“We had dinner at Chef's Kitchen tonight, Feb. 21st. Our waiter Ben was amazing, as was the food. We started with the Burrata and Dumplings, both of which were mouth watering and glorious. My greatest fear is that those dumplings will haunt my dreams forever. I could probably eat them daily. I am telling you it was a religious experience. If not a religious experience then possibly a spiritual experience. I believe if Anthony Bourdain ate here he would have something pithy and wonderful to say. Something cultured and refined. For an entree we both had the braised duck gnocchi which was pillowy, creamy, and delicious. We paired the meal with a Cab Franc from barboursville which was decently priced and absolutely sublime. Give this place an opportunity. Eat here. My wife and I both agree that it is the best meal we have shared together in many years. Oh and ask for Ben and tip him well. He's the man.“

“What a phenomenal option. My wife and I were blown away. All of the food was exceptional and you can tell the staff both in and outside the kitchen really care about what they're doing. Our server Sara S was fantastic and very friendly devoting time to make conversations instead of rushing through a job. Additionally, culinary director Mitchell came to our table unprompted to check in with us and gave us a complimentary appetizer after hearing it was our first time dining there. He also reappeared toward the end of our meal and chatted with us a bit about his passion for the restaurant and the craft. Truly a great experience.“

“This place is incredible! After eating their vegan crab cake sandwich and veggie hash, I asked if they provided catering trays. They have a 48 hour request window, and I was so happy I was within it for my event. I ordered the veggie hash with extra tofu, plus vegan crab cakes to feed about 20 people. I was able to pick up the trays before they officially opened, and the food was a hit! It was also very reasonably priced. If you're vegan and needing some amazing eats, definitely give Lyra's Natural Kitchen a visit.“

“My husband and I were looking for a new place for breakfast last weekend and stumbled upon The Grill. We went on a Sunday after church and they were busy but our wait was short and staff was friendly. I ordered one of the breakfast specials, the Cinnamon sugar French toast, and it was honestly the best French toast I have ever had. I can’t even find words to describe how amazing this French toast tasted.. the cinnamon sugar made the crust a little crisp and it was truly to die for.. so good I’m still thinking about it over a week later 😂 Also the potatoes were crisp on the outside and so fluffy and delicious on the inside. This was the first time in years neither of us needed a to-go box because the food was so good we couldn’t stop eating it!! I don’t leave reviews as often as I should but our experience here was so good and we enjoyed the atmosphere so much we can’t wait to come back in with the whole family! “We made reservations for 4:15 PM and were seated right away in a comfortable booth. Our server was attentive and started by taking our drink, appetizer, and main course orders. We started with the Bacon Deviled Eggs, which were delicious. Our server also checked back with us after the appetizer arrived to make sure everything was okay. My steak was cooked perfectly to medium and it wasn't as hot. The steak could have used just a pinch of salt, but overall it was good. The Au Gratin Potatoes were cheesy and full of flavor. The meatloaf was tender and flavorful, and the Parmesan Mashed Potatoes were surprisingly good. The Parmesan flavor was noticeable without being overpowering. The Wedge Salad definitely lived up to its name—it was a true wedge salad rather than lettuce pieces simply cut up and placed on a plate. Overall, we had a very enjoyable dining experience at Firebirds. The food was flavorful, portions were satisfying, and our server was attentive throughout the meal. I would definitely consider returning!“

“First Watch is now our favorite breakfast place to go. It was really bad years ago as far as time to serve. It was so bad we would drive to the one in west end and still be done sooner. After they removed the manager and automated the ordering system, we now give it an A+.“

You can stop by, quickly pickup items, and take home for heat and eat. I was tasked with making backup Thanksgiving holiday meal in case a planned gathering didn't pan out. You know how you might get a holiday invitation and you're not sure how it will work out. So, I decided that do it myself. I made my signature dish for the carry along to the planned meal, but I left the extra back home, and I got the 3 lb smoked turkey to go from Honey Baked Ham, and make a few sides at home. After buying a pie and ice cream, I was set. No fuss, no stress. Great way to de-stress for the holiday and have a backup in case your Thanksgiving Invite Destination folks CAN'T COOK! You can show up, he cordial, bring your plate, then go home and have your meal, your way, and everyone is happy. Just my thoughts.“

Due to my schedule and my time in Richmond to see my son and his family, I’m always heading to Joe’s Out to grab amazing food and of course their fabulous Ice Cream! 9 out of 10 times I’m greeted by Austin, the young man that always smiles and provides you with great conversation and service. “Our family loves LongHorn Steakhouse. Justin was our server and he was pleasant, accommodating and made good recommendations (pork chop entree). We ordered the wings (always on point), the filet and pork chop entree. The steaks were cooked to proper temp for everyone and pork chop absolutely delicious (trying this myself next time) I don't know whose responsibility it is to clear the table but that was the only reason why I gave a '4' rating for service. We had to pile all our appetizer platters and plates to make room for our entrees, which is annoying because you don't want to be looking at a pile of dirty dishes while your eating.“

There was a problem with the medium sauce, the oil fully separated from the hot sauce in transit, leaving the wings practically bare but very oily and I had to air fry them and toss them in my own sauce at home.“
