“We stopped by Ondis for an early dinner during our road trip. The servers greeted us with warmth and very welcoming attitude. The food was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! I had shrimp ceviche tacos and my mom had the Halibut. Rich flavor profile, great taste and fantastic combination of freshness!
We usually don't get dessert after dinner, but we wanted to make an exception and give the dessert a try since we enjoyed the food so much. Definitely a great decision we made! I had homemade pistachio ice cream and mom had vanilla. We LOVED it!
I would love to see if I could get that ice cream in our cities too!!! Can you franchise that pleaseeee? :)
Montpelier is not a common route for us, but I will make sure to come back to Ondis to have more of that taste!”

“Every time I've been, the menu has been almost entirely different and I've ordered a wide sampling from the menu. I've test to have a single bite of food that wasn't thoughtful, intentional, perfectly prepared, and delicious. The bar program is also fantastic, as is the service. I cannot recommend this spot highly enough!”

“Absolutely wonderful service and amazing food. I ordered online for delivery and there was an accidental switch to my order and I got the wrong one, they didn’t hesitate to make it right and they even brought it to me at no extra charge. The food tasted incredible. Wonderful customer service and I’ll be back!”

“Best coffee shop in Vermont. The staff is amazing and so helpful. We happily patronize Capitol Grounds weekly because of the quality coffee, chai tea lattes, and breakfast sandwiches.”

“Listen, I know it's a pho spot, and you won't be disappointed if you get Pho, but you need to order the Kim Special. It's the spicy beef and pork noodle soup with the addition of seafood. This thing during winter clears all sinuses, fills all tummies, and packs an ungodly amount of flavor.

The staff is also incredible here - during my visit, it was a team of two (Kim & Hien) serving more than 20 seats and doing so with a smile on their face.

Reservations recommended for groups of 5 or more though I saw them accommodate this on the spot.”

“This is a beautiful spot by the winooski river, we ate on the outside porch with a view of the river, even saw a mother Robin feeding its young in a nest in the rafters. I had linguine pescatore which was delicious, my partner had scampi e cape sante also delicious but unfortunately both meals were light on the scallops hers had 1, also I have to wonder why some sort of bread wouldn’t be served with these dishes. I did mention to staff after and they offered to compensate which I turned down but was made sure I would be treated next time we’re in the area The staff here are great and service was quick, definitely a place to go”

“What a gem of a spot! Easily the tastiest pizza in town! A higher price point than other places in town and worth every extra cent. The person who greeted and helped us was so welcoming and helpful. They also made a very tasty drink! we got our food to go, but ended up hanging out to play the Godzilla pinball machine in back. Woodbelly was incredibly inviting and has such great atmosphere, friendly hardworking staff, and absolutely amazing pizza!”

“I have eaten there and it's been good food and good service however its the polar opposite for take out. The food present differently. it looks differently. it takes differentn the portions are way smaller. I usually can't make it through ther large Ceasar salad especially if I add a protein. it's presented well on a large plate. lots of grated cheese. I ordered the same tonight. I don't know what that was. It was nothing special, certainly not worth rhe price. not what their Salads are known. I could have gotten a better salad anywhere else very diisappointed ted for all that money you expect top notch food and that's wasn't it. plus I had to call back and complain. my son ordered a chicken bbque bacon sandwich with looked good and included fries however there were like 5 fries no joke. wtf. so we will be getting a voucher for free fries. I'm not sure what's happening back there. but these are basic elementary mistakes. I expect more from JMorgans. maybe the new owerns don't have the same heart as the previous owners did. I'm literally still hungry That will be rhe last time we get take out from JMorgans!”

“Let me ahare my experience …..the other day I went to Applebees only to find out they do not offer any gluten free foods that I consider truely gluten free so I left and told them I guess I’ll go to THE WAYSIDE., Which I did and had a excellent gluten free meal and they even offered a gluten free pecan pie which was delicious. Thank you Wayside glad that you are so accommodating.”

“We were compelled to visit while walking by based on the delicious aromas coming from the bakery. It is located inside an old home in Montpelier. So many choices. We had the cheese twist, with cream cheese and a hint of lemon. Amazing!”

“I had lunch with a friend yesterday and was very impressed. The Buddah bowl was delicious! I also tried Dandelion tea for the first time. It tasted surprisingly like coffee in a very good way. They have an great variety of other teas if you want to try something new. The atmosphere is relaxing and quiet. We sat in a cozy room in the back overlooking the Winooski river. I will definitely be returning!”

“Don’t sleep on Indian-Nepali Kitchen— best Indian food in Vermont! The dishes are packed with so much flavor, the portions are generous, and the owners are super friendly! We jump at the opportunity to stop in and try something new every time we are in Montpelier. On one of our visits, my partner wanted a beer, and the owner let him try an imported Indian ale from his own stock. So good! Grab take out, or even better drop in and get the full experience!!”

“We were in a bind when our lunch catering fell through at the last minute. Thankfully Noah at the Yellow Mustard Deli helped us out. They were able to cater to our needs and our group's dietary restrictions. Everyone enjoyed the sandwiches. Fairly priced. Would recommend.”

“Really solid eatery with a ton of choices featuring lunch and daily specials.

Came in during the weekend with a party of four and sat immediately. Waitress gave my party an option of a table or booth without prompting.

Beverage options include full bar service with specialty cocktails, Coke products, and even some delicious Maine Root Rootbeer.

We started of with some guac and chips even getting to choose how many avocados used (for portion size).

I tried the chimichanga blanco special that was featured and was very delicious. Not a heavy fried feel to it with layers of spice and textures in every bite. The blanco cheese wasn't just your run-of-the-mill canned/jarred cheese sauce you'd pick up from the store. It was obviously handcrafted and seasoned and really sent the whole dish to the next level.

One of the party members ordered the shrimp street tacos (3) and they said it's practically what they always order because it's soooo good.

Another party members ordered the fajitas and while you expect the traditional fare on a heated skillet, but the kitchen didn't take that as a challenge and super heat the cast iron skillet hotter than the sun. So the accompanying veggies weren't burnt and cinders still retaining a nice snap and crunch without diminishing the intended flavors.

The last party members really struggled to choose after seeing so many tempting dishes on the menu and went for the Julio's Special. Featuring a bean burrito, cheese enchilada,enchiladas, ground beef crunchy corn taco, with a choice of beans. It did not disappoint and really a great offering giving you a taste of the varied offerings here at Julio's.

The service was wonderful and really some of the best cantina/Americanized Mexican food that I've had the pleasure to enjoy. I can't wait to make my way back time and time again to try everything Julio's had to offer.”

“Chill spot, major dive bar vibes. No live music at the time we were there but I wonder how they fit in there when they are. Very friendly and attentive bartender, nice patrons and pool tables if there's interest. Just watch your back if at the bar, you may get cued if you're too close. Prices are decent for Montpelier with at least one option that's a $3 draft. Will return if invited again.”
