“We frequent Embassy Suites in Virginia Beach often since they opened, and we always make several visits to Article’s Bar and Grill. The only reason this post isn’t a 1star review is because of Christian and Tripp both went above and beyond with their customer service. They were kind, attentive, and genuinely friendly. They are a true asset behind the bar and know how to make guests feel welcome. Unfortunately, we did have a very awkward and unpleasant encounter with another bartender (Lori) on two separate visits. We weren’t the only ones who noticed, her attitude came across as rude and unhappy to be there, which made customers uncomfortable. The first time, we let it go because everyone can have an off day. But the second time, her energy was even worse. I did bring it up to a manager on site, and I truly hope it gets addressed because that type of experience can easily drive customers away. Aside from that, the wings were delicious, and the drinks that Christian and Tripp prepared were great. Until next time—we’re hoping for a better experience overall.”

The watermelon gazpacho amuse-bouche was a sweet start to the meal, followed by Oysters on the Half shell (a personal favorite), and the appetizer special of Peach Burrata salad was lovely. The true star, however, had to be the Black Sea Bass, which was butterflied and grilled, served over rice and vegetables. The sauce had a gentle smokiness to it that built to a perfect lingering flavor that complimented the gentle grilling style extremely well! I was lucky to be one of the first privileged to try it. Crème brûlée for dessert was the perfect completion to the meal. We left feeling very happy, and VERY full! Thank you to your incredible team, who take such wonderful care of us, as well as every customer dining tonight, and every night. Hats off to Heirloom!”

“First time here. All the staff greeted with a smile and was so nice. We got the Jerk egg rolls, chicken Philly egg rolls and the parmesan chicken eggrolls to eat some there and take with us. I was a little hesitant to get the Parmesan chicken rolls but I have to say they were my favorite. Oh and we got the Mac and cheese stuffed wings and they were delicious as well. They have authentic Italian food that has so much flavor and there is nothing like it! I highly recommend Aldo’s for fine dining and just an overall fabulous experience!”

I usually go out of my way to go to this location. No other BK in the area can do better.

“Came up to the window and ordered a quarter pounder, large fries, and a pup cup for my dog. So he says that they will make something. So I go to the window to pay and they see Aurora and take my card. I asked if the pup cup was on there and she said they had something different. So now me and Aurora go to pick up our food. So I grabbed the bag with the quarter pounder and fries and she gives me another bag. So I look and see chocolate chip cookies. I went to turn back and tell her that she wouldn't be able to eat them and in her hand she had a cup of whip cream just for Aurora! I feel bad for not having much time to thank them and when I looked back at the recipe it only had the fries and burger. I found it really sweet that they gave us free cookies and a pup cup. Aurora really enjoyed her pup cup and we look forward to coming back soon!”

Hubs had the salmon Benedict with hash which he thoroughly enjoyed along with a Spicy Margarita, yum! Today's special was red, white & blue pancakes with a side so l ordered that with homemade hash as my side, probably the best hash l've had! The pancakes were on point with the white chocolate chips & fresh blueberries inside and fresh strawberries on top! I would definitely order the same dish again, perfection! The bloody Mary's & mimosas were $5 & tasty! Our server & bar tender, Kat H. was very helpful & kind! We certainly want to go back! Happy Hour 3-6pm, closed Mondays,on Sundays they close at 3pm.”

Being from New York, I’m very skeptical when it comes to pizza, but this is the closest that I have found in New York Pizza! Their portions are so large, we always get 2 to 3 meals out of any pasta dish we ordered & the staff is super friendly. Everything that we have tried is so good from even the bacon cheese fries to the mozzarella sticks to the chicken Parmesan, the pizza, all of it. I highly recommend going here. Their location is small and they’re busy so don’t go in a rush and be patient, it’s worth any wait.”

She’d been before, last summer, and had been talking for almost that long about the Greek Burger. We made a trip over for dinner on Monday night—and went back for lunch on Tuesday. Everything was good—from the atmosphere and very professional wait staff, to the hummus, stuffed grape leaves (some of the best I’ve ever had) served with real tzatziki, the burgers, the bread, the tabouli salad, the lamb, the beef shwarma wrap…absolutely 4 star experiences! “The Mission BBQ in Dubuque, IA has the most awesome staff of ANY restaurant I’ve ever been in. I didn’t get the name of our cashier, but she checked back several times and checked for us if there are any plans to put one in Omaha, NE (unfortunately, not yet). Mission BBQ is my favorite place to eat anyhow. I go out of my way to eat there when we’re remotely close (this one is the closest and it’s 5 hours away. The food is great, the staff is friendly and it’s clean. My younger son left his Eagle Scout and Sea Scout Quartermaster patches for the on in Roanoke, VA and they sent him a really nice thank you letter. Five 20-something females were gathered around the hostess stand chatting and finally acknowledged us, only to dismiss us with a proposed 15+minute wait because of "reservations." I defy anyone to find "reservations" on the website, FB, etc. for this restaurant on Pleasure House Road. The unfriendly attitude surprised me as VB is a tourist town and not just down on the strip. Because we had another engagement, we opted for dinner service at the bar; which is a bit too tall for comfort. The bartender was busy and we waited. We were finally able to order and had very good crab cakes and seafood Alfredo (a little watery). The surprise was the succotash ; which I would never ordinarily eat because lima beans are a hard NO. This succotash was made with edamame; very creative and tasty. Throughout the meal we watched several tables remain empty and the group of girls continue to cluster at the hostess stand. Management might want to eliminate some payroll overages. One last thing was a slovenly and surly looking young man with more hair hanging in his face than seemed hygienic; so glad he didn't serve us! As the start to our date night this was not a great success, but we had a good meal. This restaurant is recommended with "reservation".”

An unexpected gem after spending a little time at Chick‘s Beach with the family… Was not expecting the excellence we got from the moment we walked in. The staff was quick to greet, and very friendly. The atmosphere was really lovely, nice low, but perfectly sufficient lighting, a lovely patio with hanging lights and the back of the restaurant overlooks the water and a lovely little walking bridge, beautiful stonework bar, with a superb whiskey selection, though I was in the mood for beer last night… Our server, Natalie, was incredibly warm and helpful, offered to let me to taste some of the beer on tap, which led to me purchasing a pint of one of the most deliciously creamy raspberry wheat beers I’ve ever had. She recommended the pizza rustica, and I, as a chef of 13 years, was skeptical that it would be as good as it was, but yet again, perfection. There was literally nothing wrong, I tried a bite of each of my family members’ food as well because I do that... It was all excellent, the “avocado and IPA bacon grilled cheese” my daughter ordered was my second favorite after the pizza. Just a fantastic spot. Worth a trip out to Virginia Beach for dinner from anywhere else in Hampton Rose, even without a prerequisite beach trip.”

Now the food, INCREDIBLE!! My God, everything our party ordered was delicious!! We sat for the longest just talking about how good our food was. Our waitress, please forgive me. I don't remember her name but she was so sweet and amazing. During dinner the owner came to meet us and congratulated us as well as guests, staff and the manager were so kind. We were even offered a bottled of Moet by a couple at the bar. We don't drink so we politely declined but the offer alone was a perfect representation of the culture and love that permeates this establishment. Our Jimmy G's experience was the perfect end to the most beautiful and special day of our life. While no Mexican restaurant does that here on the East Coast, you won't believe how good the food is at the Shore Drive, Tequila Jalisco. (Don't waste your time going to the other Tequila Jalisco's as it all depends on the chief.) The best chilies relleno I've ever eaten and each one of their steak dishes are unbelievably tasty, or go for the fajitas or one of their big fat burritos and be sure to treat yourself to their home made guacamole with chunks of avocado, all with a well made margarita. It took me a long time to find a decent Mexican restaurant here in Virginia Beach, but I've now found a home with friendly servers and a warm atmosphere. Life can be so good...”

“This is my new favorite restaurant in Virginia Beach. Food is so flavorful with a lot of healthy options, with a broad assortment on appetizers. Their mushroom and goat cheese pizza was on point! We also ordered the Mediterranean Nachos, and they were phenomenal. We went to celebrate a birthday and got a sweet birthday card and free dessert. The service was exceptional. And the waterfront view is spectacular. I can't wait to go back.”

“My family and I were on vacation looking for some pizza. Came across this place and so glad we did. The food and service were fantastic. Got to love a restaurant when a general manager comes by checking on your table. She even gave my 4 years her own pink apron to wear why eating pizza. My daughter’s pizza was huge and cook just right for a kid, not over done and a little chewy. Our pizza was out of this world. The pepperoni and sausage were so tasty. The wood fire oven gives the pizza this awesome crust. You can’t go wrong trying anything at this place. Soooo good.”

“My husband and I went yesterday to celebrate our 19th marriage anniversary, and were highly impressed with everything from the moment we walked in. We loved sitting at the curved booth too! Our server Larry was the best! He made sure my drinks were just the way I wanted… And they don’t short you alcohol- just saying! Lol, my husband has a higher tolerance than I and mentioned it. My husband got the whole fried red snapper while I created my own little sampler out of entrees. They were the oxtail empanadas, crab cake sliders and salmon bites. It was all scrumptious! I tried my husband’s red snapper and one of his shrimp- YESSSSS!! 🤤😋🙂↕️ I even made sure to bring even the sauces home with my little bit of left-overs. Looking forward to Father’s Day brunch next month. I’ve already made reservations. 🙂↕️ Thank you to all of the staff, even to the ones we didn’t meet who made our experience that much better.”

“Heirloom is always a delight, and tonight, as we celebrated our wedding anniversary, was no exception! The watermelon gazpacho amuse-bouche was a sweet start to the meal, followed by Oysters on the Half shell (a personal favorite), and the appetizer special of Peach Burrata salad was lovely. The true star, however, had to be the Black Sea Bass, which was butterflied and grilled, served over rice and vegetables. The sauce had a gentle smokiness to it that built to a perfect lingering flavor that complimented the gentle grilling style extremely well! I was lucky to be one of the first privileged to try it. Crème brûlée for dessert was the perfect completion to the meal. We left feeling very happy, and VERY full! Thank you to your incredible team, who take such wonderful care of us, as well as every customer dining tonight, and every night. Hats off to Heirloom!”
