“Stopped by for the first time today. Billio was extremely nice & walked us through the whole menu as four tv screens full of options can be overwhelming. There was no rush to make decisions, everything was cooked to order. Appreciate you guys!!“

“Ate here last night. Food is delicious. They do nickel and dime a bit. $3.50 for tortilla chips. Most mexican restaurants serve them complementary. Refills are free but they just bring the chips and you have to ask if you need more condiments. I also was charged a $1.50 because I wanted my tacos Lola’s way. I don’t remember seeing additional $1.50 to have them made that way on the menu. Also, sign outside margueritas are $7 all day everyday but then we we charged $8 each because you had to pay $1 extra for the flavoring. All these lovely add ons add up and you are not aware until the bill comes. Lastly there was a man working behind the bar with a very long beard. Since long hair needs to be tied back - this beard should have been ponytailed, in a net or shaved off. After seeing that I almost threw up my meal and my drink that he prepared.“

“Pelon’s burritos always deliver the freshest and juiciest burritos. My favorites are the Curl with fried shrimp added, Hawaiian pipeline with chicken, Hang Ten, and chips w/ guac or queso. Bring your stretchy pants because you will definitely enjoy the serving size and what other items you add to your meal. The location feels welcoming and spacious. There is plenty of parking, and they always handle the lines well.“

“This place was awesome! Great food, great service, great price! The guac appetizer was sooo good! For dessert I recommend the Spanish cake without being dipped in milk and cream. It was much less mushy and so good milk-less! Yum!“

“The Spicy Fiesta Burrito is ridiculously good and it is truly quite spicy. I always get a side of both the green and red salsas and they are also perfect. This place is almost always busy and the indoors only seats maybe 10 people or so, so I always order mine carry out. Only complaint is that they will not make ANY modifications like adding cilantro, but Highly recommend!“

“Decided to stop by yesterday and l order the Pupusas, they were phenomenal. Not greasy/oily as other places, had the ones with beans and the traditional cheese ones as well. Staff was friendly, got to meet the owner, definitely see my self stopping at least once a week here for lunch. delicious food and the horchata was on point too“

“I ordered three tacos through one of the kiosks. I got two steaks and one sausage. The meat and the flour tortillas were good, but I messed up ordering the toppings and didn't get what I wanted. Also, instead of steak, I would have ordered ground beef if it had been offered. I, also, got the chips and queso, which I did not like. The queso was fine, but the chips had too much of a corn flavor for my taste. I did like the mini churros with chocolate dipping sauce. When I go back, I'll skip the chips and queso and get the full-size churros instead.
I liked the fact that the straws and utensils were all plant-based and recyclable. There was a recycle bin next to the regular trash bin for convenience.“

“I love this place, the servers help one another so you don't just have your waiter but a couple other and the Manager even helps just to make sure everyone and everything is running smoothly. The food is great from the tacos to the fajitas to the drinks. I can say enough about Jose's“

“Guads at Granby has become my go-to place anytime I am in Norfolk. My first visit, we had Tatiana as our waitress, and have been fortunate to have her almost every time since. She remembered my order just after a couple of visits, always has a smile, and is so kind and fun to talk with. The food is extremely delicious and the portions are very generous. Each time Ive come back, Ive brought friends and family for their first time and they have also added Guads to their go-to list. Those who have ordered alcoholic drinks, have raved about the flavor. In addition to Tatiana and the quality food; every other worker is extremely friendly, with one gentleman who carries out the food on his full length of his arms, and even dances as he does nightly clean up. You are treated like family by everyone. I cant wait to be back in Norfolk to visit Tatiana and have an amazing meal again! Highly recommend.“

“How is this place not rated five stars?! I’m not kidding we’ve lived in Hampton Roads for ten years and this is BY FAR the best Hispanic food in this area. The tortillas are absolutely mouth watering. We had a carne asada & chorizo burrito (probably one of the best burritos both my husband and I have ever tasted). Then I had the pozole and it was amazing, huge chunks of pork & super fresh. The star of the show was the papusas. The flavor was insane. The waitress was also probably the nicest waitress ever in the history of every single waitress I’ve ever had wait on me. This place is going to be our new go to. It’ll be worth the drive from southern Chesapeake.“

“I realize that it has been a long time since I have been here. so there was just me by myself and I ordered the nacho Supremes and sweet tea. the tea tasted like it was a day or two old. when I ordered the tea. I asked for additional ice. it did not come with additional ice. I then requested a glass of ice that I never received. I ended up drinking the water along with my nachos. the nachos were okay. The service stunk. on top of that the menu stated that's a nacho supreme was like 12,15, or 16 dollars or something like that. I was charged $20. I did however leave a cash tip on the table but I'm not even sure the waitress got that because I saw the bus boy pick it up and put it in his pocket. This may explain why I have not been there in some time And why I probably will not go back or recommend this place. There are too many Mexican restaurants in this area to deal with stuff like this in one restaurant.“

The gentleman (Earl) running the register immediately acknowledged my presence without neglecting the customers before him and assured me that my order would be ready momentarily. He remained attentive throughout my brief wait, all while managing the register and assisting with other duties. Earl is the Epitome of what great customer service looks like. “I have been coming here for a long time. You can tell the clientele and workers are authentic Mexicans or Hispanics that enjoy real Hispanic food. I usually get my food to go, but today I decided to eat in the restaurant. I always get the tacos Carne Asada because it is the best Carne Asada I’ve ever had and all of hampton roads and I love Mexican food so I’ve eaten out pretty much every my same place that I can think of. A regular customer even suggested a dish that is similar to empanadas, but even better the pastry they used was flaky and crispy. Their Carne Asada is always flavor just right and very tender that you can just bite right through it and it’s melting your mouth. Their tortillas in their chips are also homemade, and you can tell them. I feel like this place was under the radar for a very long time, but you have to check this out as soon as you can!“

“Amazing food fair price, unlike the other places here. The Mexican restaurant has good verity, I would recommend the bowels and only the burrito if you're on the go. Never get the tacos they aren't bad, but they are worth the price, and you get very little toppings and i don't think they make smaller tacos they could qualify for the record smallest for high cost. This restaurant is like a cheaper Chipotle for reference. Sushi place his is really over priced and the food is not fresh. I would normally recommend Subway because of the price, but they put little vegetables even if you ask for extra, and if you ask for light sauce, they pile it on.“

The staff is an added bonus, they've all been so kind each visit and seem to enjoy working with each other. The restaurant is clean and well organized and has a great corner view for people watching.“

The person that put the food together should be more patient and explain the procedure a little nicer and be more patient for people whose first time customer.
