“Excellent service, beautiful setting, food was wonderful!“

“Food tasted good and service was great! My party said the oysters and tacos very good! The reason for not giving 5 stars is because almost every dish involves a spicy element. I wish there was a variety of sauces you could substitute if you can’t have spicy food. Like a heat and non heat option.

For example. I thought I was safe ordering steak frites with homemade steak sauce (considering that I’ve never had a steak sauce that was spicy) the steak was cooked to order but the steak sauce surprisingly had a lot of heat. If you like spicy food this is your place, if you don’t then you might want to avoid.“

“You can't ask for a more beautiful atmosphere. The service is excellent and the scene is relaxed. We were disappointed in the mussels because they tasted too fishy and weren't that appealing. Other than that it was a delightful experience.“

“My husband and I spent a wonderful weekend at the Hope & Glory! The accommodations were beautiful and charming. We especially loved the flowers in the garden. The Inn was quiet and peaceful. The pool was perfect. We were walking distance to shops and restaurants. The staff is incredible and we could tell they put a lot of heart into making sure their guests have a welcoming and special stay. They make you feel right at home. We will spread the word and sure hope to be back again! Thank you!!“

“We have been to the store four or five times. Nothing exciting about the outside or inside of the store, but excellent fish and shellfish. The staff are very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. The staff cuts steaks from larger pieces of fish to.meet your needs.
We are hoping they are open year round.
We will be going back.“

Every single bite and sip was on point. But what truly sets this place apart is the people. The owner and staff are absolutely wonderful — warm, welcoming, and the kind of folks who make you feel like a regular from the moment you walk in. If you're in Urbanna and haven't been here yet, you're missing out. This gem is the heart of the town. Can't wait to come back!“

“Have had several meals here now (Goat Curry, Crab cake & Softshell Crab Sandwich, Seafood Platter) and all have been exceptional. Craige is an amazing chef! Unique flavors that are just delicious.“

“We love Sandpiper restaurant. The atmosphere, menu and staff are wonderful and knowledgeable. We enjoyed dinner there on a super busy night. My husband ordered the rib eye with sautéed shrimp and the steak was cooked to the perfect ordered temperature and the price was wonderful for all he received (salad, steak, shirmp and asparagus, $55 ish). I ordered what was listed on the menu as the Sanpiper Jumbo Lump crabcakes. They were fine but definitely not jumbo lump. Backfin crabmeat at best. My mistake was only asking if the crabmeat was fresh and not specifically asking if it was indeed jumbo lump. The filler was flavored nicely. Will definitely eat here again but will just order differently.“

“It has a nice feeling of a small town cafe. The servers were great and the food was good. We come down every year for the Urbana Oyster Fest and always try to get at least one or two meals there over the 4 days we are here.“
