“A wonderful place to stop and grab a quick snack or meal from the extensive menu. The prices are reasonable, especially with the amount of food that you'll get. The food is standard snack bar fare, but it is hot, fast and delicious. The service is great! The staff is friendly, and patient as you peruse the huge menu and is happy to give advice. They are super family friendly, and there are quite a few picnic tables so you can enjoy your food while comfortable.“

“Really happy with the first visit to Jericho Cafe and Tavern. The place has a really great vibe and the staff was super welcoming and friendly. We started with some tasty chicken wings and our dinners arrived quickly and were also very good. It was a weeknight, so we didn't get a chance to hear any of the live music but it looked like it would have been a ton of fun. Would definitely return!“

“Food made me giggle it was so good. Super friendly and helpful staff. Restaurant was clean and inviting. Overall amazing expereince.*First time eating Filipino cuisine.Ordered Vegetable Lumpia to start. Didn't totally blow my mind but it was tasty, I liked the crunch on the outside and the Atchara (the sauce on the side, a pickled papaya) was a refreshing balance. For the meals we shared the Bicol Express and Tapsilog.I tasted the Bicol Express (deep fried pork stew in a coconut milk, shrimp paste and aromatic spices, orderd with white rice) first and was absolutely blown away. I don't normally like shrimp because of the texture but this was excellent because it had the fresh taste of shrimp without the texture, and then it had the sweetness of the coconut and a little kick to it. The pork was perfectly crispy which went well with the wet stew.BUT THEN I TRIED THE TAPSILOG (sweet-salty peppery beef, crunchy garlic rice, and a runny fried egg) And oh damn... immediately made me laugh I was so happy. The beef was tangy, garlicky, rich, addicting. Then the fried egg dripped into the amazingly garlicky rice. The most beautiful flavors blending into one.My friend took the Bicol leftovers but you couldn't pry the Tapsilog leftovers from my posession if you tried.“

Nice variety of dinner options as well as cocktails. I ordered the beef short ribs and was not disappointed! A hearty meal on a rainy day. We barley saved room for dessert and got the tiramisu, which we did not regret! It was delicious! Go check it out, you won't be disappointed!“

This coffee shop has a nice vibe, good bakery items and a short lunch / breakfast menu for a sit in or on the go item.I think the lunch menu this past week had a turkey sandwich, soup and huge focaccia pizza slices.A delicious maple vanilla was spilt and their iced mocha was even made with cocoa nibs. ?“

Junction American • $$$
70 Essex Way, Essex Junction - 3.99 miles

“Super-fun experience at the culinary experience at the Essex Resort in Essex, VT. Our instructor, Denise, led us through the recipes and techniques to create a wonderful Vermont dinner that included roasted root vegetables, braised chicken (in dark beer and demi-glacé) with shallots and a variety of mushrooms, and a lovely kale salad. We were given the opportunity to decorate autumn themed sugar cookies as well as dip tiny apples into a luscious caramel coating. A small group of 9 students made the experience very intimate. Our meal was served with wine and fresh bread accompanied by an herbed compound butter. Denise was a perfect instructor and I would recommend the experience to anyone who loves to cook.“

Had it been on my fridge, I'd have thrown it out.The service was slow, but good. If that makes since...The steak, the reason I went there, was actually very good. Mashed potatoes also. And of course the rolls... so good. I would go again with lower expectations and no salad...“

“Stopped late last Friday. The bartender was awesome. She matched our groups energy and was fun to exchange banter with. Ordered a pizza while my friends tried wings and appetizers. The pizza was called the round barn I think and it was amazing. Food came out quick and although I didn't try the apps or wings, my group loved them. Beer was cold and prices were reasonable. Glad we discovered this spot. Will definitely be back! Thanks again to the bartender! You made the visit even better!“

“Firebird Cafe is awesome. I’ve been here a handful of times and it’s always delicious and the vibe is great. We were there yesterday morning before the solar Eclipse. The town was crazy with so many people traveling through and the restaurant was very busy. It was clear that everyone was hustling and working hard to get customers their orders. The staff still took the time to be kind and chit chat with us for a moment despite how busy they were.Unfortunately, they had to deal with a severly verbally abusive customer from NY that was screaming at the entire staff that his order was put on the wrong table for a brief moment. It was quite frightening, and the staff handled it with patience. It was clear that the young child he was with was extremely distraught and upset, and other people waiting in line were concerned for her welfare as well. Had we been thinking faster, we would have called the police. It was clear they were doing their best to serve the massive line of tourists that flooded the town this past weekend. I would definitely recommend them as they are professional, friendly, and always have great food!“

“My husband and I absolutely loved this place. It's St. Patricks Day, so we tried the ruben egg rolls, I fell in love with them. He had the Philly and onion rings, and I had the American burger. Itwas the best burger I have ever had while eating out 10/0. It was huge! My husband said his Philly was a 10/10 also. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the staff was amazing. Our food was extremely fast getting to the table. We are not from Vermont, but we come several times a year. And this will now be our go-to place to eat.“

“Our new favorite! Our son was diagnosed with Celiac this year and we were hesitant to eat out. Jules has been wonderful for our whole family (mom, dad, 5 year old and 18 months old). It is a little quieter atmosphere which made me nervous the first time we went but the staff and other patrons have always been so kind and welcoming to our kiddos and small amount of chaos they bring. The gluten free menu, including kids menu is excellent and the staff is knowledgeable. The desserts are a highlight (we are fans of the gluten free carrot cake). It has been terrific to go out as a family and have equal options for everyone, thank you!Dietary restrictions: Great Gluten Free options, knowledgeable about the restrictions and cross contamination risksKid-friendliness: So kind, last time we wrote letters to Santa and they had a special mailbox, well about a week later Santa had written back. My son was thrilled!“

“very nice!!! food was hot, fresh, affordable and more than enough. coming from someone with a big appetite i left full. the band was excellent!!! dirty looks band, if you haven’t already definetly check them out!!!! come early as this place gets packed . seemed geared more to my generation ( the 40-50 year olds). sadly i’m feeling old these days and struggle a bit with becoming easily overwhelmed with big crowds and loud noises but i wanted to try it at least once. if you love the bar scene this place is a must try. they also have a very large dance floor. i highly suggest giving this place a shot.Parking: looks like if you arrive early enough there’s plenty of parking but highly suggest getting there early. also couldn’t find it on the food drop down list but my son and i each ordered the chicken tender baskets. cost less than thirty all together and was hot, fresh, plenty and excellent!!!“

“Went Sunday for dinner around 7:30. We were a larger party, so we had hoped there would be room for us. Quite the opposite. There were maybe two other groups, other than that the restaurant was empty. When we showed up they almost turned us down because they were short staffed. Thankfully they let us in. When it came time to order, they were completely out of multiple items, most of which were going to be ordered by us. That was very disappointing. But we got the food. The food was good, what you expect at the 99. The atmosphere wasn’t the greatest, felt like we weren’t wanted there. Was a bit odd that the restaurant was so so empty.“
