“Incredible food, outstanding service, and exceptional customer care.

My family and I came here a few months ago to celebrate my husband's birthday. Before our reservation, I reached out through the restaurant's website because I have multiple severe food allergies. To my surprise, the head chef personally called me to discuss the menu. He patiently answered all of my questions, carefully documented my allergies, and assured me he could prepare my meal safely since everything is made from scratch.

He never once made me feel like I was inconveniencing the staff. That meant so much to me because dining out with severe food allergies is often stressful, and it's easy to feel like a burden. His kindness and willingness to accommodate me made all the difference.

The Simon prepared my meal safely, and it was absolutely delicious. Everyone else in our group thoroughly enjoyed their meals as well. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with live jazz music that made the evening even more special.

We had a wonderful experience from start to finish, and I would absolutely come back. Thank you for making my husband's birthday such a memorable night!“

“Exceptional Service. Culinary Excellence. Our dining experience at JOON was extraordinary, made even better by the exceptional service from our server, Yacine. His thoughtful recommendations, warm demeanor, and perfectly timed attentiveness made for an unforgettable evening. Even as the restaurant got busier, Yacine maintained his focus on us— a warm and welcoming touch that elevated the entire experience. Thank you! As fans of Persian cuisine and frequent shoppers at Yekta Market in Rockville— having recently tried our hand at making Persian dishes like Fesenjan at home— coupled with all of the culinary accolades— we had high expectations for JOON. It not only met but exceeded them. Mast-o Musir, yogurt dish with Persian dried shallot and rose petal, was exceptional— more elevated and nuanced than any we’ve had. The mushroom Khoresht stew with white truffle was another highlight, offering perfectly balanced flavors something hard to do with white truffles and a satisfying richness, complemented by the perfectly crunchy Tahdig, iconic golden rice crust. The braised lamb shoulder which Yacine suggested was the undeniable highlight of the meal I which each dish was excellent. Tender and flavorful, it was paired beautifully with texture. It’s a signature dish that rivals the best we’ve ever had, bringing to mind the legendary Bo Ssam pork shoulder from David Chang’s Momofuku— bold, unforgettable, and expertly prepared. The Gormeh Sabzi, short rib stew with its delicious sour depth, was excellent but couldn’t quite match the lamb’s showstopping brilliance. Two very minor points. While the food and service are exceptional, the main dining room lighting would benefit from dimming. A water filtration water system could make a big difference as well. JOON has firmly secured its place as a must-visit dining destination for us. We can’t wait to return and explore more of the menu.“

“From the moment we walked in, this was an exceptional dining experience. We ordered multiple plates, but the 22oz bone-in ribeye... It was absolutely heavenly--cooked to perfection, incredibly flavorful, and one of the best steaks I've had in a long time!

What truly made the evening memorable, though, was the outstanding service. Nadine and Kevin were wonderful and went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and valued. Their hospitality made the experience feel special from start to finish.

And a special shoutout to Tek, who was hands down one of the best servers I've ever had. He was attentive, knowledgeable, personable, and made sure everything was perfect throughout our meal. I'll definitely be requesting Tek as my server on future visits.

“The food looks good but is tasteless. This applies to the made-to-order food as well. It’s a good place for relaxation. I like food in Turkish lounge better. The salmon in the picture was not only tasteless and had a lot of bones. It was a slow time. A few waitresses had nothing to do and were chatting. Nobody came to clean up my table. I had to move the tray to an empty table.

“HIGHLY recommend booking your private event at Meows Corner!! My whole party was welcomed and made to feel at home with the cats! The owner went above and beyond to make sure that my birthday party was special and we all felt accommodated. I have come here several times to visit the cats previously and out of all the cat lounges I have been to, this one stands out for succeeding at giving cats a safe and stress-free place to call their temporary home. “I went during the day. Lots of well maintained tables. Staff was great and the food was very good. Also a good group of patrons, who take the game seriously.
They have a dress code: no tank tops, sweat pants, etc. I find that a good thing.“

“After a long, lackluster day of a birthday—I went to Lulu cafe. And it was the best way possible to conclude my birthday last night. The vibe was really chill and energetic at the same time. The staff as well as the customers just made it a wonderful place to celebrate with my friends. The karaoke rooms had great sound quality and everything about it was designed for a good time. I will definitely be back. Everyone was dancing and getting hyped, even if they were just sitting down and drinking. It was like being on an episode of Adventure Time. High energy, humorous and just solid times.“
