“Modern day CHEERS! BEST bar in the DMV! AMAZING PLACE! GREAT vibe/bands/staff/food/bar/service, and the most warm and welcoming staff and "regulars"! Remember the show "CHEERS"? Rename it Pete's! "Where everybody knows your name and they're always glad you came." Just add terrific live music, great acoustics, and the best dance floor around! Truly impressive across the board - friendly, welcoming and FUN. Pete, Kelly and their team are true professionals; they love their work and make sure everyone feels welcome. Pete personally goes from table to table - when he's not joining the band/playing guitar! Kelly is wonderful, kind, warm, and consistently books the BEST bands around. Bartender Bo is indeed "super cool" and funny. Servers Mario and Andrea are helpful, attentive, efficient, and keep everyone very well-fed. Chef Pete (different one) regularly impresses with tasty appetizers, entrees, salads (Greek is a fave), desserts, and more. More than worth a visit - keep going back! I'm proud to be a regular (OK - groupie/super-fan) and my nights at Pete's are true weekend highlights. Look, I live in Old Town Alexandria, VA, where there are some of the best Italian restaurants on the East Coast but those restaurants do not compare to my Maggiano’s. I seriously have to drive out of my way, Springfield, to get the Best Italian on the East Coast. It’s worth every second. The cuisine inside this Maggiano’s tastes exactly like my Italian grandparent’s cooked it. I frequent this restaurant at least once or twice a week. “I had the Vampire Taco which was simply delicious, and a great twist on the regular taco. The rice and beans were not spicy as advertised that go with it. The server was very attentive and gave a great overview of the various fishes on the menu. I will definitely dine there again.“

“An excellent dining experience from the moment we walked in to the moment we left. Beautiful decor, stylish but comfortable seating, and just good vibes all round.

All of the food was amazing and so creative, especially the beet tartare which had this vegan egg yolk that looked and tasted like a real egg yolk! The mocktails were really fun too.

Only downside is that it’s pricey for the amount of food you get, but if you’re looking for a more refined dining experience with great atmosphere and delicious food you should definitely consider this place.“

“I’ve visited Captain Gregory’s three times over the past three years and it is by far the best speakeasy experience in the DC area! The drinks are fantastic - delicious and true works of art. The service is impeccable and the vibe is perfect for a romantic date night or nice relaxing chat with a friend. The quality far exceeds the speakeasies and cocktail bars I’ve visited in DC, which often charge a higher price. If I lived closer, I’d be here all the time. 100/10 would recommend!“

“We absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Hive! The room was smaller than a regular hotel (just as advertised) but was so cute and still the perfect size for two people even for a five night stay. The hotel itself is clean and in a great location for walking to all of the DC attractions. The area surrounding the hotel (including the parking deck) seemed very safe, even late in the evenings. We had a “buzz” room and still felt that our room was very quiet, especially to be in a city. The front desk staff were always extremely friendly and happy to help. We were overcharged by the parking deck one night and the staff kindly fixed it immediately. We would definitely recommend Hotel Hive to anyone looking for a place to stay in DC!“

The atmosphere was so inviting, and the food was incredible. Our waiter, Hamen, was a standout; her smile and eloquent explanations of the dishes added a special touch to our meal. She served us with passion and showed no signs of tiredness despite the extremely busy situation. This is an experience you barely find in many restaurants. Birndo is a must-visit.
