I'll be honest... I accidentally took the wrong turn in Seattle and took the 520 toll bridge LOL!!! I thought, eh, I'm already going to Bellevue, let's get some matcha. I chose Café Joy as I knew there would be plentiful public library parking. FWIW, I used to work in Bellevue so I know all of the best parking areas

Anyway, I visited on a very sunny Saturday early afternoon. The doors were open, revealing an already pretty packed establishment. Albeit, ample room for some to study or catch up with a friend. The menu was filled with many eye-catching items. I noticed they had a corn latte, so I asked the worker if it was possible to do a that with matcha instead of coffee. He suggested I order a regular matcha latte (sweetened) and then he'd add corn cold foam. Good idea! He did a really great job making the drink-- the color itself was vibrant and the taste was refreshing... most importantly, not too sweet

I'd definitely recommend this place-- next time it won't be on the whim of taking the wrong exit LOL!!

I love that they offer a low sodium option for all the broths. Highly recommend the “just a little kick” and “picked veggies” broth flavor. “I've always noticed a line outside Taqueria Guadalajara whenever I drive by, so I decided to stop by with a coworker for lunch and see what the hype was about. We ordered 3 asada and 3 al pastor tacos, and I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious they were, especially for the Bellevue area.

Being originally from Southern California, I'm quite picky about my tacos, but these were as close as it gets to the ones back home. The salsa is sooo good, and the habanero one had a nice kick to it.

I'll definitely be back to try the rest of the menu. If you're in Bellevue and craving some authentic tacos, Taqueria Guadalajara is a must-visit!“

Breakfast sandwich was very high quality. Baked good we tried was good. I liked this place, just felt like they were trying to do a little too much. Showed up in decor, food and drink choices. “I've been going to this coffee shop for 3 years and they are my absolute favorite. Great drinks, great specials each month, fun decor, great staff.
Check out their Instagram for monthly special drink menus (coffee or redbull/lotus). You can also find current hours and holiday hours there.
Their caramel macchiato is less sweet than Starbucks. Their matcha is on the sweeter side for matcha and doesn't need additional syrup - it's great on its own but isn't too much if you do add syrup flavor. They will happily customize drinks for you including different milks or random syrups.

Only thing I don't recommend is the cold brew.“

Also Im from Canada so I didn’t have any messaging with my SIM card, but the way waiting here works is you need to get a text message to find out when your table is ready, but I couldn’t get messages on my phone so that was confusing…

“I'm sad that I can't leave a 6/5 star review. The food is amazing, but more importantly, the employees here must love their job so much. They're very caring and attentive. I'm gonna sit here and list everything they did to repay their kindness today.

. The lady triple checked with us and the chefs to make sure the food will be what we order. She was patient with us, went back and forth like 4 times to relay info, although the restaurant was packed.
. They asked if we wanted to move to a larger table although our group is small, because we ordered large dishes. They helped us move everything to the new table.
. Kept coming to pour wate21r and give us more napkins. At one point, we had so many napkins, I thought I would've been so rich had we been in COVID time still.
. Before they brought the cake out to us, they wiped clean every single inch of the table. I've been to places where they don't even take all the dirty dishes away.
. We didn't ask, but they briefly turned the lights close to our table off and gave us their own candles and lighter to use.

Be sure to arrive a bit early if going during dinner time and prepare to fight for a spot or two or circle around a few times. But honestly, once you taste the food, you’ll realize it’s more than worth the effort.“

We have been using nespresso original over 2 years and recently purchased the Vertue Next so we were not familiar with the new pod options. “​I recently visited here on a local friend’s recommendation, and it was a surprisingly delightful experience.
​The star of the show was undoubtedly the Sichuan Peppercorn Stone Pot Fish. I was initially worried about the fish having a lot of bones, but it was perfectly prepared, with no small bones at all. This allowed me to fully savor the authentic flavors of the soup—the fragrant, numbing spice of the peppercorns—without having to worry about picking out bones. It was a fantastic dining experience from start to finish.
​Beyond the signature dish, the Mapo Tofu also left a deep impression. The intense aroma and spicy kick were incredibly satisfying and made it an excellent pairing with a bowl of rice. The Spicy Fried Pork Intestine was another unexpected highlight. The pork intestine was perfectly fried to a crispy texture, which added a wonderful layer of crunch without any greasiness. The flavors of all the dishes were truly top-notch.
​The only minor letdown was the large table, which didn't have a lazy Susan, so we had to frequently switch dishes to let everyone try everything. I would highly recommend the restaurant consider adding a traditional Chinese round table with a lazy Susan to make the dining experience even more perfect.
​Overall, every dish at La Po Po was flawless, from the preparation to the flavors. It's a restaurant I would definitely visit again and highly recommend to anyone who loves spicy food.“
