“Overall, the food was good, but there were a few areas that could have been better. The duck was very different from what we expected. We initially thought it would be a whole duck served with lavender, but it arrived as just two slices per person. While I appreciate the time and effort that goes into preparing the dish, I think the menu should provide a clearer description of what guests will actually receive. The flavor was also quite strong, even for someone who enjoys duck.

The service was less attentive than expected, and since we were celebrating a birthday, we were hoping for a little more acknowledgment. The restaurant did provide a birthday card, which was a nice gesture, but there was nothing else special for the occasion.

On the positive side, I really enjoyed the salad and the side dishes we ordered. Overall, it was a good dining experience, but the food presentation, service, and birthday experience could have been better.“

As fans of Persian cuisine and frequent shoppers at Yekta Market in Rockville— having recently tried our hand at making Persian dishes like Fesenjan at home— coupled with all of the culinary accolades— we had high expectations for JOON. It not only met but exceeded them. Mast-o Musir, yogurt dish with Persian dried shallot and rose petal, was exceptional— more elevated and nuanced than any we’ve had. The mushroom Khoresht stew with white truffle was another highlight, offering perfectly balanced flavors something hard to do with white truffles and a satisfying richness, complemented by the perfectly crunchy Tahdig, iconic golden rice crust. The braised lamb shoulder which Yacine suggested was the undeniable highlight of the meal I which each dish was excellent. Tender and flavorful, it was paired beautifully with texture. It’s a signature dish that rivals the best we’ve ever had, bringing to mind the legendary Bo Ssam pork shoulder from David Chang’s Momofuku— bold, unforgettable, and expertly prepared. The Gormeh Sabzi, short rib stew with its delicious sour depth, was excellent but couldn’t quite match the lamb’s showstopping brilliance. Two very minor points. While the food and service are exceptional, the main dining room lighting would benefit from dimming. A water filtration water system could make a big difference as well. JOON has firmly secured its place as a must-visit dining destination for us. We can’t wait to return and explore more of the menu.“

“Absolutely amazing experience! We reserved two tables - one for our 17 y/o son and his friends. He was celebrating his birthday and the second table for our party of 3. Tony delivered outstanding service to both tables and made the experience so memorable. The cocktails were delicious (the Maverick was quite yummy). The food was incredible. Highly recommend the wagyu dumplings, the lobster tacos and the ribeye!!! The manager came by and checked on both tables which is always a nice touch. They had small bday touches and the most amazing dessert to seal the deal. 10/10! Can't wait to go back. Ask for Tony!“

“IAD has always been my home airport. After moving overseas, I still fly through this airport whenever I’m back visiting. I finally had the chance to check out the Etihad Lounge since it was conveniently located near our gate. My husband and I accessed it through Priority Pass with our Chase Sapphire cards.

I was honestly impressed by this lounge. After visiting many of the lounges at IAD, this is easily one of the nicest Priority Pass lounges I’ve been to, both domestically and internationally. It actually felt much closer to the level of a Chase Sapphire Lounge than what I usually expect from a Priority Pass lounge.

The lounge was busy when we arrived but we were still able to find seats near the bar. My mom had visited several times before and recommended the Impossible Sapphire Burger since I have dietary restrictions. We also ordered the kids’ pizza bagel from the made-to-order menu, which was a surprisingly generous portion and easily enough to share. Everything we ordered was tasty. The buffet selection was limited serving mostly cold dishes.

Everyone was friendly, helpful, and attentive. They were always around and made sure guests were taken care of. I wish we could've stayed longer but we didn't have much time before boarding. The lounge has a comfortable atmosphere and a good place to get some work done before a flight. The restrooms were also very clean and well maintained.

I didn’t have any drinks this time, and my husband stuck with beer and wine but the cocktails looked great. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised by this lounge and will definitely be coming back the next time I’m flying through IAD.“

“HIGHLY recommend booking your private event at Meows Corner!! My whole party was welcomed and made to feel at home with the cats! The owner went above and beyond to make sure that my birthday party was special and we all felt accommodated. I have come here several times to visit the cats previously and out of all the cat lounges I have been to, this one stands out for succeeding at giving cats a safe and stress-free place to call their temporary home. I can’t thank you enough for making my party and I have such an incredible experience!“

“I went during the day. Lots of well maintained tables. Staff was great and the food was very good. Also a good group of patrons, who take the game seriously.
They have a dress code: no tank tops, sweat pants, etc. I find that a good thing.“

“After a long, lackluster day of a birthday—I went to Lulu cafe. And it was the best way possible to conclude my birthday last night. The vibe was really chill and energetic at the same time. The staff as well as the customers just made it a wonderful place to celebrate with my friends. The karaoke rooms had great sound quality and everything about it was designed for a good time. I will definitely be back. Everyone was dancing and getting hyped, even if they were just sitting down and drinking. It was like being on an episode of Adventure Time. High energy, humorous and just solid times.“

“First time visit, because they only open after noon. Received greetings from one of the two staff upon walking in. For the Priority Pass patrons, we were directed to the Business Lounge downstairs. The food choices were limited, but still have both cold and hot dishes. A few choices for snacks and desserts, but only apples for fruits. Offered both hot and cold beverages. Across the hallway, there was a full bar below stairs.“

“Small lounge in terms of floorspace, but it is a BA only lounge so doesn't get busy. Great views of the concourse from the seats that overlook it. The bar was very good and the bartender was very friendly and jovial - I felt sorry for him actually, because he was berated by a rude passenger who had no time for friendliness couldn't wait for his drink. The food was good.“

“Located in the Doubletree Hotel, the Cardinal Lounge was perfect for us to have a nice dinner before flying out the next day. Fish and Chips and the Burger were more than enough for us to eat and the bartender was very helpful with questions we had about the menu.“
