“Park Lane on Fordham Drive in Virginia Beach is a great place for drinks, dinner, parties, meeting friends. I have been a frequent patron of Park Lane at this location for a very long time and at least twice a week. I spoke with manager Jim this evening and complimented him on the way the restaurant and bar is run. The restaurant is well kept and attended to. The wait staff and bar tenders are super efficient, well versed with knowledge of the product and food there. They are fast and very efficient, and honestly all of them have great work ethic and have a wonderful sense of humor. They make you feel like a part of their family and are very professional. They really get to know you (especially if you’re a regular customer), and that’s why it’s such a pleasure to frequent the restaurant. We laugh and kid around with each other and the atmosphere really is light, lively, fun and all around pleasurable. The kitchen staff prepare and present the dishes with absolute care and appeal…. and the food is delicious! I haven’t been disappointed once! The orders come out of the kitchen with care and they are very prompt. The analogy that I would say about this particular restaurant is that “it’s a well-oiled machine”, as it’s run with precision, it’s very efficient, and everyone works well with each other, and honestly they all seem so happy! It’s a wonderful place and I recommend it very highly. You won’t be disappointed, and I might add that the prices are very reasonable. Thanks to Jim, Justin and all the managers at this location, and a great BIG thank you to the wait staff, bar tenders, cooks, kitchen staff, janitors, clean up crews for an outstanding job well done! You ALL really go above and beyond expectations and other like establishments should take a lesson from you all. I was a little hesitant to get the Parmesan chicken rolls but I have to say they were my favorite. Oh and we got the Mac and cheese stuffed wings and they were delicious as well. The watermelon gazpacho amuse-bouche was a sweet start to the meal, followed by Oysters on the Half shell (a personal favorite), and the appetizer special of Peach Burrata salad was lovely. The true star, however, had to be the Black Sea Bass, which was butterflied and grilled, served over rice and vegetables. The sauce had a gentle smokiness to it that built to a perfect lingering flavor that complimented the gentle grilling style extremely well! I was lucky to be one of the first privileged to try it. Crème brûlée for dessert was the perfect completion to the meal. We left feeling very happy, and VERY full! Thank you to your incredible team, who take such wonderful care of us, as well as every customer dining tonight, and every night. Hats off to Heirloom!”

“Aldo’s is my absolute favorite restaurant! I am a very picky eater. My husband, (boyfriend at the time) , took me to Aldo’s on one of our first dates in 1990. If he was trying to impress me..it worked! Jim, the owner, has been there since the beginning and he is amazing! He has treated us like gold for 34 years now! He has sent wine and dessert over on our anniversary, compliments of the restaurant! He always asks us how everything was and of course, it’s always perfect! I have never had an issue. The atmosphere is incredible, very romantic and relaxing. There is live piano and the wait staff are top notch. Jim only hires the best! They have authentic Italian food that has so much flavor and there is nothing like it! I highly recommend Aldo’s for fine dining and just an overall fabulous experience!”

Not only did they help to correct MY mistake but one of the owners even offered to drive the food to me himself. These two establishments are run and owned by the most hardworking and thoughtful men you will ever meet. You can see it in the way they treat the staff as family. The delicious foods that are curated so perfectly..my favorites are the scotch eggs, gnocchi- flavor for days, my goodness the french toast, the calamari!!! Honestly, I haven't had a meal there that wasn't good. The inside of each restaurant that they created with help from their own families are inviting and cozy. The perfect places for brunch or dinner. If you haven't ate at Rustic Spoon yet you're missing out. 💖”

Today's special was red, white & blue pancakes with a side so l ordered that with homemade hash as my side, probably the best hash l've had! The pancakes were on point with the white chocolate chips & fresh blueberries inside and fresh strawberries on top! I would definitely order the same dish again, perfection! The bloody Mary's & mimosas were $5 & tasty! Our server & bar tender, Kat H. was very helpful & kind! We certainly want to go back! Happy Hour 3-6pm, closed Mondays,on Sundays they close at 3pm.”

So I go to the window to pay and they see Aurora and take my card. I asked if the pup cup was on there and she said they had something different. So now me and Aurora go to pick up our food. So I grabbed the bag with the quarter pounder and fries and she gives me another bag. So I look and see chocolate chip cookies. I went to turn back and tell her that she wouldn't be able to eat them and in her hand she had a cup of whip cream just for Aurora! I feel bad for not having much time to thank them and when I looked back at the recipe it only had the fries and burger. I found it really sweet that they gave us free cookies and a pup cup. Aurora really enjoyed her pup cup and we look forward to coming back soon!”

Being from New York, I’m very skeptical when it comes to pizza, but this is the closest that I have found in New York Pizza! Their portions are so large, we always get 2 to 3 meals out of any pasta dish we ordered & the staff is super friendly. Everything that we have tried is so good from even the bacon cheese fries to the mozzarella sticks to the chicken Parmesan, the pizza, all of it. I highly recommend going here. Their location is small and they’re busy so don’t go in a rush and be patient, it’s worth any wait.”

My daughter’s pizza was huge and cook just right for a kid, not over done and a little chewy. Our pizza was out of this world. The pepperoni and sausage were so tasty. The wood fire oven gives the pizza this awesome crust. You can’t go wrong trying anything at this place. Soooo good.”

I didn’t get the name of our cashier, but she checked back several times and checked for us if there are any plans to put one in Omaha, NE (unfortunately, not yet). Mission BBQ is my favorite place to eat anyhow. I go out of my way to eat there when we’re remotely close (this one is the closest and it’s 5 hours away. The food is great, the staff is friendly and it’s clean. My younger son left his Eagle Scout and Sea Scout Quartermaster patches for the on in Roanoke, VA and they sent him a really nice thank you letter. If you’re a First Responder or military, I especially recommend stopping, but anyone who likes really good BBQ! (The red velvet cake is awesome too!)”

These two establishments are run and owned by the most hardworking and thoughtful men you will ever meet. You can see it in the way they treat the staff as family. Our server Larry was the best! He made sure my drinks were just the way I wanted… And they don’t short you alcohol- just saying! Lol, my husband has a higher tolerance than I and mentioned it. My husband got the whole fried red snapper while I created my own little sampler out of entrees. They were the oxtail empanadas, crab cake sliders and salmon bites. It was all scrumptious! I tried my husband’s red snapper and one of his shrimp- YESSSSS!! 🤤😋🙂↕️ I even made sure to bring even the sauces home with my little bit of left-overs. If you can’t find something on this menu to order, there is something wrong with you. They have everything from pizza, burgers and fries, to seafood, steak and chicken. I had the poutine which was amazing! I also tried the bone marrow and oysters. The bone marrow was superb! Bloody Marys are on point and the raw oysters were divine. The Country breakfast (cheese grits, 2 eggs, apple smoked bacon, fried green tomatoes and sourdough toast with butter) was packed with so much flavor that no additional seasoning was needed. First time I have ever had grits at a restaurant that did not need salt. My only disappointment was that I was too full for dessert. Hopefully I get back this way again someday. My props to the chef/owner! Service (Emily) was excellent and the atmosphere was great (we sat outside on the patio). This place is in a very unassuming location in a little strip mall so I hope that no one overlooks it because of the location. Visit 1608 Crafthouse for the food and/or brunch, you will not be disappointed.”

“Ok, so I would recommend this restaurant but not on a Saturday night and reservations won't help if they're busy. So here's how it went...we arrived dressed up last night Sat. March 29th at 6:30 for a 6:45 reservation and were told they didn't have any tables and we had to wait. The wait was about 30 minutes and during that time we got a chance to listen to the hostesses talk bad about another employee which was at the least unprofessional when they should have been working considering how busy it was and at the most mean girl behavior. So we get to our table and our server comes over, she doesn't tell us her name and nothing about the specials or the menu and we told her it was our first time so there was no effort to help us understand the menu or upsell anything. Moving on we figure out what we want and proceed to wait a solid 20 min for her to come back with our drinks which each had 7 cubes of ice. I guess they were low on ice because my man's sweet tea was hot tea lol. He ordered the ribeye med rare with bone marrow, broccoli, sauteed onions and mushrooms, a loaded baked potato with extra sour cream and I ordered the prime rib med rare with a loaded baked potato, spinach, and sauteed onions. My man asked for a salad and it took 22 min. At this point I am timing everything because our server is struggling. After that time the bread and salad come but our drinks are almost empty so we decide to just wait to mention it to her when the food comes out. The food did not come for 32 min. Finally, the manager comes over to ask what we ordered so he can go find our food. This is where the lies start. Why did our server come out of the kitchen with towels on the plate saying hot, hot, hot and the food and plates were cold?? Lol. I didn't have my spinach or the extra sour cream we asked for. We had a side bar and decided to just eat because we were hungry and had already waited so long. Side note, I don't think our server is well liked because I noticed the other servers helping each other and managers delivering hot food to tables but no one was helping our server and she was drowning. Not sure about that but that's what I observed and I had plenty of time to pay attention. Ok so we also get our drinks refilled and I eventually get my spinach. The food was good. It was cold but the flavor was good. We ate a little and decided we would take it to go and heat it back up at home. The manager comes back over and asks about our experience and we tell him everything you just read. He was nice and apologetic. He offered a free chocolate cake dessert which we accepted. The 20% gratuity was included in the bill which we are used to and is normally not a problem but we were admittedly disappointed with our experience. The bill was $209 including the $30 gratuity. We paid and made our way out. In the end, whoever our server was, we never found out her name, made $30 for poor service and honestly I think that's why she didn't try harder because the tip was guaranteed but it was our anniversary and my man is a generous tipper and would have happily tipped even more for a good experience because in the end that's all that matters to him. The experience and my happiness. Neither expectation was met. Overall I would recommend this place but go during the week. A little clarity, our server was pretty, very short with an accent, not sure where she's from and dark hair. She may need a little more training or some assistance on busy nights and she could make much more than the 20%.”

I'm from the West Coast and lived on the best Mexican food available where the ladies made corn tortillas by hand in front of you. While no Mexican restaurant does that here on the East Coast, you won't believe how good the food is at the Shore Drive, Tequila Jalisco. (Don't waste your time going to the other Tequila Jalisco's as it all depends on the chief.) The best chilies relleno I've ever eaten and each one of their steak dishes are unbelievably tasty, or go for the fajitas or one of their big fat burritos and be sure to treat yourself to their home made guacamole with chunks of avocado, all with a well made margarita. It took me a long time to find a decent Mexican restaurant here in Virginia Beach, but I've now found a home with friendly servers and a warm atmosphere. Life can be so good...”

“We made reservations(easily) for a 6:30 Anniversary dinner specifically on a Thursday night to take advantage of the "SPECIAL", 2 16oz king cut prime ribs W/roasted asparagus and potatoes au gratin casserole, a bottle of wine(our choices were shiraz or rose), and a dessert(our choices were KEY LIME PIE, CARROT CAKE, LEMON BLUEBERRY TIRAMISU, BROWNIE SUNDAY, or RED VELVET CAKE)........all for $70! The service from Janine and Jeff was fast, friendly and knowledgeable and the food!*+ perfection from "Goose" in the kitchen. After dinner, my wife and I spoke with GM Korey Johnson and got a tour of the facilities where we were further impressed with the cigar lounge and the VIP room. Needless to say, we'll be back again and again and I suggest the same for all of YOU that rely on the customer reviews as we do!! TY”

“This is my new favorite restaurant in Virginia Beach. Food is so flavorful with a lot of healthy options, with a broad assortment on appetizers. Their mushroom and goat cheese pizza was on point! We also ordered the Mediterranean Nachos, and they were phenomenal. We went to celebrate a birthday and got a sweet birthday card and free dessert. The service was exceptional. And the waterfront view is spectacular. I can't wait to go back.”

“Heirloom is always a delight, and tonight, as we celebrated our wedding anniversary, was no exception! The watermelon gazpacho amuse-bouche was a sweet start to the meal, followed by Oysters on the Half shell (a personal favorite), and the appetizer special of Peach Burrata salad was lovely. The true star, however, had to be the Black Sea Bass, which was butterflied and grilled, served over rice and vegetables. The sauce had a gentle smokiness to it that built to a perfect lingering flavor that complimented the gentle grilling style extremely well! I was lucky to be one of the first privileged to try it. Crème brûlée for dessert was the perfect completion to the meal. We left feeling very happy, and VERY full! Thank you to your incredible team, who take such wonderful care of us, as well as every customer dining tonight, and every night. Hats off to Heirloom!”
