“I’ve been here in the past and before the new owners. The new owners/chef are excellent! It’s a cute, small, family owned restaurant with a cozy vibe. You feel like you’re at their house and they’re hosting you. Highly recommend!! I love the moussaka and falafel pita :)“
“We had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant some time ago to celebrate a special occasion over dinner. We were thoroughly impressed with every aspect of the restaurant, from the food to the drinks and the service. We tried the signature drink, Villagio Mule, a delicious combination of housemade ginger juice, lime, and a sweet note from Averna. For our appetizers, we enjoyed fresh mussels sautéed in a garlic white wine sauce and crispy fried calamari, which was perfectly cooked. We then tried two different pastas, both of which were excellent. Finally, we indulged in some delightful desserts, which were the perfect end to a perfect meal, satisfying our sweet cravings. The service was top-notch throughout our dining experience, and the ambiance of the restaurant was great. It was the ideal place to celebrate our special occasion and enjoy what life offers.“
“Long drive from central VA with a stop here before we headed back. No wait to sit outside. Quiet if a bit warm, but fans kept the air moving and the umbrellas blotted direct sunlight. The food was fabulous. Octopus as appetizer was fresh and not spongy (as it can be if not fresh or if cooked poorly). Branzino in parchment paper was herbaceous and well-seasoned with tomato that enhanced the flavor more than it overpowered it. Wedge salad was unexpectedly filling and large. Dessert special of panna cotta was shared over a cappuccino. Really, though, the reason why we'll be coming back is the waitstaff. I could not have asked for better service.“
“Great experience…even on a holiday! This place was practically empty on Easter. Everywhere else was booked completely, but I had heard about OM from a friend recently, so we decided to give it a try. Food was amazing, service was quick and friendly, and the atmosphere was calm and inviting. Would definitely return for special occasions, or just about any occasion.“
“Nice, clean, fast and efficient, very modern and newly painted interior design one of the cleanest Pizza Boli’s out there with good food and customer service I used to work in Maryland as a commercial painter and I used to eat pizza Boli’s for lunch very often but nothing can compare to this branch very well established and “
“I haven't been to Maggianos in years. We were at the mall last night and was excited to try it. The food was good and plentiful. We'll be eating on leftovers for the next couple of days. We sat at a table in the bar. I want to give praise to the servers working in the bar (night of 3/30). They were busy making drinks but were still so attentive to us and the other tables in the bar. They made the experience that much better.“
“Over the top service. Husband and wife business owned serves the best Italian food with a twist of their own hometown flavor. Truly a family restaurant with great atmosphere and a super attentive and friendly staff. Once you taste something really good, your taste buds will change forever. Their marinara sauce is very good, meatballs are soft and full of flavor. Pastas are great and an awesome selection of great wines.Expresso coffee is so good!!Finally, I really truly appreciate people who work hard and puts such an enormous effort to satisfy their customers. These folks are always there working hard and their passion shows on the amazing food that they serve at this establishment. Many wishes and blessings to Armettas, to the staff and amazing owners.Best regards“
“Villa Bella is such an amazing restaurant. It can be difficult to get a reservation here as it is really popular in the Burke area, but that's because it is such a unique spot. I love the wood-fired pizzas from here because this style adds to the crispiness of the pizza crust. Calamari fritti is nice and airy, unlike many places where they sometimes make the appetizer too dense or oily. Reasonable amount of salt in the calamari fritti, which impresses me because I don't find that often in the calamari I've gotten from other Italian restaurants. The fried mozzarella and arancini are also some must-haves. Before eating here, I used to not like arancini, but this place has converted me into someone who loves arancini. With pasta dishes, some of my personal favorites are the ziti alla Paesana, manicotti, and ravioli. Their chicken parm pasta is also really good. This cozy restaurant nestled in Burke definitely sets the bar high for Italian food in the DMV and has personally elevated my palate on Italian cuisine. I highly recommend giving this restaurant a try, and even a faraway drive is worth it in my opinion. I definitely hope to come back here.“
“Our favorite pizza! DELICIOUS non-chain pizza reasonably priced. We always get the family deal that comes with a free small pizza. Even their cheese pizzas are delicious. The crust is crispy and their toppings are fresh and just the right amount.“
“Been searching for a pizza place for 2 years. Stumbled across this gem. Best white pizza around. Only critique is that while the crust is great, it’s very floppy. A good NY style pizza has a nice solid base even with lots of toppings on it. And I love the amount of toppings this place puts on the pizza. You definitely have that down. And the sauce that comes with that delicious cheesy bread, is to die for. I know now to order extra. Best best best best pizza in the area if you’re from NY like me and miss a good tasting crust, sauce, and piled with toppings. ?“
“We were just there last weekend, and our family has been going to brunch there for many years. We usually have an omelet with home fries and toast or waffles deluxe with eggs, sausage or bacon and have never been disappointed. And note that the homemade baklava and the tiramisu are delicious. The atmosphere is cozy and comfortable, we are usually waited on quickly and the staff is friendly, warm and responsive.“
“Yesterday, the kids said they wanted to eat pizza, so I went there. I ate it at the store, but it was Supreme?? I think I ate a medium pizza, but it was really delicious and they were very kind. I accidentally spilled water on it, but they said it was okay and wiped it up, and they were really kind to the kids. It was a delicious meal and a great day. Thank you.“
“First-time customer and did call-for-pickup (ready in 20 mins); arrived and young gentleman immediately greated me and surprisingly apologized to me, that my 12" pizza wasnt ready and needed 10 mins. Appreciated his honesty and sincere customer service (kinda rare these days) offering me a drink and dessert on-the-house. No issues on my end taking time for quality food and service. btw, tasty pizza and philly-cheese + great fries (light+crispy) + tiramasu! we'll be back!!!“
“Just an amazing beautiful atmosphere, with exquisite service and wonderful authentic Italian cuisine. Owner is an awesome person who will greet you personally and check in on you and your guests pro actively. The waiters are courteous and on top of everything. I wish I could dine there every night! I will definitely go back.“
“1st time dining here. Almost every table full on a Friday night, a good sign. Service was surprisingly quick and very attentive. Portion sizes are enormous, enough for two people per main dish. Tri-color gnocchi was fun; chicken parmesan solid; cannelloni good; pizzas were popular, although the crust softened too much while at the table. We look forward to returning in the future.“
“Milano's is all about family and community. You taste the love in their food and experience it in their service. I feel at home when I'm there.Vegetarian options: SpanakopitaParking: Parking is located right out front also in the vicinity of the restaurant (which is located in a strip mall/plaza.“
“If you want to feel like you have stepped into a scene from the movie "Godfather" this is the place. The menu is quintessentially what you would image the "Don" or his men enjoying. I'd definitely choose the veal marsala, the clam casino, and the desserts.“
“Great place with excellent food. Always great staff that remembers the regulars. Highly recommend, local establishment that also gives back to different charities each month during the last Monday. Worth the stop.Vegetarian options: They just started offering the vegetarian menu. Being Celiac, usually go with vegetarian menu to be safer. Limited and they didn't have tofu because no one has been ordering it. More people order it, may be able to keep it on hand.“
“This is a neat small pizza joint chain that you will find in a small strip mall with limited parking around it. They have tables and chairs set up outside, in teh front of the restaurant that customers can eat at. They also have a very small dining area, with a few tables, that you can eat at as well. It is more like a carryout joint with some seating thrown in. In addition to some traditional and exotic pizzas, they also serve subs, cheesesteaks, sandwiches, salads, wings, fries and a few sweet treats. They also have chips and bottled drinks that you can purchase. The staff there was friendly enough. My interaction with them was limited though. You can make your order online, over the phone, at the counter or use the self serve kiosk. I used the kiosk to order an Island Time Pizza. It was ready in about 10 minutes. I ate it in the restaurant's dining area. It was fresh, hot and very tasty. It had a unique and distinct flavor. I recomend checking this place out for a pie to go or dining in. They have some really unique and exotic signature pies to choose from and they also have the traditional favorites as well. Bon appetite.“
“Emily went above and beyond to ensure we got what we needed. I realized at pickup that I had placed my order incorrectly. Emily was patient, friendly, and Uber professional in dealing with me (who was very stressed) and fixed everything. Food was perfect and delicious.“
“I'm from Brooklyn and hold NY Pizza to high standards. Johnny's is hands-down, the best place to get pizza in Virginia. I tell everyone I know about it.It's not just that the pizza is amazing, has options by the slice, and excellent pizza topping combinations. You can get pizza by the slice, they have many non-pizza options, and you can dine there. My personal favorite nobody in Virginia does as well as they do is the Chicken a la vodka pizza!Vegetarian options: Vegetarian optionsParking: Plenty of parkingKid-friendliness: Kid-friendly location“
“I would like to give a HUGE shout out to Brothers Encore restaurant on Waterway Drive.I had planned a 40th birthday party planned for my husband with 22 guests last night. We had a reservation at the Montair Country Club. When we arrived at 6pm, the entire club was shut, locked, and lights out (despite a lunchtime call that they'd be open and had our birthday booking). We received no phone call that the club would be closed. From the carpark, I had to phone around town and re-route our guests to Brothers Encore. The manager Tara was exceptional dealing with me being flustered and fitting our party of 22 in the restaurant. The food was great and atmosphere fun.Thank you. Thank you. Thank you, Brothers Encore.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️#shoutout #brothersencore“
“nice little place my partner and i decided to eat at because maggiano’s was booked up. super nice staff and prompt service. i would avoid the calamari, mozzarella sticks, and bruschetta. the bruschetta bread tasted terribly stale, the calamari was cold and rubbery, and the mozzarella sticks seemed to be prefrozen (overall mid). the complimentary bread on the other hand was delicious. super warm and tasty. i got the manicotti which was good, but could’ve been better. they wrap the manicotti like a burrito so some parts had an excessive amount of pasta in comparison to cheese. my partner loved the fettuccine alfredo he had.“
“Excellent Eritrean breakfast of Egyptian Fava beans with yogurt, chopped onions, toasted buns, tomatoes, and herbs. The taste hit the spot. The café also has cakes and other fresh bakery items for purchase. Service was quick and attentive. Prices are okay. The location is off Duke Street in an office mall. Plenty of parking. I had a blood test at the LabCorp nearby and was famished for breakfast after a long fast. The food hit the spot. Nice pictures of their country on the wall, regular tables and clean restaurant.“
“Ordered take out and the sloukvaki platter order was severely messed up. There was no onion, tomato, or feta as described in the menu. And from my understanding of Greek food, sloukvaki is supposed to be grilled. Everything else was good and correct. The trio dip was really good, but one of the containers was half full. I think there should be more attention paid to prepping the food for take out.“
“Mikayla was really sweet and willing to serve. We always hear kindness goes a long way, and it’s a true statement for those who don’t believe it. The food was really delicious. I tried to chicken Marsala minus mushrooms but I added garlic and it was tasty!! Thank you for allowing me to create a meal that was tasty and memorable. Hats off to the chef ?? .“
“We had an order placed with Dominos and they were so backed up that it would not be ready in time. Little Caesars to the rescue. I walked in, ordered at the counter and walked out less than 15 minutes later with 4 piping hot pizzas. I didn't eat them all myself, but what I had was delicious. I had to remind myself of an upcoming beach trip in order to stop myself from eating the whole pizza.“
“I've ordered from them for years, from work and for 10 plus people. The food is amazing and my last order did not go through on the online delivery service. The staff went out of their way to contact me that the order had gone through, persisted in getting to me and had stellar customer service! Would order from them again and would highly recommend to anyone!Vegetarian options: Eggplant Parmesan was greatParking: Always several spots“
“Ordered delivery from our Hilton hotel, and wow, a very positive experience. We enjoyed greek salads and a delicious thin crust pizza. They were courteous when we ordered (an on the side kind of people), and the delivery was super! Our dinner was great! Recommend!“
“We order a couple of times a week. But Bidenomics is killing this place. Prices are way up. Quality is still there but I tell you this prices are a factor and it is effectively going to close businesses that don’t vary balance cost and quality. This place has the quality.“
“Came in for an order of Chicken Knocci soup for the first in a while. The phone support was great, as was the on-site service. Each representative was attentive, nice, and professional. The greeter opened the door for me with a smile. My wait was about 5-6 minutes past my scheduled pickup, but I didn't mind the wait. I took off a star because they no longer include breadsticks with soup orders. Salads get bottomless breadsticks, as does just about any other Olive Garden meal... except for a $21 bowl of soup. :|“
“I decided to order two large pizzas from Franconia Pizza for a meeting at our church! Everyone was thrilled with the taste, quality, and rapid service! Highly recommended. I’ll certainly order again. Thanks so much for being in the neighborhood!“
“Swiped through other reviews and was a bit skeptical but went in anyways. Pupusas were full of flavor and great! I had the fish and wife had steak ranchero, and we were NOT disappointed! Only thing was the tamales were a bit on the salty side but overall good and still worth it. Spent 85 on a lot of food. I look forward to coming back and trying other menu items!“
“Absolutely great experience every time we order. We had pizza only and their Garlic Spinach Cauliflower Crust pizza is the best! Gluten free options. We are very picky about pizza and theirs tastes best. Family operated. Great customer service. Thank you!!“
“Wow! 17 years ago was the last time I was even in a Bertucci's! That one was in Reading MA but this one was just as great! The rolls and garlic knots are a must! If you still have room then the pizzas are great. Honestly everything is good. Service is awesome and atmosphere is similar to a large family get together.Definitely will come again when I'm back in this area!“
“Vocellis is my usual it’s chain in the NoVa area. Especially for a late night pie. The gentleman who runs the shop in the evenings does a heck of a job making pizza. The order status is accurate and it’s always delicious and fresh. I did get shorted some cannolis once. Partially my fault for not checking my receipt getting excited to chow down on a tasty za. I always order take out vs delivery so I can’t speak to quality of that. Vocellis is one of very few spots in NoVA who does thin crust right. I would be very interested in their take of St. Louis style pizza if they ever gave it a shot.“
“I stopped in to get a little taste of Italy! The venture was very successful!I truly enjoyed my visit, the people are here are wonderful and very appreciative of your patronage! The food and wine were delicious and the dessert was nothing short of amazing! So make a special trip to DRoccos! You will be very happy! The place is fairly small but it has a delicious deck overlooking the river for nice days!CuteRomanticWarmDeliciousThese are the words I would use to describe this cozy place!“
