“Some of the best Ethiopian food that I have had, and I am a Chef and have frequented many Ethiopian restaurants in DC as well.
I ordered the veggie combo and each dish was layered with the perfect amount of spice, heat and salt. The injera was light and fluffy with the familiar tang of a good fermentation. I also ordered a glass of Tej (honey wine) expecting a store bought bottle but was pleasantly surprised with a house made 6 month old wine that was slightly effervescent with a balanced sweetness that went perfectly with the food.
I told the server how great the food was and the Chef personally came out to thank me and talk to me about how she prepares the food and even answered questions I had about how to prepare there Shiro wot(which was excellent) and where to buy the spices for it. Both the Chef and the server were kind and treated me so warmly I felt like family.
If you are in the mood for authentic Ethiopian food, please give this place a try, I promise that you will be pleasantly surprised!“

“I’m going to post the same review I gave on Yelp - this is a 5 Star place! After a day in DC, my family decided to try Soul Thai on our way home. What a terrific Experience. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was some of the best Thai we have ever had. The Pad Thai was amazing. The Hang Over Noodles (Drunken Noodles) was exceptional. And the red curry was by far the best I’ve had in the area. The ambiance was quite pleasant as well. Initially we were sat in an area that was a little noisy for our taste, but they graciously moved us to a much quieter section. The owner, Nancy came over after our meal and was very appreciative of our comments on the meal. She shared with us that she personally picks the freshest ingredients she can find to ensure the quality of the food. I would highly recommend Soul Thai to everyone. We will be coming back soon. “I thought I had booked the omakase experience, but realized I accidentally selected the wrong option, which was disappointing at first. The staff explained they prepare omakase for a set number of guests, so they couldn’t accommodate us last-minute.
That said, the manager and his staff, our wonderful server completely turned the experience around with their kindness. They comped part of our meal, brought out desserts for my husband’s birthday, and even treated me to a mocktail. It was such a thoughtful gesture and made the night feel really special.

The service was warm and attentive, and we still had an amazing time. I’ve already booked omakase for next week and can’t wait to come back!

From the time I make reservations through walking through the front door of the restaurant, the service, the managers, the chef, the food, to serving the BEST ITALIAN CUISINE SINCE ITALY, and cleanliness in the restrooms. Look, I live in Old Town Alexandria, VA, where there are some of the best Italian restaurants on the East Coast but those restaurants do not compare to my Maggiano’s. I seriously have to drive out of my way, Springfield, to get the Best Italian on the East Coast. It’s worth every second. The cuisine inside this Maggiano’s tastes exactly like my Italian grandparent’s cooked it. I frequent this restaurant at least once or twice a week. “Just moved to the Falls Church area and this is hands down one of the best restaurants we’ve tried so far. The atmosphere is super chill, the food from Chef Malik is phenomenal and the scotch, whiskey, and bourbon selection is orgasmic.

My husband and I are sitting at bar patrons and everyone from the moment we arrived was friendly, welcoming and helpful. From Chef Malik taking time to talk the menu and how he’s designed it to Johnny behind the bar who walked us through cocktail options, everyone was just chill and super fun to be around.

We tried their Scotch Egg that was amazing, traditional but with a perfect heat level that took it over the top for us. The fish and chips are one of the best I’ve had in the DC area (only thing that would make it perfect is a side of mushy peas) and my husband who has the pallet of a toddler ordered chicken tenders and a side of fries, and both were outstanding. For dessert I did the tiramisu and my hubby had the house made bread pudding and both were delicious.

It doesn’t take much to be a successful restaurant: good service, solid cocktails. and great food, and MacMilan has all in spades.

Can’t wait to come back as a soon to be regular and to bring friends and family when in town visiting.“

Got the short rib which was excellent as were the pomme puree with it. Inside was very nice and had a good selection on the menu. Almost got the pasta but glad I did not. Think a lot of the entrees were in the 25-35 range though of course more expensive stuff. It was crowded but not very loud, which was good. Solid winner, and wishing the owner the best, he seems to know about this as well as Human Misery (his words).“

Since I was dining by myself, I was seated at the bar on the first floor--which I don't mind as it provided me a nice view of the yakitori station. I visited on a Friday evening so it was a little busy, but since I was on the first floor the atmosphere was calmer compared to the second floor. Jack was the only server on the first floor but he was prompt with my orders as well as the other customers on the floor. I ordered the grilled large intestines/daechang with a side order of kimchi as well as a light lychee martini. I've had daechang before, but I gotta say the daechang over here just tops it. They're marinated in this addicting sauce and the intestines were grilled perfectly. That chewiness and greasiness I normally get from eating just one piece of daechang from anywhere else, I surprisingly did not get after eating a few pieces here. I definitely would go again and try out their other menu items, especially their yakitori!“

We got a mix of street tacos that contained twice the meat compared to street tacos in comparable restaurants in the area. The hostess/waitress was very pleasant. The restaurant and bathrooms were spotless. We will definitely be back!“
