“We admittedly did not pay attention to the hours of operation and came after 2:15 (they close at 3 for a break prior to dinner hours) with a party of 8.... thankfully we were the only party, otherwise we could have been turned away. But the sweet woman seated us and let us know nicely. We did our best to eat quickly and respect their closing time so that we could come back shamefree lol!

“Decided to try mae ornnit with my sister based on the strong reviews they have. Our server provided excellent, attentive service from start to finish. Mixed reviews on the food: Papaya salad was a downer. Lacks that nice flavor with fish sauce and papaya slices were sliced a bit too thick. Tom kha gai and chicken wonton soups were a winner. Lovely coconut milk flavor for tom kha soup. Fried tofu was pretty decent. The sweet and sour sauce for crispy flounder rocked, but I was expecting a slightly fresher flounder than what we had. Overall a pretty nice experience and we may return if we pass by the area again.“

“This restaurant is close to the INOVA medical complexMosaic, across from BMW Fairfax. The lunch special was amazing for $12.95. I chose chicken pad Thai and spring roll. Both came out piping hot and delicious. The portion was large and I brought half home with me. They have approx. 10 tables, pleasant music and fresh flowers on each table. My server (Kate) was attentive and very sweet. I highly recommend trying this restaurant, it’s always nice to support a local business.“

“Nalak Thai is a gorgeous restaurant with a cozy atmosphere, great looking food, and attentive staff. We enjoyed our time here and will be coming back.

We ordered the Moo Ping which was very tasty. It had a great grilled flavor and the sweet and sour sauce was a nice touch. We also got a side of peanut sauce, and I highly recommend getting that too for the Moo Ping.

For our entree we got the Laad Na with a side of white rice. It was cooked well, fresh ingredients, but lacked flavor. It felt like something was missing, maybe a little salt? Not sure, but we mixed it with the sauces from the Moo Ping and it helped.

The matcha flight was very lovely and it was nice to try the different flavors. The Thai matcha was my favorite, followed by the mango, coconut and strawberry.

I will say, this Thai place is a little more expensive than others in the area so keep that in mind if you want to visit. Great for a date night, though.“

“Had read some mixed reviews but we gave it a shot and we were greatly impressed! We called ahead for our party of 10 and they had our reservations ready and accommodated us nicely. The service was excellent and the food was fantastic. Our party ranged from age 14 to 55, some loved Thai and some had never tried it. There was something for everyone to enjoy on the menu. Plus, it was very reasonably priced. We had a large party and it didn't break the bank, as they say. Great food and comradery was had by all! “The crab fried rice is literally the reason my husband and I travel over an hour away for! We live in Maryland and make the drive each time because it’s so flavorful and a great portion size.

Their drunken noodles are also delicious with your choice of protein. The decor is very pretty, and it feels like a fine dining experience. Highly recommend!“

In my maybe 5 years of going here the only time they've ever gotten something wrong was confusing water for sprite, and I mean its a clear drink so whatever. The inside is also clean and well kept, even the restrooms. Again, 5 years I've been coming here. Just as good as the food was the service. There was this older lady there that I absolutely loved. In fact, even if the food was mediocre, which it definitely is not, I would still go back there for the service in particularly for this lady.

I didn’t comment on the atmosphere because I had my dog and sat outside to eat at a table that was not dedicated to the restaurant. But that was a nice atmosphere. It was very nice weather and surprisingly quiet given that the table was right next to the parking lot.“

“Pasa Thai is more than Passa-ble, as the pork red curry and spicy onion rings were banging. I also always gotta respect any place with as large a tea selection as theirs. They also refilled my water cup a lot, something other places sometimes neglect. I guess my one complaint is that the onion rings could've been spicier.“
