“If you're at IAD & hungry for a meal - hot, fast, satisfying - find Chef Geoff's by gate C14. Although it was packed when we came through, host was a hawk watching tables & we were sat quickly. Table cleaned thoroughly, drinks & dinner orders taken efficiently but with no sense of rushing. Food was hot, tasty, & generous. Would never know this was an airport restaurant, wish it was in my neighborhood.“

“I just finished an absolutely fantastic meal with my family and felt compelled to share our experience. This restaurant is a true hidden gem, delivering phenomenal food that caters to diverse tastes.
We started with the falafel, and they were perfect—crispy on the outside, moist and flavorful inside, easily some of the best I've had. The beef shawarma was equally impressive; the meat was tender, perfectly spiced, and served with delicious accompaniments.
What really surprised us, in the best way possible, was the Philly cheesesteak. It was authentic, loaded with thinly sliced beef, melted cheese, and fresh ingredients. It might sound like an unusual item for the menu, but they absolutely nailed it!
The staff were welcoming, the service was prompt, and the atmosphere was great for a family dinner. Whether you're craving authentic Middle Eastern cuisine or a classic American sandwich done right, this place delivers on all fronts. We will definitely be back!“

“Overall, the food was good, but there were a few areas that could have been better. The duck was very different from what we expected. We initially thought it would be a whole duck served with lavender, but it arrived as just two slices per person. While I appreciate the time and effort that goes into preparing the dish, I think the menu should provide a clearer description of what guests will actually receive. The flavor was also quite strong, even for someone who enjoys duck.

The service was less attentive than expected, and since we were celebrating a birthday, we were hoping for a little more acknowledgment. The restaurant did provide a birthday card, which was a nice gesture, but there was nothing else special for the occasion.

On the positive side, I really enjoyed the salad and the side dishes we ordered. Overall, it was a good dining experience, but the food presentation, service, and birthday experience could have been better.“

“This is for the Silver Diner in Chantilly,VA. We live a little over 2 hours away but stopped here for dinner after car shopping and we were not disappointed! My husband and son both had milkshakes and burgers and I got the meatloaf. Classic diner menu but really elevated and creative. “I've been going to the Silver Diner in Reston for over 15 years. Food is always good, new items added to menu seasonally, staff are real folks who are easy to talk with and joke with as well. You get a sense of "family" when you are there as staff and customers interact. Servers are fun people and make your day. Today was Rubia's day and she is special. Come out and see for yourself.“

“Long post ahead, warning! I walked in around 9 pm and the hostess didn't bat an eye at my dining alone, and didn't say anything about it, which I appreciate. I was seated right away with no problems and immediately got a chance to look over the menu. I will admit, it took a little bit longer than expected for my waiter to come over, but as a lone diner I sort of expected that. I looked like I was waiting for someone, I'm sure. The look and feel of the place was very upscale, but they didn't have any problems with me walking in wearing a nerdy t-shirt. I was seated in this cute little booth for 2 with curtains on the side so, if I wanted a more private dinner, I could have it. It was a cute touch! The restaurant also offered patio dining and since it's by the creek, that would have been a downright charming experience were it not the usual Maryland summer. Despite having a bar, the restaurant was respectably quiet and low-key, making it an easy dining experience. I wasn't in the mood for something wild, and this place really hit the nail on the head. My first waiter Kevin, however, was the picture of polite helpfulness. He answered all of my questions, made some wonderful suggestions, and was incredibly pleasant to talk to. I was delighted to find out that this place takes part in DC restaurant week, so I was able to take part in that promotion. Under a suggestion from Kevin, I ordered a glass of their moscato (I wanted something light and sweet), and the wine was so good I brought home a whole bottle. Not really on them, but it does reflect their excellent selection. Dinner itself was delicious. The red pepper soup was refreshing and flavorful, without being too filling. The steak I ordered was cooked to perfection and was flavored in the perfect way to make the actual flavor of the meat shine. The potatoes were both light and fluffy, but also had the little chunks of potato that I prefer in my mashed. The best part was desert. About halfway through my appetizer, Kevin introduced my other waiter, Maddy, who took over after he went home. She was as much of a delight as he was, and made possibly the best recommendation of the night. Desert was this blackberry tart that I did not have room for but could not put down. Gooey and crumbly all at once, with a warm center that was almost caramel-y even though it was fruit based. Topped with a light cream to balance it all out, it was absolutely delicious. I will be thinking of that tart all day tomorrow. The prices on the menu were a little high, but I wouldn't go so far to say they were unreasonable. If I had wanted a cheaper option, I could have gone to any chain restaurant ever. In the grand scheme of downtown Frederick, with it's many small businesses and one of a kind dining experiences, I think this was reasonable. For reference, a lot of meals were between $20 and $30, but a good steak is almost always $30+. Despite the price, I had an exceptional dining experience, and would 100% recommend this place to anyone looking for upscale dining, without the upscale requirements.“

I genuinely wish the restaurant offered online reservations through a platform such as OpenTable. Being able to reserve a table ahead of time would make an already great restaurant significantly more convenient.

And that’s really the only reason I’m giving Ashburn Pub four stars instead of five.

The staff? Five stars.
The drinks? Five stars.
The food? Five stars.
The prices? Five stars.
The seating availability? That’s where the extra star gets lost.

Ashburn Pub has everything you want from a great neighborhood establishment: excellent food, fantastic drinks, genuinely friendly service, and prices that won’t leave you wondering whether you accidentally paid for the building.

Four stars from me—but if they ever add more seating or implement a reliable reservation system, this would easily be a five-star experience.

Until then, plan ahead and be prepared to compete with the rest of Ashburn for a table or a seat at the bar if you’re especially lucky that day.“

“Looking for Bottle of Red-wine and found this restaurant very close to our residence. Went up to the shop had a look at the wine display took one bottle each of red-wine Spain and Italian, the lady on the counter very polite and helpful answered sone questions and took for billing. They do have variety of meat and meat products. Can have done beer or soft drinks with food there itself. It a great place to visit. Amble space for free parking, pricing reasonable. We were looking for some venison meat, not readily available they tired to organise from a supplier, since our qty was not matching couldn’t make it.“

“The Wine'ing Butcher is a favorite neighborhood spot for my husband and me! Their marinated steak is SO GOOD! And their chicken salad is even better, one of the best chicken salads I have had. And honestly I have never really had anything bad!

We recently enjoyed a wine tasting at their store that included some tasty bites from their kitchen and really enjoyed it! Very much looking forward to future events like that.

We also learned about their catering capabilities which may come in handy in the future!

In particular, Lindsey, our server was beyond fantastic, warm, friendly & positive energy (we will continue to request her as a server every time we visit). Also want to recognize chef Alex, who came to our table to personally ensure that our special dietary needs were not only accommodated, but went above and beyond to create a spectacular dining experience. Lindsey, our server, was equally as energetic, warm, wonderful, and remembered our order from our prior visit even! We’re never disappointed when visiting this restaurant. They treat us like special guests each time Lindsey, our server remembers our order without even having to have a menu. Also, wanted to give highest compliments to Heisey, hostess, who greeted us with the warmest welcome when we came in and already had our table reserved and set up. Taylor, supervisor, was unbelievably kind and visited our table twice to ensure our dining experience was wonderful. Again, cannot say enough great things about the staff and overall experience!
