“The new manager/chef at Marigold's has knocked it out of the park! The meal was impeccably prepared, and every dish our group tried was exquisite, without exception. Service was attentive and gracious, reflecting the kind of training seen at only the very best of restaurants. I think Marigold has just jumped far ahead of any of the other local "best" restaurants. Along with the beautiful setting, this is the place to come for an amazing dining experience with unparalleled flavors and delights. I will be bringing many others back, and recommend it highly to anyone who wants to experience the best that today's chefs can offer.“

The entrees were sumptuous; we got the Italian sausage pasta and the salmon. We travel through Charlottesville twice a year and dine here on our way up and back each year. It’s my favorite part of our trip. Service is excellent.“

“Decided to visit the city of Charlottesville Virginia with the husband. Found this brewery and decided to give it a try. It turned out to be an excellent choice.

Our bartender Tatum was charming, incredibly knowledgeable about the product and gave us great suggestions. Honestly, their Harringbone NE Hazy IPA is the best I've ever had. With that bright citrus beginning and a smooth ending, it doesn't have the aftertaste that so many hazy IPAs have. I like the fact that they offer a 6 oz pour on most of their beers.

I also had the farro, wild rice, quinoa salad, a tasty blend of roasted veggies, mixed greens, toasted walnuts and a citrus herb vinaigrette, topped with feta cheese. It was very tasty indeed.

If you're in the area, check it out! You will not be disappointed.“

“The food was great! I highly recommend the empanada to start and the chocolate tres leches cake for dessert. The alcoholic drinks were a bit strong. I got the Mula, which wasn’t as strong but had a very smoky taste.

For the main course, we shared the mole amarillo. This is a great option if you want to avoid spice. We got it with the pork, which was tender and moist. The rice was also delicious.

The servers were attentive and knowledgeable, which added to the experience. We sat on the terrace, which had fans. It was a bit hot, but not bad considering it was around 80 degrees out.

It was a bit difficult to find street parking around 6:15 on a Friday night - but we did find an opening a couple streets over. We didn’t have a reservation but got seated immediately. Overall, a great experience!“

My boyfriend and I live in DC and eat out quite frequently, and Tavola topped some Michelin star restaurants we’ve tried. “Great first experience here! The Thai teas are some of the better ones we have had in the area, the service was phenomenal and the food was delicious with generous portions. The fried rice was fresh, with large shrimp, and the pad Thai was sweet but still nutty and flavorful.

“I ordered Dino's jumbo wings for lunch from their food truck at Patch Brewing and it was fantastic!! I was surprised to see my order was all flats, which is a huge bonus. The ranch dry rub was flavorful but not overpowering, it paired great with their ranch dressing. The Thai sweet sauce was delicious as well. Would definitely recommend the wings.“

We also ordered custom gluten free & dairy free cupcakes for our baby shower that were absolutely delicious and worth every penny. Splendora's is a family favorite of ours. Most of the places around here, just have pizza as an item on the menu, but not as the centerpiece. I ordered the side Caesar salad was delicious and the spinach and artichoke dip we ordered, was as well, but come on...8 little pieces of bread is not enough for all that dip. We ordered the house pizza to share and it was delicious. This is our new favorite Charlottesville pizza. Paper straws are trash…trash I say, and I will bring my own plastic straws next time.“
