“There’s rust on the buffets, the food was room temperature and the bathrooms look like they haven’t been cleaned in years. There is so much build up on the faucets and there is dried human waste smeared in the stalls. I left an entire plate of food sitting there because there was no way I was eating food prepared there after I saw the conditions presented to the public. I don’t even want to think about what the kitchen looks like.”

“Excellent I’m a known chef visiting VCU in Richmond, Virginia and saw there were great Chinese places. Since 1981 I’ve loved however not found many legit shredded pork in garlic sauce dishes. They nailed it, this classic Sichuan dish . When she placed on the table I had flash backs to Houston Texas the last time I actually ordered the dish as every place did it no justice. If you’ve never tried its spicy, salty, little acidic. Steamed rice has to be and was perfect. I started with a great hot and sour soup and then the green onion pancake. The pancake golden brown, crispy, cooked perfect. The soup a great blend had me sweating. Only negative is I’m from Georgia.”

Entree’s we enjoyed were Tuna Poke Bowl, Fried Grouper Sandwich with pickled pineapple just to name a couple. All of us enjoyed our visit and look forward to going again!”

I made our reservations several days in advance. I read on their website that kids eat free with a paying adult for a summer special. It said to include this information on the reservation. I did this. Then I needed to move the reservation by a half hour, so I emailed through the reservation email asking about this. I didn't receive a response. I called and left a message with no return call. We had to rush through our earlier event to make it in time. When I asked about the kids dining special, I was told this restaurant was not participating. So my 4 star review is for communication issues. A return email or phone call would have made the evening so much better. I don't think I will be returning.”

From Lyn and Liz who were knowledgeable and prompt in their communications to Cassondra and her team - who were very accommodating of our guests with dietary restrictions, service was attentive, and they even had some extras we could borrow like table numbers. “I’ve had lunch there several times and the food was excellent every single time. Fresh, carefully prepared and presented in an unassuming and light atmosphere. It’s not until you experience fresh fish prepared perfectly (seasoning that compliments instead of masking flavors, cooked to temperature and doneness perfection, never soggy or dry, not masked by over frying, and just melt in your mouth delicious) do you understand just how really wonderful and valuable this spot is for Richmond. You will not regret trying this place. And you will definitely go back again and again. Desserts are also made on site and are worth saving room to enjoy. Prices are as expected in Virginia for fresh seafood.”

Pork has always been moist with no fat. We took a moment to talk to William and thank him for his hard work on the pork. All staff has been wonderful. Cheesy potatoes are great as well as blueberry cobbler and cherry cheesecake (make it hard for a Diabetic). 😁🐷. Was honored to be able to support Tunnel for Towers as well. Thank you for supporting the military and first responders. We will definitely visit other locations on our travels.”

My daughter and I got a corn dog, cheese curds, grilled cheese and mozzarella sticks....holy moly those cheese curds are unbelievably delicious!! where have they been all my life?? They have a garlic essence and I am now 100% addicted to them. The grilled cheese was perfectly crisp with a great cheese pull. The corn dog was good and the mozzarella sticks were perfectly crunchy and gooey in the middle. Those cheese curd though.....they will be in my dreams!”

Slipping and falling while turning the corner to the restrooms was not how I expected to end the visit. While attempting to get up, noticed entirely too much water left on the floor (same as in restroom), and NO "wet floor" signage placed. I alerted a staff member of what happened and that signage needs to be up. Staff needs to ensure to NOT leave excessive water when mopping and throw up signs.”

Different than most Brazilian restaurants that will mostly serve dishes and plates with rice and beans, this location serves pastries (savory and sweet), cakes, breads, and some Brazilian grocery items. Everything that I have tried there has taken me back to Brazil and tasted just like home!
I’ve heard about their buffet, but haven’t tried. However, based on all the things I’ve tried, I can’t imagine being anything short of incredibly delicious!

A true hidden gem that I think most people fly right by on a daily basis. We all got an order of the birria ramen and the birria balls. Both dishes were amazing and I can promise you will not leave feeling hungry. The food was fresh and well seasoned, packed full of flavor, and piping hot. You can not go wrong with either of those two choices. I am ready for a return trip to try the other dishes on the menu! The only real knock that I can give the experience was a bit slow for a work day lunch break, BUT I will follow that statement with there a massive delivery order ahead us that encompassed the delivery driver to take two trips to the car and five bags. I am going to give them a pass for that.”

The Sesame Chicken was tasty, but maybe a little too sweet bc it was over-sauced. The Mongolian dish was very tasty and fresh, not too sweet, and the meet was tender. I got take-out, and I would definitely order from here again.”

While I couldn’t sit/order inside because of the dogs, the barista was more than accommodating to take my order from their outdoor seating and bring me my food and drink. I don’t think it was on the menu but I ordered and espresso soda (espresso, club soda, vanilla syrup) and the barista was once again very accommodating and made it no problem. It was super good! I also ordered an egg and cheese on an English muffin which was delicious. Seemed like white cheddar and a soft fried egg. Would highly recommend this local place! I also appreciated how early they were open on a Sunday morning. I paid about $11 before tipping.”

The woman working the front counter was extremely friendly and helpful, and she served up some of the best street tacos I’ve had in a long time here in Richmond, Virginia. The tacos came with cilantro, onion, and a great green sauce and without me even asking, she somehow read my mind and added grilled onions and a grilled jalapeño slice on the side.
The salsa had just the right amount of heat and flavor. I honestly can’t recommend this place enough. If I had one small gripe, it would be that I wish there were a table or two inside for eating on colder days like today, but don’t let that deter you. There is outdoor seating when the weather is nice, and honestly, the food tastes just as good in the car or at home.
I even doubled back and went inside again just to thank her in person and let her know how great everything was.”
