“The costumer service is great“

“The taste and food quality surprise me! Everything we order was delicious and the thickness of salmon is not like the chef trying to win the thinnest contest. We order 4 rolls for 2 adults and they all delicious with good quantity (got like 1-ish roll to bring home!) We order nuggets and fries for kids and they were delicious too! Very crispy. Better price than the other sushi places around here. I think this will be my sushi spot. The only thing that Im not impressed (apart from the atmosphere is a bit too dark) was the miso soup, not from the taste which was delicious but there was no seaweed at all and barely tofu.“

“This was the second time they servered me the wrong steak. Rather than create a scene and make the other customers uncomfortable, I took it. The cook must be a rookie, his showmanship needs more training. The next time I will be calling the manager over.“

“Very good high quality sushi. The service was stellar. Very attentive while giving your desired space to explore their food at your own place. It is a small and quaint atmosphere with some touches of Japan decor with lovely portraits of the majestic Mt. Fuji. Their hand rolled sushi was exceptional and their presentation was on point. “There’s rust on the buffets, the food was room temperature and the bathrooms look like they haven’t been cleaned in years. There is so much build up on the faucets and there is dried human waste smeared in the stalls. I left an entire plate of food sitting there because there was no way I was eating food prepared there after I saw the conditions presented to the public. I don’t even want to think about what the kitchen looks like.“

“Contrary to some recent reviews this place delivered exactly what I wanted. $25 after tax for a steak, shrimp, and chicken expressly cooked hibachi. Steak cooked medium for the best flavor, it definitely won out over the chicken. Shrimp was not rubbery in my experience. Large enough portion to have both lunch and dinner. Definitely will be going back.“

“Best sushi in Richmond. I only get the simple and classic rolls but Hibachi Sushi and Grill's sushi is so much better than any other place I have gone. Their sushi just melts in your mouth. There is a sweetness to the rice with the sesame seeds that is like no where else. I always get take out and have never eaten in. It is a small seating area and is more of a carry out than sit-down restaurant.“

“We tried the teriyaki chicken, beef, and shrimp. The chicken was the most flavorful; however, the other two were still delicious. We watched them cook all our food fresh and service was great. They also give you large portions. If you like teriyaki flavor and rice, you'll love this place. They also have sides and deserts, but unfortunately we didn't try any of those. We'll be back for sure.“

“Kabuto’s is my favorite restaurant! But, my last experience was very disappointing. Part of the experience is to watch the show. But because there was a couple at the other end of the table (not with us), who brought babies with them, they did absolutely nothing. No fire, no volcano, absolutely nothing. Apparently they had asked the waitress if “the cook” could be quiet. I feel in this case, either don’t bring the infants, or sit alone at a table. This was not fair to the other customers. It was our 35th anniversary and I feel like we missed out on our experience.“

“This is my favorite local sushi spot. I won't say its the best sushi you can get, its not. However, it is very good, and from a price to value standpoint its pretty hard to beat.

Everything is made to order so you get it fresh, no sitting out window sushi. Its usually pretty fast, though that depends some on how busy it is.

If you love sushi, and are looking for a good place to stuff yourself that won't break the bank I highly recommend it.“

Food quality very decent, serving sizes are good, the chicken sticks were a lil small for 6.25, but I’m fat so it’s for the best.
