but now I’m scared of what will follow…dun dun duuun”

My daughter and I got a corn dog, cheese curds, grilled cheese and mozzarella sticks....holy moly those cheese curds are unbelievably delicious!! where have they been all my life?? They have a garlic essence and I am now 100% addicted to them. The grilled cheese was perfectly crisp with a great cheese pull. The corn dog was good and the mozzarella sticks were perfectly crunchy and gooey in the middle. Those cheese curd though.....they will be in my dreams!”

“Not the typical restaurant experience, just go into it knowing service is done a little differently here. The tacos were really good, even though the tacos al pastor were a different (greasier) recipe than other versions I've had before. The steak tacos were our least favorite, but the carnitas were great, and the amount of meat they served on them was substantial.

If you're here for the whole experience, it's fun that they have a variety of chips you don't normally see in the U.S., plus ice cream that's really unique! It wasn't our new favorite ice cream, but we love trying new things and we're really glad we came and tried a lot of the food.”

Inwas greeted by will whonwas fantastic. He knew the menu and drink menu like rge vack of his hand. He had wonderful suggestions and a great personality. He checked on all the tables he had often and with a smile. The FOOOOD was amazing. We had pani puri, samosas, the dip trio which he suggested and we all loved! We also got chicken biriyani and butter chicken with lots of naan and the sauces. Every single person was stuffed when ee lrft and we had so much left over we had round 2 at 10 o clock 🤣. I cannot reccomend this restaurant enough and we will be back!”

The food was amazing and a very nice portion for the price I paid. I asked for some pickled cucumbers which they added free of charge and offered me a can soda, since it was my first time visiting. “Went to try E-Loteria after running across a Tik Tok food review. I have to say that the review was 100% spot on. This place is amazing! A true hidden gem that I think most people fly right by on a daily basis. We all got an order of the birria ramen and the birria balls. Both dishes were amazing and I can promise you will not leave feeling hungry. The food was fresh and well seasoned, packed full of flavor, and piping hot. You can not go wrong with either of those two choices. I am ready for a return trip to try the other dishes on the menu! The only real knock that I can give the experience was a bit slow for a work day lunch break, BUT I will follow that statement with there a massive delivery order ahead us that encompassed the delivery driver to take two trips to the car and five bags. I am going to give them a pass for that.”

Fries are OK in my opinion not my favorite but some people love them. Their shakes are good and they have free peanuts. The environment can feel a little bit crowded or noisy but I don't dislike it overall. VERY expensive food though compared to other fast food which is why I'm giving 4 stars. Just a burger is 10 to 15 dollars with no drink or fries. So expect to pay 20 to 25 for a full meal. Great food if you can swallow the price.”

While I couldn’t sit/order inside because of the dogs, the barista was more than accommodating to take my order from their outdoor seating and bring me my food and drink. I don’t think it was on the menu but I ordered and espresso soda (espresso, club soda, vanilla syrup) and the barista was once again very accommodating and made it no problem. It was super good! I also ordered an egg and cheese on an English muffin which was delicious. Seemed like white cheddar and a soft fried egg. Would highly recommend this local place! I also appreciated how early they were open on a Sunday morning. I paid about $11 before tipping.”

The tacos came with cilantro, onion, and a great green sauce and without me even asking, she somehow read my mind and added grilled onions and a grilled jalapeño slice on the side.
The salsa had just the right amount of heat and flavor. I honestly can’t recommend this place enough. If I had one small gripe, it would be that I wish there were a table or two inside for eating on colder days like today, but don’t let that deter you. There is outdoor seating when the weather is nice, and honestly, the food tastes just as good in the car or at home.
I even doubled back and went inside again just to thank her in person and let her know how great everything was.”

But the reason I'm writing this review is because of our server, Emmanuel! Even with how busy things were, he was very kind and outgoing. We came for my nephews birthday, so he gave all the kids hats and brought 3 other staff over to sing!

I read another review before going and someone mentioned Emmanuel being top notch. When our server first came to the table, I only thought to check his name tag after he started talking with us. Sure enough, same Emmanuel at our table. Seriously, he's probably the best server I've EVER had at any restaurant. Give that man a raise! Oh, the food was good too, especially the eggs. Gotta figure out how they do it.”
