Our server was exceptional, making the evening even more special as we celebrated my friend's birthday. To our surprise, they treated my friend to a complimentary glass of Prosecco adorned with a birthday candle. We couldn't resist sharing our entrees, which included smoked brisket meatballs, pan-roasted shrimp, and fried catfish, all of which were incredibly tasty. The portions were generous enough for sharing, and the fried catfish was simply the best we've ever tasted, prompting us to order some to take home. I wholeheartedly recommend this place for a cozy evening with friends or family!“

I’m not usually a downtown Richmond person—city crowds just aren’t my thing—but I’m really glad he suggested this spot. I made the drive from King William, and it was absolutely worth it! The food was fantastic, and the laid-back atmosphere made it the perfect place to reconnect. I had the pork carnitas with a Caesar side salad—super flavorful, and the pork was incredibly tender. The Caesar dressing? Easily one of the best I’ve ever had. I’d love to know if it was homemade or store-bought, because I need it in my life! Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a relaxed and cool meeting spot. I’m already planning to explore more RIC gems soon!“

“I was so hungry that I didn't take pics of my food. The choice was to go here or some steakhouse place. I was intrigued by the menu and the possiblity of some new flavor experiences. Our server was Elliott, she was great. Knowledgeable, funny, and told us what Trouvaille meant ...lucky find. And it lived up to that. I had a mocktail, it was pretty good. As a person who loves wine and on a break, I needed something to give me the vibe of having a drink but not really having it. Anyhoooo, we had the cauliflower appetizer. It was a variety of textures and flavors that went so well together. It was crispy, the black bean puree was unexpectedly good with the flavor of curry and pickled shallots. We both ordered the braised short ribs. Today was the first time I have had kimchi and it didn't disappoint. There was a fair amount of ginger and whatever else pickled. The crispy rice was great, I wanted more. For the star, the short rib...fork tender. Amazing flavor. This dish is served in a bowl and it's cool for me because I literally could get a bite of everything at once. It was amazing. Everything was very fresh. I'd go back. We also got there before 5 and there was no wait which was great for an early date. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for something new.“

“Food was average at best. Out of everything including a cook. Actually closed the kitchen for about 30 minutes because cook was at end of shift and no one there to replace him. They are listed as a Priority Pass discounted restaurant and when asked, they looked at me like I was crazy. No clue.“

“What a spectacular find! We are out of towners and made a reservation about a week in advance so it was easy to get a spot and we were seated right away. The food is next level and so are the drinks. We shared a tomato and steak tartare for appetizer that was 10/10. I had the Beef Swellington and my wife had the lamb with dumplings. Both were 11/10. Dessert was unbelievable too. The only 'but' is that, being new to the area, the neighborhood felt a bit sketchy and we had to park a couple of blocks away. It's ignorant bias, I'm sure, and we felt perfectly safe. It's just that it did not feel like it was on a super curated touristy area. We'll be back for sure. Many times.“

“This place is so incredibly creative. It was a great choice for a group of 5. Everyone one found something they wanted.

The waffle options were so amazing. I had the berry crunch waffle with a tater tot waffle. And the combo of sweet and savory were so perfect together. Their cold brew was really great.

“A sheer delight! Every single detail was a fresh surprise. The chef, hosts, cooks, and servers were fabulously attentive. The decor was completely custom and provided a fresh ocean-side vibe. The atmosphere was calm and sophisticated. But the food! What an amazing menu! The flavors, textures, presentation, and quality of the food were elegant, creative, and delicious! I will plan to go back often! Our friends were offered amazing wine and champaign pairings. We enjoyed 6 courses including tune ceviche, braised tuna and sea weed, scallops atop a corn/salmon patty, flounder with a crab sauce served on succotash, mushroom ravioli with hanger steak, and pannetoni with pineapple and mint.“

-To me it's an intimate venue as you are close to the stage.
-They do have a bar on both levels.
-Parking can be tricky. Suggest arriving early to secure a good parking spot around the area.

I also tried the iced tea, which was really good. The seating on the deck had a stunning view, and the waiters were very nice. They came out & were completely raw. She apologize immensely & the manager came out to speak with me & apologized. He ended up taking it off my bill which was very nice of him. By the time they brought out my recooked plate, i was already full off of bread & water. I ended up eating one lamb chop which was indeed scrumptious. I boxed the rest of my food to enjoy at home. “One of the best college dining halls in the country. They have wide variety, fresh foods made to order, and the price is extremely fair. When I went they had stations for paninis, tacos, poke bowls, and burgers. There is a full salad bar, extensive selection of drinks including slushies, fresh juices, milks, tea, coffee, soda, etc. My favorite of this dining hall is the dessert bar, there are always many options that are delicious such as cupcakes, pies, cookies, cakes, etc. as well as an ice cream station.“

“Alternative name for this place: Grumpy Dudes Amazing Breakfast . The waiter (owner?) was super grumpy (maybe he had a bad day) to the point of it being comical. But the eggs and potatoes were truly amazing in a home cooked style. We would go back for sure and hope that the guy is still as grumpy. :-)“
