“This place was easily the best Italian food I’ve had since my grandfather closed his business 10 years ago. The service was wonderful and the delivery robot was a fun and interesting addition. The quality of the ingredients was of the highest caliber. As we were eating we could hear the very Italian accents of the kitchen staff and I instantly knew the owner was there watching over his business. Additionally I can tell you the sauce was made from scratch in house not from some can or bag like most places. We took a piece of cheesecake home and I seriously started giggling as I took the first bite. The only complaint I could even think of is that the place is 25 miles from my house but I will be going back to sample more of their very authentic very impressive offerings. If you are the owner of this establishment and you are reading this you should be very proud of yourself and the work that you do!!!“
“1st time visiting so I didn't know what to expect. Dined in, but the restaurant is more of a pick up / delivery spot with only a couple of high top tables inside. The pizza menu is creative with quite a selection of specialty pizzas, subs, and other items. Took a few minutes to decide because of the number of choices. Everything we had was fresh tasting and the pizza crust was a really good thin crust. The staff was very knowledgeable about the menu and very helpful with suggestions. Will definitely be stopping by again when I'm in a pizza mood!Parking: Drive through pickup window available.“
“I have been going to Joe's in since 2000, when I first moved to Grove Ave. I had my first legal drink there when I turned 21. And I've had many first dates there. It is, without a doubt, the vision of a corner bar. When they show places like home town bars in movies or shows, it always makes me think of Joe's. If you are looking for food or a drink or just a great place to get coffee and read the paper. You should go to Joe's. Warning : the after church crowd is not a nice group of people to be around. But maybe that is just my experience.“
“But for Google we might not have found the plain, unmarked door, but stepping inside is like entering an oasis. After a drink at the bar (we had a reservation but it was so beautiful, we asked to sit on the patio on arrival and they needed a moment to arrange it), we were shown out to the lovely patio area. Neatly walled off from the outside and with a roof to prevent the weather from ruining your meal, it's a pleasantly peaceful space - well lit even after sundown and spaciously arranged. The menu is reasonably brief but still difficult to choose from, and we finally settled on two antipasti and two 'pasta' dishes (the risotto lives in the same section) after we were advised they were perfectly entree sized. The burrata and beef tartare were delicious, especially the former with its blood orange, hazelnuts, and what I believe were slivers of fennel. I will confess a note of puzzlement, since neither appeared to come with its own bread (we ordered bread and olive oil separately) as if one were expected to eat it with a spoon- the potato listed as a tartare ingredient was definitely delicate crispy crumbs, not crisps as I expected. A second plate of bread was provided (and extra olive oil, though this was honestly wasted) without delay on request though. The mushroom risotto packs a heavy earthy punch. It's cooked well, and quite filling, perhaps heavier than might be expected. The Meyer lemon bucatini was a light, airy flavor, a touch sweet as opposed to savory, much like the citrus and burrata. I demolished it entirely, though I probably could have been satisfied with less than I did end up eating in total. Sensibly, I took the tiramisu home. It traveled well and was delicious once I had the space in my stomach to consume it.All in all a beautiful experience, the only thing ordered that wasn't consumed was a milk punch- Do not be fooled by the list of ingredients, it is extremely sweet, but the staff replaced it for me without protest, and my corpse reviver was immaculate. We would absolutely go back, though the price point is to be taken seriously, it is not a place to go on a budget.Vegetarian options: There are a number of things which are vegetarian (it's a small menu) and they are reasonably clearly marked. It is still probably wise to ask about things like the risotto, since you never know what broth is used.Dietary restrictions: There is a very short menu and no real room for substitutions here. Depending on what your dietary restrictions are, it may not be doable.“
“I love most of the food I've tried here except the thick crust deep dish pizza. My favorites are the buffalo wings; crispy and a little spicy delicious without being too hot, and the burgers - juicy and cooked to order on a thick toasted bun.The deep dish pizza tastes a bit too much like the lasagne for my liking but every other meal and appetizer I've had has been worth the trip. I'll have to try the thin crust pizza next time and see if it's more to my liking.“
“We ate at La Grotta for the first time last night. It will be the first of many! The service, food, and ambiance were spectacular. We were a party of 3 and each of us cleaned our plates. Our friend with Celiac could choose from almost the entire menu which is unheard of, especially at an Italian restaurant. If you're looking for a truly delicious meal, you'll find it at La Grotta! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐“
“Would give them 100 ⭐️'s! This is an absolute hidden gem in the city of Richmond. We stopped in before heading to a show at Altria. Not big, ting place, but we squeezed in at the bar and made bar buddies with the couple sitting next to us since we were bumping elbows. I ordered the Oyster Mushroom meal, and it was one of the most amazing dishes I've ever eaten. Didn't even know you could make it into a full meal. My buddy got fresh made sausage, which he gave me a bite of, and it was incredible as well. If you want some top of line Italian food and not the normal stuff, you need to try Dinamo!“
“The MoM gets 5 stars. Got a great tutorial from Victoria of Column 15 Coffee on their wares. Tried the cold brew with a frozen coffee bomb in the middle. Heavenly! We gorged on a Hanover tomato and meatball Polpetti pocket sammich. Fresh and delicious! Will be back after 4 pm to try Auntie Ning’s Filipino food and Take and Bake options. They have not officially opened, but they are already one of my favorites in the neighborhood.“
“Enoteca Sogno sets the bar for excellent Italian cuisine in Richmond. Tucked away in a nondescript building in Bellevue, this cozy, welcoming restaurant offers incredibly delightful Italian dishes and a robust wine list. I was DD but I heard great things about the Moscato wine. We ordered the robiola cheese to start, which came with their super lovely homemade bread. We needed a second helping of that. Even the olive oil was clearly high quality. For my meal, I opted for the crespelle pasta special, which was basically like a pasta crepe with spinach, bechamel, and cheese with marinara. It was so good and not sickeningly filling, which was an added plus. It let me save room for their lemon mascarpone cake for dessert! Service was prompt and friendly. I was glad we were able to score a table on a rainy Wednesday evening. For busier times, I'd definitely book a reservation.“
“Found this via the internet on our overnight stay in Richmond on the way home to NJ. Antonio the bartender and Kiera our server were awesome! Food was great, full service bar (a great Old Fashion) and what might be the best fresh made rolls we ever had. If ever in Richmond, near the airport, it's a must stop. Well done Roma, I hope to be back again!“
“This has to be the most stellar Olive garden that I have ever eaten at. The service was great. Order the soup and salad and the salad was made to perfection. For once there wasn't any brown in it and it had an appropriate amount of dressing on it. Also, they filled up my soup bowl with actual soup for once. Usually, at most Olive Gardens, I seem to get a half a bowl of just broth with none of the goodies in it. Had those delicious donuts for dessert. Even the manager came around and checked on us. What a wonderful experience.“
“Overall Rating: 7.8/10Whether opting for dine-in or takeout, the pizza and the appetizer sampler were satisfying.Takeout Service: 7.9/10The process of ordering online was streamlined, with the convenience of Apple Pay and immediate email confirmation. The food was ready as promised. However, the online menu could use better descriptions to help ensure customers know exactly what they are ordering.NY Cheese Pizza: 7.1/10A solid choice for pizza lovers, featuring great taste and good sauce. The only drawback was the dough, which was a bit too chewy than preferred.Appetizer Sampler: 7.9/10Definitely worth trying, as it provides a variety of options. The Mac n' cheese bites were surprisingly crispy and delicious. The chicken tenders were well-cooked, and the mozzarella sticks boasted generous cheese filling, complemented by a selection of sauces.Value: 7.9/10The pricing for the pizza seemed reasonable, but the appetizer sampler stood out as particularly good value, offering an enjoyable range of tasty options.“
“I’d like to give every staff member who worked this past Saturday a loud shoutout! My husband and I threw my MIL an 80th birthday party. We had a party of 30. There was also a party of about 50 celebrating an 80th birthday. We were concerned with how long we would have to wait for appetizers, drinks and food. However, it went flawless. Thank you for delivering on what clearly is a special reason for all 80 of us to celebrate the two 80 year olds we are blessed to have❤️ See you next time we are in town. Oh, I didn’t even mention this was a party organized from out of state. Maria was excellent helping me in the reservation too!“
“We went in at dinner time and it was packed. This is a good thing. I'm glad to see that business is booming. We ended up eating in the outside seating which was kind of nice.Always a good experience there. Great food! Great customer service.“
“Imagine succulent salmon fillets grilled to perfection, infused with the tangy zest of lemon butter that tantalizes your taste buds with each bite. The richness of the buttery sauce complements the delicate salmon, creating a symphony of flavors that dance on your palate. As you savor each morsel, the burst of briny capers adds a delightful contrast, enhancing the overall depth of the dish.Accompanying the salmon are plump, tender mussels bathed in a luxurious garlic butter sauce. With every spoonful, the aroma of garlic fills the air, inviting you to indulge in its savory essence. The velvety texture of the butter coats each mussel, amplifying their natural sweetness and creating a harmonious blend of flavors.Together, the lemon butter grilled salmon and butter garlic mussels create a culinary masterpiece that is both comforting and exquisite, leaving you craving for more with every unforgettable bite. That is my experience though ?“
“A true Richmond gem! The staff is absolutely delightful, knowledgeable, and friendly. The fresh pasta, subs, and small batch spirits are amazing. The frozen lasagna, ravioli, and cannelloni offerings are always a wonderful treat after a long day when I want something homemade but don’t want to cook something from scratch. They are a pick-up location for Creambrook Farms raw milk share (how I found out about this amazing spot). Don’t miss out on their house smoked salmon, signature cocktails, or small but well curated beer and wine selections either!“
“Had a night out with the Lady, it took a second to get seated, & there wasn't anywhere to wait that wasn't in the way of the wait staff, but we were seated in a nice corner section, making it very easy to hear my girlfriend, despite it being quite bustling, we had the branzino & the napolese spaghetti with squid, scallops, mussels, etc, I am finishing the leftovers now, two days later & it is still delicious. Would give 5 stars if there was a lobby or waiting area.“
“Deliciousssssssssssssssssssssss Italian cuisine! I stopped in for a to go order of chicken parmesan, side salad and dessert and when I say it was absolutely excellent. Everything was hot and ready to eat with amazing quick courteous service. I truly enjoyed my meal and would definitely recommend this place. Very reasonably priced and I can't wait to return to try some more great items on the menu!“
“It's absolutely the best Pizza and best place to enjoy real Appiza! The owners are always there working!!? That's always a Plus and they're from Sicily/ Italy. Who better to create Good whoops Great sauce than a native Italian? There's a relaxing feeling there. You may sit at a table and enjoy its pizza or lasagna or any one of their many Italian dishes created their. The prices are reasonable, service excellent and the food is above average... Delicious!!!! I consider myself a Pizza or Appiza expert because I am from Connecticut the home of Pizza! Frank Pepe came up with the idea ? using a cookie sheet, mozzarella and good sauceHe created a pizza ?!!! They also have a Chicago style if you prefer it and it's great“
“We have been in Quinton for a couple years and I've waited to make this review. I waited to hopefully have my review carry the weight of that time and experience. Miltons is consistently good quality, food and service. Over several orders, various spots in their menu, we're happy to continue patronizing Milton's for our favorites and look forward to finding more must haves. Pizza, subs, calamari, pasta, salads. It's all great.“
“Nummmm nummm nummm. Consistently good but beware, causes serious cravings. I loooooove the spaghetti with meat sauce, it's more of that Tuscan flavor than a tomato base and is enough for two sittings. The prosciutto, mozza, arugula hero is perfect if you are in the mood for a light summer meal.“
“By far the best Italian food we've found. There are so many in the area, but this Giovanni's is the best. I love their pizza, and last night we had the pesto tortellini and it was so creamy and flavorful. My husband had minestrone soup and said it was the best he's ever had. Portion sizes were very generous and service was incredible. With all the staffing issues so many restaurants have had lately, we had no issues with waiting at all and everyone was so friendly. 5 stars all around“
“Absolutely love their Pizza.... I haven't had anything else there yet!... if it's as good as their Pizza!! This would be the place to go. They are friendly the prices are reasonable... I love the fact that they deliver also when I need it“
“We were just passing through the area on our way home when we found Lidias. Everything during our meal was excellent! Every single one of the staff members were kind and very attentive. The food was absolutely delicious! Some of the best Italian food I've had in awhile. I would absolutely recommend!“
“I can't believe I'm just now trying this place. I was trying to feed a bunch of kids for cheap so decided to come here for a large pizza and 10 wings for $21. Didn't expect it to be so amazing. The pizza was so good. Nice and crispy crust! I got the cheap side salad. It was huge!! Service was amazing as well. I believe Juan was our waiter. He treated my 5 year old like gold! It's now his favorite place and we've only been home a couple hours and he's already asked to go back!“
“Vinny's Italian Grill never disappoints! The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, perfect for family dinners or a night out with friends. Each dish I've tried has been a delightful journey to Italy, with authentic flavors and hearty portions. The staff goes above and beyond to ensure a fantastic dining experience. It's my go-to spot for Italian cuisine. A well-deserved 5 stars!“
“Food and drink were delicious. The kale salad is a MUST! I got what sounded like a plain dish of rolled noodles with tomato basil sauce and homemade ricotta. The dish was silky and flavorful. The sauce and creamy ricotta were perfect. The spot is super cute and vibey. It was a tad bit loud for me but that is what it is, especially when it’s an intimate and yummy restaurant.“
“This is a cozy "pizza place" with lots of other food options like Italian dishes, pasta, American food. The pizza options are pretty much unlimited, and everything tasted great! The staff is very friendly and accommodating.Wheelchair accessibility: I am handicapped but I elected to use my cane this time. I would be completely comfortable using my wheelchair next visit.“
“The pizza is beyond delicious! Thin, soft and chewy crust. The mozzarella balls and meatballs appetizers are so delicious! I crave this food! The guys that work there are always nice and friendly! My favorite pizza from RVA to Tidewater!Vegetarian options: Many vegetarian options!“
“Incredibly noisy little restaurant. The place was packed but they still had the 80s blasting over the stereo. Made it hard to think.Waitress forgot our apps, but we weren't charged so no biggie. Portion size is tremendous. They're unfortunately giving customers two meals for the price of one. Food flavors and everything we're downright excellent. Would go again, just ask them to turn the background noise down a notch.“
“La Vera means it’s real. These people are from Sicily and make the best tasting pizza around. Thin crispy crust, like NY pizza. Savory sauce, and plenty of cheese and sauce. Not like other pizza places where they give you dry pizza and none of the Ingredients that make a pizza a pizza without charging extra. Tell Marco I sent you!!! And check out the other locations too!“
“I love the pizza here and when we have friends over Pinos is always the first choice for pizza. The pizza is excellent and a good value, but we only get takeout. There really isn’t a great reason to come here to eat. It would be nice if they upgraded the TVs and showed sports instead of Fox News. ? The interior is pretty mediocre. The subs are also good, I would pass on most of the red sauce dishes though. Pizza and subs is what they do best here.We are regulars and will continue to be, and we wish the folks here all the best. Lean into what they do well here.“
“We found Pastahouse after realizing traffic was pretty bad after the Richmond marathon expo at the raceway. This was a pre race meal so we were hoping for fresh and clean food. This place is a gem! Absolutely amazing! Chicken parm, eggplant parm and chicken Marsala were excellent! So fresh and good. Website multiple times that we wish we had a place like this back home. Highly recommend!“
“I only try to come in when Jade the assistant manager, is working. She makes the best BBQ chicken pizza and she goes above and beyond when she makes the food and you can tell. The rest of the Staff could use some training. Was told that it was a 1 hour wait for 2 pizzas, Jade the assistant manager came from the back and made my food in 20 min and it was Awesome! If she wasn't working I wouldn't have eaten at this location!“
“I LOVE this restaurant! Great value for what you get - large portions! I always take at least half of my food home and make more meals with it. The owners are amazing people, and the employees are very nice. Most know us well and our frequent orders. Some days are better than others with the food and service, but I'm understanding. No one is perfect and having worked retail myself, I understand what it's like to be busy.Vegetarian options: Penne with marinara, tomato, or garlic sauce.“
“I have been coming for years for our large youth events orders and the food has been great! The staff friendly and easy to work with. The manager Jermaine, has been there to assist with whatever is needed to make our menu a success.. Thank you all so much for keeping your consistency throughout the years!“
“Great food, generous portions, and a cool atmosphere although the restaurant gets quite packed and the food can take quite a while to come out. Drinks are great as well. Other than the occasionally long waits for seating and food this place is great, truly love “
“Kim & Charles and super great people and the food was delicious... i was passing through on my way to Pennsylvania and stopped for a pizza but couldn’t decide with the great menu so we went with half steak and cheese and half chicken barbecue. So delicious and definitely doesn’t skimp on toppings. Amazing prices too. If you are in the Richmond area go visit Kim and Charles you definitely won’t be sorry“
“I do not live in town and called on a Friday to see if the restaurant could accommodate a group of 45 the next evening. They said they were able to do so. On Saturday morning, the owner called to verify all of the details and tell us they would be ready. We showed up a little early and they were ready for us. They were so great in getting everyone's orders in a timely manner and keeping up with all the food that the group of teenagers kept ordering! We highly recommend Mimmo's and will come back the next time we are in town.“
“Pizza was good...prefer a crisper bottom crust but good(perhaps could ask for them to do with individual slices), homemade salad dressing was good, as was garlic bread(plenty for two as a small appetizer)!Lady at front(Hispanic lady) was very friendly & talkative:)Parking: Parking lot, plenty of parking w/adjoining businesses around.“
“Went there for dinner with friends at 5:00 pm today. Once everyone is there and had our drink orders it took about twenty minutes for server to return to take meal order. 4 meals were brought pretty soon but the 5 th meal was about 20 mins later. Was not anything special and should have been along with the other dinners. Employees or Owners children were in a booth at the bar side eating area and at times were very loud. Loud to the point of startling us at times. Could be the reason for the lite inhouse trade. Good for takeout, not so much for dining in.“
“We had our 20 year alumni event for about 24 people with dinner, drinks, and dessert. Melissa was super responsive to questions and alterations for the event and the food and service were awesome when we attended. The 2 servers did an excellent job.“
“I love a good tastin dough on the pizza I'm eating. I believe that Anna's would take the prize home. Well made, good size, always a treat to enjoy. They do sell slices. That's what hooked me. Subs with fries, ya buddy, nice and tasty.I hadn't tried any of the other dishes yet, but I saw Mama come out with a plate that got a big wow that looked delicious.“
