Not your average fast food barbecue, this is the real thing... good, tasty, and the best smoked flavor! Right across from the airport, easy to get to..... Will be back often!”

“I have been a patron of this establishment for over 30 years and in all that time I have never been asked to pay a gratuity fee. I have had birthday parties , baby showers and rehearsal dinner. I realize there was six in my party. Paying by two different checks. The owner whom my kids played with growing up tells me its on the menu that the its up to the server degression to use it or not. You know where it is on the menu???? All the way down at the bottom paste the food items. In smaller print. Sad to say I will no longer be a customer here thanks to the sever Miranda”

“My local bistro and honestly nothing beats it. Always slammed for a reason but food is made fresh to order. The service is great. Huge ice cream selection and the best milkshake to be found on this side of town. Prices are reasonable. Good portion sizes. If in the mood for an all American meal (subs burgers fries etc) this is your place.”

“We ate at the Mechanicsville location on our way home from out of state. I always order a chimichanga every time I have Mexican, which is often. I ordered one today with ground beef. When it was brought out to me it looked like a taquito ( a 1/3 of the size). A manager came over and was not happy when I told him that. He said that was their normal size chimi’s. To top it all off when I took my first bite It was shredded beef instead of ground beef. I put do NOT RECOMMEND and do not know what happened and now I cannot change it!!!!!!’”

“This was my first time staying at this hotel, and despite its proximity to the airport, is very quiet inside and out. The room I had was impeccably clean, comfortable, with everything in sound working order. The room furnishings were great, and I really liked the bedside connectively, including conventional power outlets and USB ports on both sides of the bed. I did place an order at the Bistro, the in-house restaurant. And the food I ordered was excellent. The location is nice enough, and within walking distances to several restaurants. However, the only parking lot entrances are the two street sides ones off of Williamsburg Road, and there isn't one that is off the road that leads to a couple other hotels. It would be nice if there was. It's just a minor quibble though. As for the hotel staff, they were courteous and helpful. Overall, I was impressed with the hotel, and can see myself staying here again in the future.”

“This is a decent burger king. Sometimes they run out of items and you may have to wait but by the airport most restaurants are busy at certain times anyway. but honestly the people are nice and they try to get you out. My numbers are overall for good times and bad.”

“Well researched food, solidly composed cocktails, and a warm interior make The Roosevelt one of the most talked about restaurants in RVA currently. Chef Leah is as much a researcher as she is a good chef. Being a long time food writer who has been on assignment in many kitchens, its no surprise to me that Leah has carved out a reputation for herself in Richmond recently. She sources a lot from local farmers, adheres often to seasonal common sense, and takes inspiration from her reading and research on Soul Food, Southern food, and Virginia food. I wouldn't classify prices at The Roosevelt as cheap but also wouldn't classify them as extravagant either. Marketed by many as a "neighborhood spot" I always see The Roosevelt as a great date night spot, particularly for those who might fancy themselves foodies. Congrats to Leah and The Roosevelt on their recent James Beard nod. In my opinion, well deserved.”

“I have been twice now and both times the food was great. The view is outside is gorgeous btw. Now as for the food the menu is a variety of dishes themed from different parts of the world. It honestly doesn’t matter what you get it’s going to be delicious. If it’s on the menu when you go I highly recommend the Georgian flatbread, the bao buns, the chorreadas, or the cachapas!”

I placed a large order just 30 minutes before closing—four chicken sandwiches, a 20-piece chicken tender meal, and their amazing honey biscuits—and everything was fresh, hot, and made to order. The chicken sandwiches were perfectly crispy and flavorful, and the tenders were juicy with a golden crunch. The seafood pasta was not only bountiful with fresh catches from the sea but the homemade pasta and sauce were divine. We were blessed that the chef came to the table to introduce himself; and although soft spoken, you could tell the pride he took in his craft. Highly recommend this new restaurant!
