“Had read some mixed reviews but we gave it a shot and we were greatly impressed! We called ahead for our party of 10 and they had our reservations ready and accommodated us nicely. The service was excellent and the food was fantastic. Our party ranged from age 14 to 55, some loved Thai and some had never tried it. There was something for everyone to enjoy on the menu. Plus, it was very reasonably priced. We had a large party and it didn't break the bank, as they say. Great food and comradery was had by all! I don't normally write reviews, but again, I was impressed. Definitely recommend!“

“New Sushi/Ramen restaurant that my wife and I have been to at least 5 times in the last 2 weeks. The food and service is incredible and the prices are very reasonable. We love the fried tuna, avocado, and cream cheese roll, shoyu ramen, and their bento boxes. Everything we try tastes so fresh and flavorful! Can’t wait to keep sampling more of their menu.“

“I’m going to post the same review I gave on Yelp - this is a 5 Star place! After a day in DC, my family decided to try Soul Thai on our way home. What a terrific Experience. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was some of the best Thai we have ever had. The Pad Thai was amazing. The Hang Over Noodles (Drunken Noodles) was exceptional. And the red curry was by far the best I’ve had in the area. The ambiance was quite pleasant as well. Initially we were sat in an area that was a little noisy for our taste, but they graciously moved us to a much quieter section. The owner, Nancy came over after our meal and was very appreciative of our comments on the meal. She shared with us that she personally picks the freshest ingredients she can find to ensure the quality of the food. I would highly recommend Soul Thai to everyone. We will be coming back soon. The food is good and well priced.

I had a green curry and it had a good amount of chicken and was tasty.

The crab fried rice had a great flame grilled taste and left a great fun sensation in the mouth. It was also surprisingly affordable at 22$

Gluten is not labeled on the menu but the staff is knowledgeable and accommodating.

The menu does say it accommodates vegetarians as fish sauce can be taken out of any dish.“

“Decided to try mae ornnit with my sister based on the strong reviews they have. Our server provided excellent, attentive service from start to finish. Mixed reviews on the food: Papaya salad was a downer. Lacks that nice flavor with fish sauce and papaya slices were sliced a bit too thick. Tom kha gai and chicken wonton soups were a winner. Lovely coconut milk flavor for tom kha soup. Fried tofu was pretty decent. The sweet and sour sauce for crispy flounder rocked, but I was expecting a slightly fresher flounder than what we had. Overall a pretty nice experience and we may return if we pass by the area again.“

Both dishes were delicious and more than enough in portion. Service was fast and friendly. Would definitely eat here again and recommended dining for anyone looking for a Thai fix. Being that I am half Laos I love the laos papaya salad here because a lot of thai Resturant try to do laos papaya salad and it just don’t taste the same . The chef is actually laos . “Coincidentally found this place and it is now my favorite Thai place in NoVa! I will definitely be back to try more. We got Nam Khao tod, Mango sticky rice and a Thai tea. I got to practice my Thai. I learned that the owners are from Isaan close to where I was while in Thailand last year. The menu is kept simple and shows pictures for anyone unaware of the Thai food names. The Nam khao looks and tastes authentic. The Thai tea is strong. Both the mango and sticky rice are good proportions for the cost ($9). I forgot to say we were taking it to-go until they were setting it up on a tray and the lady owner easily packed up the food with no hesitation.“

We know because we used to go to Happy Thai all the time but since the owner change it wasn’t the same. Through luck we learned that the owner family actually owned this restaurant first!
