“Oh my Lord! I had forgotten how good Mexican can be when done right. This was the best restaurant surprise that my husband and I have had in a looong time. They were closing and agreed to serve us anyway. Who does that any more? These guys. From the moment we walked in, we were transported to Mexico. The family that runs it treats you as though you are part of the family. And what was even greater was how delicious and fresh the food was. Tacos were just incredible - Al pastor, asada, pollo and chorizo. We can't wait to bring our little boys here. Thank you, Agave, for saving us from the Mexican food desert that used to be NOVA.“

“Loved this place for years. I'm unsure why it took me so long to review. The burritos here are crazy good. I used to eat a stuffed pepper dish here but I can't remember the last time I ordered it. Regardless, that stuffed pepper was worth slapping your mom just to get away with hers. I tried the posole for the first time today and it is the nearest to perfection a soup can get. A little spicier than taco bamba's posole and the meat is fall off the bone tender, however, there are no bones in the soup“

The only interaction we had was through the bar tender, which wasn’t much. Didn’t seem like wanted to be there nor did he seem to care about customers waiting to order. “This taco truck is located on 14th St in Arlington,Virginia, right off of Rt. 50 West. Not only are the tacos here delicious but the customer service is very good. The few times I drove by this food truck I noticed pretty decent customer lines which led me to believe this place sold delicious tacos. However on this day I was in luck because the truck did not have a line, on a Saturday evening. I could smell the grill as I crossed the street on my way to the truck. The ordering process was very easy and efficient. On this occasion I ordered Asada (beef) and Pastor (pork) tacos to-go. The tacos were full-flavor and delicious. “This is a very good taco truck experience in Arlington, VA. The first time I visited was a Sunday evening and surprisingly the truck had a line of customers waiting to be served. To me this was a good indication that prepare good food. The ordering process was simple and where the truck is stationed there are a couple picnic tables off to the side for customers to eat their food on-site. The tacos here are delicious. I've tried their Asada and Pastor tacos, both of which are delicious and had all of the appropriate Mexican flavors you'd expect. I've also tried their quesadillas. On two separate occasions I ordered the chicken quesadilla and both times they were delicious. More importantly the way in which the quesadillas were prepared was consistent both times. What I like about their quesadillas is they just don't load them with melty cheese for the visual effect. It seems they use a Mexican blend cheese and an adequate amount. The flavor is present which I appreciate most. This isn't the normal cheesy quesadilla that is flavorless. Overall a very good experience. Give them a try.“

I also do prefer health foods & there is very little I can order, but just enough that I still make the trip, a few times a year.With the last thought said, I would be happier if they had a healthier portion of the menu. Sure there are great places to jus get tacos, or a great torta, or really good burritos (all of which I talk about in my other reviews). But El Paso restaurant does all of it great! The food is not very spicy here but I guess that makes sense for the area. Super friendly, quick with requests, and checked in frequently. Not only that, they clearly operate as a team and several folks came by during the meal to ensure drinks were filled, napkins were in order ... and shockingly, as we were wrapping up, someone wiped the crumbs off the table. I mean that's a white-tablecloth steakhouse thing... right? Apparently it's a Guapos thing too. Ambiance: Fun to hip. Ordered at the counter. One of the disadvantages is their English speaking skills isn't the best. The person working the counter really doesn't understand anything and was relying on other people to tell her what to do. Place was clean. I'm not sure I would dine in but it seems like a good and solid takeout spot. It's not as tasty as Taco Bamba but then again what is? Also I'm a little bit confused about some of the things on their menu some of the other reviewers mentioned that they had goat but I didn't see it on their menu at all which is disappointing because I would have loved to have tried a goat taco For the four tacos that I did get, this was about 16 bucks which is I think a bit high given the amount and quantity of food that was stuffed into each taco. This is on the map identified as Annandale but I did see a big call more sign right outside the parking lot so I think that we're in a area that is more culmore rather than Annandale Overall if I was in the area I would check it out again.“
