“I came for dinner with a party of eight adults to celebrate my birthday. This was not my first time dining at Smoke & Cedar, but it was by far the top-tier dining experience I’ve ever had. Not only is the restaurant a beautiful place to celebrate, but the staff went above and beyond to make my night one I’ll remember for years. They spared no expense or detail for my guests and me. Chef Joel rolled out a fantastic dinner, starting with amuse-bouches and appetizers, followed by perfectly prepared steaks for everyone. The entire meal was outstanding, and the service made us feel both special and welcomed. Smoke & Cedar truly exceeded my expectations and created a celebration I’ll never forget. We arrived just as the sun was setting and the view of Mount Rainier and the lights from the community were amazing! we checked in and were led to a beautiful table with rose petals beautifully located on the tabletop. Along with that was a beautiful card expressing the perfect words about how we should feel about this perfect Date Night! WHAT A WAY TO START! Our waitress was everything you could ask for; warm, friendly and willing to help with any fine tuning we asked for to make our evening perfect! We shared a glass of wine and then ordered the suggested "House 3 Course dinner. (Either paired with the perfect wine or not, leaving you up to your own choice!) I can't say enough about the quality and quantity of the food at what I felt was a reasonable price for such a beautiful place. Our first course was a beautifully done Cesare salad! The next was the steak entre' with veggies. Mine was excellent, my husband's needed a little bit of attention but was corrected in no time with no hassle. The third course was a great dessert - Perfect to say the least. Don't hesitate to take your special someone to this place, you will not regret it!!!”

“I was there to day and a man went in to the women's bathroom with a bunch of kids in there and I called him out of the bathroom and the manger and security protected him and said I was in the wrong and that he could us the bathroom. there was a family bathroom he could have used. this dave in buster is messed up in it's believe and anyone who supports this is messed up to. there was a women who took her son in to the family bathroom and he was five. this is how it should be. no MAN SHOULDN'T GO IN TO THE GIRLS BATHROOM PERIOD. “Favorite place to eat. Would recommend going during a less busy time because when it's busy it seems the food isn't as good because they are rushing food out. Ex. I love the broccoli and chicken, but the broccoli has to be soft not hard. It's only hard when not cooked long enough..aka..rushing to go the buffet. But do love the food!”

“stopped by on a whim as I drove down west valley highway and I was very pleased with the service and food! ordered lumpia, crispy pork belly combo and a brown sugar boba and I was blown away! the crispy pork was beyond good! came with a Mac salad some diced veggies and a wonderfully flavored rice with green onion. the lumpia was freshly made and the boba complimented everything. 10/10 would recommend”

“I’ve been to a lot of ramen spots in Japan and Washington, ordered the spicy tonkotsu from here, it has a small kick, nice and creamy broth, and a generous portion of noodles. Made my top 3 ramen spots in Washington. Cute and decorative little spot it was also really nice that it wasn’t so loud in there. Definitely recommend trying this place out if you’re in the area.”

“Friendly service, food is great, plenty of selections; Korean, Chinese, and Japanese foods in one place. I had the spider roll and the Mongolian Beef. I didn’t order the combos on purpose but who knew the Japanese food and Chinese food complimented each other very well. Talking about a great service, my wife order the sesame balls for a dessert. 2 of 5 were a bit under cooked somehow. We broke them a part but didn’t eat them. One other staffs walked by and asked if we didn’t like. My wife told her those 2 seemed like they are not full cooked so we didn’t want to eat them but we are okayed. She then insisted that she asked the chef to make a fresh batch of 5 for us. This time they were perfectly cooked. I was impressed with her and felt very appreciative. I recommend this place if you like delicious food and something quick.”

“Came here post work out and I was impressed. I asked whether the torta was big and was rold no but it came with alot of meat and she wasnt lying. The torta was delicious the beans weren't refried which I appreciated. And it came with fresh sliced avocado it looked dlike I got half of one medium avocado.
My husband had yhe tacos and while he said the flavor was good the meat was a little dry. But the salsa made up for it. The hirchata was also delicious. It had the authentic powder remnants at the bottom only real home made horchata has. Will definitely visit again.”

“I cannot recommend this restaurant enough, this place is wonderful!!! The staff are super friendly, the food is out of this world, the atmosphere is crazy fun, and it's celiac safe with only a couple menu items that can't be made gluten free! They have video games to play, a small mini golf area, all kinds of toys, games, comic books, and a whole section for Pokémon cards. Even their prices are incredibly reasonable on everything they sell. We will definitely be back!”

“My friend introduced me to this place yesterday. I never thought in a million years I’d like dipping chips (homemade too) in garlic ranch dressing, but it was delicious. Their French Dip with au jus was scrumptious as well; almost as good as having one in NY. Also, they have awesome garlic fries, they use fresh minced garlic. They even make their mozzarella sticks from scratch. Thanks to my friend, I’ll definitely have to take my family here, yum! 🙉 We had an awesome waitress, very attentive. “Bought Glow Tea again this year. And it was the best bubble tea at the fair!
The tapioca pearls were perfect and chewy, the lychee was tasty, the passion fruit tea was perfectly sweet and even had the seeds!!!
They had a self order kiosk section that was super convenient and when you did interact with witht the employees it was short and sweet.
And they turned on the lights when they handed it out to make sure people saw the glow!!
They also had Boa Box and I'm so excited to order both again next year!
Please come to the fair every year from now on! Best drink and food we had at the fair and definitely telling anyone to go there (also cute inflatable)

2 years ago review---Bought the Passion fruit Glow tea at the Puyallup State Fair and was extremely disappointed.
The price of the smallest size option was nearly $20
It wasn't filled all the way, had no sugar at all, I did order both the boba and lychee toppings and didn't say if they were extra or not and it was still bitter.
Customer service wasn't rude but they definitely weren't happy to be there.
It's been a week now, and I did take home the cute little lightbulb they give you.

I figured that's why the name Glow tea, no in fact a week after the fair we realized there is a little switch on the bottom to turn on the lights and make it glow pretty colors, it's really bright too! Super cool, it would have been awesome to use it too had we known.

The novelty of it was cool, but I don't plan to buy again when it didn't take good at all.”

The sandwich is nice and toasted and the veggies are fresh. The Bahn mi prices are as of this date, the most affordable Bahn mi in this area. The service of the staff is great as well, they're are kind and efficient. The space inside is a little small, but they have countertop seating. Highly recommend trying it out!”

“I just discovered this Vietnamese restaurant in Auburn, Washington. It serves some of the best pho (noodles) around. I like the noodle texture, it’s perfectly cooked, and the broth is so flavorful. There’s a good balance of meat as well. We had two large bowls, and it was $14.95 per bowl. A decent portion for the price.

I would have given this place a five-star review, but for the following reasons.

1). When we went inside the restaurant, no one greeted us. I had to wave to the people in the back, and the grandma showed up. My wife and I were sitting at a dining table with a bench that seats up to four people. She brought us a menu and told us to sit at a smaller table with two chairs. The whole restaurant was vacant. There were no customers beside us, so we were a little puzzled by that.

2). After dropping off the menu, she never came back. I noticed six different customers come in and place an order with her at the counter. I was wondering about it and decided to take the menu to her and ask if I needed to order from her at the counter. That’s when she said, “yes, you order here.” So I placed my order with her, paid for it, and tipped her at the counter as well. I wish she had told me about it when she dropped off the menu. Maybe she told us in Vietnamese, but we didn’t understand it.

3). The restaurant is a bit crowded with plants, and they have the heat up pretty high to keep the plants alive. It was not while trying to enjoy a hot bowl of noodles.

I like the noodles. But about 45 minutes after we left, my wife threw up. Not sure what it was. I just noticed the noodles were a bit oily, that’s about it. Could be the fat ring in the bowl of soup.”

“We love Donut Star. My husband has been coming here for 30+ years. Really great quality donuts. The price is in line with other donuts shops. About $8 higher than grocery store donuts, but far superior to the donuts you get in the chain donuts shops. As of Feb. 26' it is $21.50 for a dozen your choice. If you let them pick it is $20 a dozen. Anyways, sometimes service has been straight up rude. It's a donuts shop so atmosphere... meh, I am not there to sit down and eat my donuts. Great location for donuts in Auburn.”

“I was craving tacos one morning and found Burritos California open 24 hours near my work. So glad I stopped by! The girl at the register had a big smile and a great attitude, super friendly and gave me awesome menu recommendations. Honestly, every employee here seem genuinely happy cooks.

The young team runs the place with passion, and their menu suggestions are always spot on. You can see the kitchen it’s clean, professional, and the whole restaurant smells clean and fresh.

The food comes out fast, fresh, and full of flavor. The portions are huge honestly the biggest burrito I’ve ever had! It’s rolled perfectly too! Nothing pops or spills out. Their avocado sauce is incredible (and always fresh because it runs out so fast!). Even the free sauce and pickle bar are spotless.

They remember you if you come often and treat you even better each time. This is one of those rare restaurants you can trust. We need to support local spots like this run by young passionate people and help them grow! 🌯🔥”

“This place has some of the best wine selections in the area. Who does not love Caymus by the glass? The staff is very friendly and a lot of fun to be around. They have Untappd which is amazing because I can see what beers they have on tap. You can hardly tell this place is in a grocery store! It feels like a nice bar to hang out with my friends and have a great beer or glass of wine.”

“This company is really great. When I checked in at the guard desk, they spoke very nicely and gave me the door number, telling me to check in at door 226. When I checked in there, they were also very polite. My appointment was supposed to be at 9 in the morning, and they gave me the door at 5 in the morning—They unloaded my truck within half an hour. such wonderful people.”

“The food is really good, the meat was tender and flavorful, and I think their green chile sauce is homemade and fresh. Staff is friendly too, they gave me extra of said homemade sauces and spoons. I'm absolutely going back again.

Also btw you can get a container of grilled onion for 2 bucks. I think that is something to note if you like grilled onion.”

“We lived in Laos for 7 years and love Lao food. This is by far the most authentic tasting Lao food that we have found. We especially like their nem khao, Lao style sausages, and their jeow mak lin is the only real-tasting Lao tomato salsa that I have ever found outside of Laos or my wife's kitchen. They have done amazing job with their flavors and indoor casual atmosphere (feels very modern Vientiane chic). They seem to have a hard time keeping their khao piak noodles on hand so if you really your khao piak fix, be sure to call ahead. I have now been to Sweet Rice 5 times and they have never had the khao piak noodles. If you want really good Lao food and can't get over there, you can get your fix at Sweet Rice!”

“Antojitos Michalisco is a fantastic little shop offering many flavors of sorbet and ice cream as well as many fruit based treats and classic Mexican street food favorites such as chicharron preparado, tostitlocos, elote, and esquites.

The staff are very friendly and happy to let you sample any of the flavors of sorbet and ice cream they have. They even have several flavors you aren't likely to find anywhere else.

There are tables and chairs to sit and enjoy your treats, and they have a TV playing movies or shows, which can be great for kids. When we visited last they were playing Despicable Me 3, which our kids loved to watch at they happily ate their ice cream.

They are very generous with their scoop sizes, and a single scoop there is the same size as a double scoop from other near by shops, for similar prices.

I highly recommend this shop.”

“I had a fried fish with rice. It came with salad, flat bread. I also ordered a juice.

The fried fish was great! It was a medium sized whole fish fried really well. The rice and salad was ok. The juice was good, too.

I am definitely coming back when I want fried fish. I gave four stars for the service instead of five because some simple things weren't explained. There was a beans sauce/soup that I wasn't sure how to eat. I think if the waiter explained what it is and how they eat it, the service would be better.”

Always enjoyed sitting in the bar, watching sports on the large TV’s Seahawks, Mariners or Sounders.\nI hope the management reads this, about 3 weeks ago stopped and ordered off the 2 for 1 price. I go in the back door and order, pointing to the menu. I get home and realize I was charged off the main menu for a lot more money. I’m embarrassed to admit that to my husband. \nYesterday I call ahead, order 2 salads and ask the price $23.??, great. I go in to pick up and get the young girl who is the expert on meals to go. She said would like to give $5.00, me thinking it’s a tip, I Say sure!\nI wait, it was 15 minutes later than I was told on the phone, that’s ok, I appreciate them. Then she hands me the machine to pay for food. Push Here! $39.00 and change. I say why so much, she says $23.00, no I say it says $39.00 she says “Oh that’s for a 20% tip, that she added. I said what was the $5. for? She gives me a long spiel, I hear for first time, about someone on bad times. By then I feel like, boy she’s slick!! I Say no tip, pay and leave. My mother was a waitress most of her life, I always give 20%, but what she is doing is wrong!! I’d love the manager to ask someone else to get takeout and see what happens. By the way, I tried to pay when I called the order in and was to told to pay when I come in? What if I couldn’t walk well, drive with right foot, bad knee on left leg? I’m sure management doesn’t want local customers unhappy twice.”
