“My wife and I love Indian food. We go to a place, try it, and decide whether to come back. Well, we have a new favorite.
Lunch last week at TriState was sublime. We had a biryani, and I still cannot quite find the words to describe the rice. It was tender and a tiny bit chewy, in a great way. It was steamy but light and fluffy. The meat was perfect and mixed through the dish. So, yes, we will return. I have my eye on daal makhani, that spicy buttery bean and lentils dish. Can't wait to try their version. Our friend had peppery chicken--so good! Suggest you go with friends and share so you can try more stuff at the table.“

“This is a true gem located in historic Herndon. The food was fantastic, the ambience lovely and serene, the prices very reasonable. The owners (aka host/server/chef/sommelier) are seasoned, humble, and extremely talented. These folks owned the Russia House and decided to try their hand at French Fare. We'll be back soon. “Perfect venue. All seats are good because the room is just big enough, not too big. Sound is great.
The Barns at Wolftrap has the feel of a secluded cabin in the woods with a romantic vibe. You can purchase drinks and snacks in the adjoining room and socialize. People are friendly. The place has a homey feel. There is an intermission half way through so you can get more coffee or snacks.
Perfect place for first date or any date, since there is time for chatting, and then listening together. The grounds around the venue are wooded. Highly recommend!!!!! PS- good idea to do a test drive to the venue, before the actual date, to be sure you can find it without a hitch.“

This is going to be a 2-Way review (stay tuned for the Crooked Run review!), so bear with the lengthyness of this one.

To keep it straight:

-Service is always a 10/10. If you know what you want, you're getting it. Period, the end. Do your own research and look at the menus, my friends. If you have a specific request, bartenders at Nectar are ALWAYS more than welcome to accommodate the highest standard possible.

-Atmosphere - This here is the big one. I'm a frequent flier of the Friday night Karaoke sessions hosted by On Point Entertainment (@onpointentertainmentva for my Instagram-savvy ones!), and let me tell you, it is ALWAYS a hit. This is the kind of Friday night that you can always count on to start your weekend off on the most REFRESHING foot! It's welcoming, it's warm, and the CROWD always leaves you yearning for more from our local vocal enthusiasts! Steve and Lucy are some of the GREATEST hosts of these Friday night sessions, and it's an absolute blessing to have them to constantly fuel my lively social endeavors.

My husband and I tried two different benedicts- everything was fresh and hot as expected, but the bread before hand was a lovely treat, as was the alcohol free sparkling wine- no- not the same as grape juice, lol Eggs were perfectly poached- everything was flavorful and delivered with a smile. The vibe in here is SO positive and the team truly cares about customer service- we will be back!
