Variety of menu options and the resultant food are wonderful and we enjoyed each meal we had there on our recent trip; as we always do. “The whole family enjoyed an excellent meal tonight start to finish. Service was friendly and quick. The setting was beautiful. Salads were fresh and flavorful. Had the kalette appetizer which the whole table enjoyed. Entrees were fantastic! I had the rib eye. One son had the steak au poivre; another had haddock with heirloom tomatoes, and my husband had the pork chops. We all agreed it was a perfect meal. We ended the meal with wonderful desserts - maple creme brulee, marscapone cheesecake, banana bread pudding, and ice cream with a praline topping. Just the right size and sweetness to finish this wonderful meal. We hope to be back soon.“

“I lived just up the road from 3 Squares for a few years. I went in for iced coffee nearly every day. No matter how busy it was, I was always greeted with a smile and felt like I was part of the 3 Squares family! “I'm basing my stars on Ice Cream only. They have amazing maple soft serve using real maple syrup & if maple isn't your thing, their other soft serve flavors are just as amazingly creamy. And on top of good ice cream it's also cheap. That's called a win win folks.“

“Food is a little boring. Offerings and preparation are just too plain, simple. Since food is the most important thing to me for eating out, the overall rating was therefore effected. The service, people could not be better. On the other hand, this is a place for people whose prime reason to be there is to have a bite after playing a round or two of golf. And, in that way, the menu certainly serves the purpose. I would like to see it move into a primary restaurant attraction....s.“

“I've been going to Middlebury bagel and deli for decades now. I've never had a bad meal, and as someone allergic to corn, I really appreciate that the bagels are all made traditionally without corn meal. I honestly think these bagels and donuts are the best in VT. They are certainly the best I've ever had in New England.“

The setting alone is world class, set out into one of the largest lakes in north america, looking out at the green mountains. The food and drinks are consistently wonderful. The restaurant has that classic, comfortable pub-style feel. I had a reservation, got seated quickly, and the night started off smooth.

The food was good overall. The calamari was a strong appetizer, but the standout for me was definitely the Thumbs & Toes with blue cheese and maple BBQ sauce. That was a 10/10. The Chicken Parmesan was solid too, with the chicken being stronger than the pasta.

What really elevated the experience was the service. Big shoutout to Caroline. She was pleasant, attentive, checked in several times, and made the meal feel comfortable from start to finish.
