“Loved this place for years. I'm unsure why it took me so long to review. The burritos here are crazy good. I used to eat a stuffed pepper dish here but I can't remember the last time I ordered it. Regardless, that stuffed pepper was worth slapping your mom just to get away with hers. I tried the posole for the first time today and it is the nearest to perfection a soup can get. A little spicier than taco bamba's posole and the meat is fall off the bone tender, however, there are no bones in the soup“

“We went for a date here after my husband was looking for something close to Chantilly but different. Oh wow! The food was so fresh and hot and phenomenal! We love Indian food so tried the butter chicken tacos and masala burrito. The chips and salsa kept coming as quickly as we asked. I can not wait to return!“

“One of the best spots in the DMV hands down. I wanted to check out the place for some time because I had never experienced Taco Tuesday for myself. Like it was just lingering in my head until one day I suddenly said to myself, " I should really try something new today ". And thus, here we are with a review. La Tingeria is a Taco Shop located in Falls Church. If there's one thing I will have to mention, the parking situation is like trying to solve a jigsaw puzzle. Why are there so many cars here? How can anyone park here? There's parking on the streets, the sidewalk but it's very limited. I'm not saying there are better options close to you but if you are briefly going in to pick up food, I think you'd be okay with parking relatively close by. I must have hit the lottery when I accidently checked Instagram or so on Tuesday. Saw a post from where their social media representative mentioned 5-9 PM for 2 dollar Tacos. That's amazing! I decided to splurge because why not right? After parking, I ventured inside. I think I must have been the first to walk in once it hit 5 PM, I was on a mission for sure. I immediately went to the board to check out all the Taco Items they had.. Birria, Chorizo, Hal Pastor, Carne Asada, ect... So many good options. I got 2 Birria Goat, 2 Birria Beef, 1 Tinga Chicken, 1 Tinga Beef, 2 Chorizos for my choice of tacos. I also paid for Consomme which is an absolute must if I'm going to dip my tacos in delicious broth. I also had to get a Mexican Coke too. The only downside was there was one that wasn't chilled so it was at room temperature. The Birria Goat/Beef were soft, tender chunks of meat that melted in your mouth with full bliss the minute you took a bite. Dipping it into the Consommé felt like a dream came true. I never experienced a wide array of euphoria after eating good tacos. The Tinga Chicken/Beef Tacos were okay but the meat kept falling out of the Taco and into the Consommé. It was good but I think I would opt for something else. The Chorizo tacos had a slight kick to them but not overpowering. I think with the Consommé they brought more of that saltiness out. For around 24 dollars, this is a match made in heaven. I think truly this is a place I will check out again for sure.“

“We were on vacation and happened down this way looking for a late meal (it was about 8pm). Most shops were closed but Guapo's was open and bustling so we gave it a shot. Their free appetizer chips were incredible, especially if you get a fresh warm batch, and the pico and salsa (not sure of ingredients but warm brown dip). Wife got a chimichanga which she loves and I got a combo of cheese and chicken enchiladas which were fabulous! We came back at the end of our trip and had margaritas which were best I've had (not too sweet or "alcohol-y) in a while. That led to a 2nd dinner which I ordered the Cinco De Mayo platter expecting a couple fajitas. I read the menu wrong because what arrived to the table took most of the available space: a plate with three BBQ pork ribs, strips of grilled chicken, strips of tender steak, chorizo, fajita onions/peppers, and two of their shrimps as well as a second plate with baked beans and yellow rice and a third plate with scoops of pico, guacamole, and sour cream and a basket with three free warm tortillas. Every single thing on this plate was out of this world delicious!!! Pricing was very reasonable too, staff were very friendly but soft spoken and the atmosphere inside was pretty noisy (although patio/outdoor seating is nice if the weather is to your liking). They had desert too but I didn't get any because I was too full both visits. We ended up eating at a nearby restaurant on a different day and the value comparison was night and day. Guapo's is your best value on this street in Shirlington regardless if you're looking at taste, price, or customer friendliness (hours, staff, atmosphere)Parking: We walked or took public transit so I don't have first hand experience but appeared to be street parking with some free and some paid spots depending if you were on the strip or a side street. You're going to have a hard time regardless. There's a grocery store at the end of the road which did have a parking lot which you might be able to utilize but I recommend bus or walking.Kid-friendliness: Inside it's a bit loud but the walls have decorations like six shooters and mariachi paintings which would have amused or started a conversation with my kids. They had customers with birthdays and the staff do a unique performance and provide a sombrero which again would have amused and delighted my children to see. I think as long as your kiddos like Mexican food and can handle a bit of loudness then its a good balance between kid friendly and adult friendly atmosphere.“

“Loved the tacos, some better than other, service was good, only 4 stars for atmosphere because the ceiling was staring back at us but other than that I liked the seating and layout, also saw they have events some nights and definitely will be going back to try more food and the events. A great place next to GMU campus in university mall, and the best part is that they have Jarritos. Chips were solid too, salsa is spicy, if you are white or just have no spice tolerance at all beware.“

“Best birria tacos ever! Make sure you get the sides, rice, beans, esquiotes (elotes in a bowl). It was so good we got food to go to eat tomorrow. We live 60 miles away and unanimously agreed to come back here just for the food. They are getting a liquor license and will start serving drinks next week. I can't wait to return. Additional bonus, the staff was awesome, friendly, helpful, hospitable and the food came out quickly.“

“Rango's is an enjoyable option in the midst of busy Rt. 7 in the heart of Tyson's. Within the radius of other cuisines in the area, Rango's tops with expansive offerings full menu including brunch and cocktails. I especially enjoyed my protein intake here of carne asada fajita! Served exactly as ordered, my 10oz served medium was so tender. I usually eat only half but this gal had no shame and inhaled everything lol! Chips, salsa, tortillas, and desserts are all made in house. All outstanding! Be it a business lunch, date night, post shopping, and all celebrations, I highly recommend Rango's! Past Tiffany's and Neisha, there is free parking garage right next to the restaurant.“

“Amazing meal! Great staff service! Never had El Salvadorian food before and loved it! Ordered two bean and cheese pupusas and they were delicious along with the red sauce and cabbage side. Did go with a "small" strawberry margarita and bowl of guacamole and chips and the guacamole was outstanding too. Closed out the meal with a plate of hot churros. Just perfect. Highly recommend this place!“

“Great customer service and food.I placed an online order with specifications, which were followed exactly, but the meal description did not specify that a certain ingredient would be in there. I went back in prepared to repay for my order because I didn’t have it in me to hassle anyone. They not only remade my food for free, but did it quickly with no complaints. Everyone was nice and my food was great. Will definitely be returning again.“

“Qué rico! ? This Mexican food is absolutely divine! The flavors are so vibrant and authentic, it's like a taste explosion in my mouth! The tortillas are perfectly handmade, the meats are tender and juicy, and the sauces are rich and bold. And the presentation? ¡Es una obra de arte! ? Every dish is a masterpiece, a feast for the eyes as much as the taste buds. I could eat here every day and never get tired of it. The service is also top-notch, friendly and attentive. ¡Viva la comida mexicana! ?? Five stars isn't enough, this place deserves a million! ?“

“Great authentic local taqueria that doesn't break the bank. Love their burritos, the original and California one. I'd chose it over Chipotle any day. The first time my coworkers and I went to dine in, we caw boxes of fresh avocados coming in. This is an authentic and great joint that uses fresh ingredients.“

“The tacos here are great, guacamole and salsas are very tasty, the chips are sometimes stale. Also, there is an employee here that is a bit rude. The one with curly hair, wears sunglasses, and is usually working the register. He is impatient if you don't immediately grab your order when it's called, he doesn't help in an efficient manner, he takes his time and it seems dileberate and it just comes of dismissive to a customer.“

“Nice experience, good outdoor seating area. I enjoyed the jalapeño margarita and the queso. The carne asada burrito was okay, the sauce of the burrito had some spice but it was also sweet (it tasted a bit like BBQ sauce), little weird of a combination but the filling was very good. My friend enjoyed her birria tacos. The chips that came with the queso were probably the best item- amazing seasoning on them!“

“Updating for our most recent visit on 4/18/24WOW! Amazing staff and service, fun atmosphere, and a pretty strong happy hour margarita. Just a great time all around. Our meal at Senor was a mixed bag, but they went out of their way to solve the problems we had and because of that we will likely be back in the future. The restaurant itself is a fun space, with lots of bright decoration and fun music. Likewise, the entire hosting and serving team went above and beyond. They were let down by some kind of mess in the kitchen that left us waiting almost an hour for a 2 item order. The team was apologetic, communicated, and gave us a break on the bill to help make up for the issue. I hope that was an isolated problem, because once it came out the food was solid to“

“Solid spot for tacos & beer in Crystal City. They offer a lively, casual atmosphere with some brightly colored decor. The flavors on the birria, carnitas, and pastor tacos were top-notch, and they offer some more innovative ones as well (Nashville hot chicken). Service was friendly and quick.“

“Overall a good place with good food. However it is a little pricey for what you get. But then again, it is in Falls Church. The grouper taco was good, but only one small piece of a fried fish that may have been grouper but who knows for sure? The small size of the shell made it difficult to hold all of the "filling" (cole slaw, etc) which was the bulk of the taco. The empanadas were overcooked but the filling remained tasty. Not sure if they were made on the premises or not but I didn't ask. Having Modelo Negra on tap was a highlight. The margaritas were average. I was visiting the area and a friend recommended this place. If I go back again, I certainly give it another try.“

“First time at the Annandale location. I ordered 2 pupusas revueltas. The pupusas were pretty good, not the best I've tried, but definitely not bad either. What stood out to me was the irony of the name of the establishment and the fact that it took about 15-20 minutes to get my two pupusas. Far from express. And there were maybe 2 other people waiting for their food. I'm not sure what took so long for the most standard order they could have, but hopefully, next time, it won't take as long. The pupusas were good though!“

“They aren't the best tacos in NoVA but they're not bad by any means, I really enjoy them. The restaurant is walking distance from where I live (and pretty easy to walk to if you live nearish to the center of Annandale), near lots of other cool shops, and with a generally good menu. The fusion food is fun. I generally consider fusion food to be an insult to both cuisines rather than a complimentary combination. I didn't feel that way here, I think they did a pretty good job balancing the Korean and Mexican influences.“

“Oh my Lord! I had forgotten how good Mexican can be when done right. This was the best restaurant surprise that my husband and I have had in a looong time. They were closing and agreed to serve us anyway. Who does that any more? These guys. From the moment we walked in, we were transported to Mexico. The family that runs it treats you as though you are part of the family. And what was even greater was how delicious and fresh the food was. Tacos were just incredible - Al pastor, asada, pollo and chorizo. We can't wait to bring our little boys here. Thank you, Agave, for saving us from the Mexican food desert that used to be NOVA.“
