“This restaurant is the BEST Thai restaurant in all of Fairfax. And I have had tried almost every Thai restaurant in the area. Their pad Thai is perfection, and their sushi is so beautiful it almost pains me to eat it because it's so beautiful but it's DELICIOUS. They also have great customer service and had our order ready quick and efficiently.“

“When I was hosting friends from out-of-state and wanted to impress them with a delicious array of food, I called Rawr. The sushi platters were a hit (fantastic 4 and out rawr) and so was everything else: gyoza, spicy miso Ramen, chicken teriyaki Don, pork katsu curry, and miso soup. Our friends loved it, and I was so thankful to Rawr for delivering an absolutely outstanding and impressive spread. Rawr is the best!“

“From the minute our party of two entered, the staff greeted us warmly and were very polite. To start, the chicken karaage was perfectly seasoned, crisp, and temperature hot - no sauce needed. For my meal, I ordered the nigiri only Omakase (Chef Inspired Platter) which came with a miso soup and salad. The taste brought me back to Japan. Our meal also came with dessert in which we chose the green tea ice cream which did not disappoint! Everyone working was attentive, informative, and wonderful. Will be back and would definitely recommend!“

“Chirashi bowl here is my favorite. It's assembly is so pretty and it's very filling. The variety and quality of fish is really good! Service is fast and accommodating even when busy. My dad's allergic to egg, so they make sure to avoid adding imitation crab in his dish. Ambiance is casual and comfortable for any occasion dining. Seatings a bit cozy because it's a bit smaller size restaurant, but it doesn't feel too claustrophobic.“

“Our go to sushi in Fairfax! Their menu is extensive and everything is always fresh! I love their entree boxes, complete with sushi, edamame, and salad. The perfect box of everything! I tend to order out, but service is always so nice. They have thrown in a free dessert or appetizer with almost every single order. Highly recommend!“

“Stopped into Kumo for some sushi and this place was popping! There were not many empty tables but I happened to find one and decided to eat inside the restaurant instead of takeout. The restaurant had a sushi specials menu as well as regular rolls; Thai, Chinese, and hibachi entrees. I could not make a a decision on what I wanted but ended up ordering the chicken with broccoli with fried rice. The fried rice is $1 extra. The chicken and broccoli came out hot! The texture of the chicken was a little off. The rice didn't come out at the same time as my entree. I also ordered the Pokémon roll. The roll was huge and very delicious. I wish the waitress would have brought out the roll and just waited for the rice to come out at the same time. I would definitely be back to try more of what Kumo has to offer.“

“First off it took me forever to figure out that this place was opened...because the open sign is so tiny and not let properly. It wasn't until I walked up to the door and actually looked in I saw the staff and a few other people go inside. Now as many of these places on a strip mall situation it is a tiny space. They definitely made due with the space they had work for them. Nobody will greet up and I learned that the hard way. Because I didn't know how the system worked I just grabbed the form, sat down, marked what I wanted and handed it to the only women that seemed to work there. She asked me was it to go. I was like no...so she then proceeded to take me to a sitting area near the back and gave me a menu.Because I was so hungry and wanted a little bit of everything I opted to finally try the soft shell crab appetizer which was not good at all unfortunately. Tasted really burnt and was very small. I then got the plum wine...very sweet like I remember, tuna roll, Philly roll, spic yellow with cream cheese, and fatty tuna belly. All rolls tasted amazing and fresh so that was a plus for me! By and all I will definitely be back to same other rolls and get more of that cold plum wine...“

“This is my first time here and I'm glad I stopped by and tried this place. Everything we ordered was delicious. The sushi roll and nigiri are legit. Fish tasted fresh. Sushi rice is well-seasoned. Cocktails and mocktails are creative and delicious. Grilled squid is Thai style with spicy seafood sauce. We ate sooooo much! Fast and friendly service. The decor is cute and Instagram-able. We will definitely come back.“

“Ok, I didn't actually eat here. My daughter accidentally ordered takeout from this restaurant instead of our local sushi restaurant.By the time we realized the mistake they had already prepared the entire order. We called them, and the manager graciously refunded the entire amount. So I can't comment on the quality of the food, but I can say that any restaurant that would be kind enough to do that (they didn't have to) is probably a great place to eat.“

“My family and I come here at least twice a month and would be here weekly if we lived closer. They have the best sushi in NOVA. We’ve tried several places and this is the only place that comes close to sushi we’ve had on the west coast. Their fish is always fresh and they season their rice to perfection. They have lots of tasty looking dishes on their menu but the sushi is so good we have yet to try anything else.“

“54's great and I'm definitely not the only one who thinks that. We ordered the bulgogi waffle fries as an appetizer. This dish is huge, easily feeds four people as an appetizer. It could be its own meal if someone wanted. The fries were great, lots of flavor. I ordered the salmon poke salad as my meal. I little disappointed in the fact that by the bottom, I felt like I was just eating mouthfuls of iceberg lettuce. I will say, I was pleasantly surprised by the large cuts of salmon. I recommend this restaurant.“

“The best sushi in Burke, hands down. The owners are super friendly and well-connected in the community. I recommend getting one of the boxes to try a couple different things & if you have a large group/party, the sushi platter is unreal and tastes amazing.“

“Took my wife to dinner here, loved the steak roll, red sox roll, and volcano roll. The sushi here is delicious, the prices are reasonable, and the ambience is awesome. I also appreciate that the servers give you some space and only check in periodically so you can enjoy your meal without a bunch of interruptions. This will definitely be where we go anytime we want sushi from now on!“

“We ordered take out. This is the best place! Since COVID all sushi and sashimi has shrunk. This was the largest sushi sashimi boat we have ever had. So much food. Presentation was beautiful and proportions great. We didn't need to order the other rolls at all. The only minor complaint is the wasabi could be hotter. Love this place!“

“This is our favorite sushi place. It's more hibachi-the sushi section is small but it's delicious. We've been going there forever and our kids have become little sushi connoisseurs. The staff are so nice and always talking about how fast they're growing and how we are doing. The hibachi is yummy and so fun. The cocktails are delicious, too! If I could give this place more stars I would.“
“This is one of my go to places for pad thai. I forgot to take a picture because my boyfriend and I ate it so fast! The sushi is okay, more like a 3.5/5 but I do enjoy the sashimi and the rolls that they give. They recently painted the inside again to be a bright yellow ceiling with pictures along the wall which is really nice to look at while eating. The service is always so good and it's a small business that I love supporting!“

“Hibachi is great but that’s not the real gem here! Must try their happy hour 3pm - 7pm daily! Amazing sushi selections and such a bargain. Everything so was fresh and fast! The volcano bowl did not disappoint and their other assortments of cocktails are amazing as well. If you’re a sushi lover (raw or cooked) definitely stop in for happy hour and try everything at least onceKid-friendliness: Kids are welcome and will enjoy the atmosphere as well“

“Been here several times with coworkers, finally got around to posting about this cozy place. It isn't a big location but has plenty of seating and the staff are very attentive to everyone regardless of how busy it was during the lunch hour. They have a wide variety of sushi combinations to choose from so there is something for everyone and they also have cooked dishes as well incase you are not in the mood for sushi. The best part is that they have a vegetarian section catered to those that can't eat meat and the rolls were amazing. The sushi is the perfect ratio of rice to filling as I have tried other places where they add extra rice to offset quality of ingredients. The mochi ice cream was a wonderful light dessert after the meal.“

“We've been here twice and both times everything has been outstanding from the service to the food. Great for families and kids. Always a fun time. We will definitely be going back. For those that want sushi, they make it fresh and have a robot that brings it to your tables. Decent bar as well. Located minutes from George Mason University.“

“Best ramen place in america. Not kidding. Food is incredibly delicious and the people there are super nice! I recommend the spicy ramen, the eel sushi roll and the purple sweet potato tempura fries. Everything was very tasty and rich in flavor that I would have gone for seconds if the portions weren't as big as they were! This became my favorite restaurant instantly! The place is Such a hidden jewel! I'm in love The only bad thing is that it ruined every ramen place for me, because they'll never be as good as Tanpopo, but that's okay cause I plan to go back with my whole family soon“

“i’ve been getting sushi from here for a couple years now and it’s always so good!! there has been a time where i came later and the day and the rice was a bit stale from sitting out to long. regardless the fish is always fresh and delicious and the prices are unbeatable. customer service is always top notch and i always make sure to leave a tip. there are few places in the springfield area that enjoy fresh sushi from and this is one of the 3 places. (in the photos i had put soy sauce that’s why it looks like that lol).“

“Loved the food. I got the salmon Lover sushi entree. So much quality salmon and they have a pickled something on top of them that were yummy. Really good spicy salmon roll too. My boyfriend had the Tonkatsu (pork), which was yummy. Both were large portions - at least two meals. The bench in the booth needed repair and the service was occasionally slow, but still in love because of the quality of the food.“

“This is a hidden gem and has the best fare! I was not expecting to find such an elegant restaurant in a strip mall and certainly had no idea how good the food would be. I had the miso ramen and shrimp tempura, which was plated beautifully and the taste was perfection. I will drive out of my way to dine there again! The hot sake is supreme, very smooth and $9.50 for a large.“

“Can’t speak to the dine-in experience but sushi is very good. I’d say best sushi take out place in Lake Ridge area. They were backed up one time and food took longer than usual to be ready but food quality was on point. The menu has a lot of sushi variety as well.“

“Poke Burrito!! Haven't seen this anywhere else and it's so delicious to have a giant sushi roll basically ? They use a giant nori to wrap it. My son loves the kids Hawaiian bowl, but swaps chicken for salmon with no onions. They have musubi too. Prices are good and they have a rewards program too.All the places in The Block are great. The vibe is fun. Plenty of options.Kid-friendliness: Kids options even if they don't want fish“

“Hibachi was good, the experience you expect. We called ahead (party of 6) and were seated right on time with another couple. Chef was funny and personable, did the usual stuff, throwing veggies into your mouh, squirting saki, onion vocano, egg theatrics. Drinks were good, food was great.“

“This spot is doing Chinese and Japanese cuisine, and I tried to try a bit of both to see what it was all about. The owner was very friendly, and was the one making the sushi. The sushi was interesting, the California Roll was simple, basic, however the rice was definitely a bit more on the mushy side, over cooked for sure. The Spider Roll was very different that what I'm used to as it had a large Romaine Lettuce leaf incorporated into the roll. I always like to try new things, but not sure if it worked...The Chicken Corn Soup w/ the crispy Wontons and Sweet & Sour Sauce were exceptionally delicious.I also ordered Chicken in Garlic Sauce from the Lunch Special Menu, and requested it to be a bit spicier. Oh that was yummy, as I loved their house Chili Oil as well.“

“I love that it is usually quiet enough in the restaurant to hear my meal companions talking without having to shout. Unless the hibachi grill(s) is/are running, then it can be challenging to hear each other. The food is always good, served pretty quickly, and artfully arranged on the plates.I do wish tamari was standard on every table for gluten free people like myself. I also wish that foods were labeled as being vegan, vegetarian, gluten free etc. I accidentally ordered a roll that isn't gluten free (didn't know it was battered), so I brought it home for my husband to eat.“
