“My family and I visited the cafe during a visit to Seattle last week, and we all LOVED our time there. The cats were all very friendly, the cafe was clean and charming, and the employees were kind and engaging. This was by far our favorite activity we did while in the city, and we could’ve easily spent several more hours playing with the kitties. Such a fun time!“

“We've used Lighthouse whole beans for many years now, using a Breville conical burr grinder. A great way to go! But could you say a few words about the 'big' grinder you use for your ground bags? How quickly should one be able to get through a ground bag to retain consistency?“

“This place is a gem. Not only is there coffee good, but the people that work there are top tier. They are trying to make your day just a little better by going the extra mile. In this world, such acts of kindness are rare and extremely needed! Thank you!“

“An oasis in the desert… I have monthly commutes to UW Medicine North from Bainbridge and have been looking for a place to stop when I’m early, or afterwards when I need something to get me home. Great vibes, super coffee and comfortable, clean seating. Yay!“

“This is my favorite coffee shop in Seattle. Coffee is delicious, staff is terrific and pastries are really good (not a big selection but good enough). I love the atmosphere here, feels very welcoming and I love the cozy ambiance. Highly recommend!“

“The coffee is awesome. I enjoyed the friendliness of the service. When I was there only one guy was running the counter and making drinks. He deserves a raise. My only negative and its honestly not a real issue but the atmosphere is very basic and could use a little color.“

“The service at Bequest Coffee Co is top notch! food is made in house and super fresh, Coffee is prepared to perfection. They have an amazing outdoor seating area (my fav). Next visit you should try one of their house made flavors in your Coffee and pair that with ANY panini. Small and local business that really care to deliver the best customer service!“

“I truly believe every neighborhood has a special place that turns the neighborhood from a location to a community. I found a Muddy Cup when I was lost, and it quickly became my haven, my bastion of community, and some days, the only place that felt like home.
I have met friends, lovers, enemies, and so so so many dogs.
The kind staff everyone speaks of are the owners. They run their business as ethically as humanly possible. They're there every single day of the week to provide you with the best damn coffee in the area. And when I say the area, I mean the pacific north west. I think the only technically superior coffee might be Beware coffee in Tacoma, but those dudes are huge coffee science nerds and in the delivery of technically perfect coffee, they lose a lot of the humanity A Muddy Cup provides.
Look, if you're still reading this: go. go to a Muddy Cup. it's quaint, it's kitschy, it's nothing at all like Starbucks, outside of the consistency of product. Except this product is chosen and roasted in house weekly and the people there actually care about your well being.
Order a match latte, it's not on the menu and it's the best I've ever had in my life.“

“This is my go-to coffee stand. I absolutely love the roast and that it's organic coffee as well. I can taste the difference. My go-to drink is the raspberry silk iced decaf with almond milk. It's so creamy and tasty.
Dietary restrictions: Lots of alternative options.
Kid-friendliness: Yes
Wheelchair accessibility: Yes as long as you have a car you're good to go.“

“Always love getting work done here in the afternoons and on weekends. Pastries are a bit pricey and options can be lean by the end of the day, but in the mornings there's generally a pretty big selection. I almost always get some sort of steamer (I'm not a coffee person) and they have a ton of different syrup flavors. If you want your drink or pastry "for here", you have to ask for it; to-go is their default, which can make a lot of waste.
My computer doesn't stay connected to their internet/wifi for some reason, but sitting inside gets a stronger connection. You can also usually find an outlet to plug into inside.
It's pretty low-volume inside with a little music and coffee-brewing noise. This is definitely a place where you could come to do work collaboratively. Their outdoor seating is my favorite, but they are located right next to some industrial buildings, one of which has a fan blowing nonstop. That can get loud -- fine for working with headphones, but hard for conversation.
Overall, a great study spot with pretty good drinks and nice ambience.“

“I like this restaurant and the food is delicious. It is very noisy and the owners should place some type of acoustic fabric on the ceiling to soften the noise.“

“There is something special about this place, I love the atmosphere, the place is quit, clean, the staff is super friendly. There are many food options. The location is perfect almost near everything. The coffee is not my favorite, but this is where I can only focus and finish my work peacefully.“

“I’m from Chicago and out here for work. I’ve never really been picky when it comes to coffee.. Starbucks? Gas station? Home brewed? Eh.. cups a cup.. today I stopped in Down Pour on my way to the job and I will forever be in search of a coffee like this back home. Best cup of coffee I’ve ever had.“

“Don't judge the book by its cover -- this place seems run down on the outside, but once you're inside it's the real deal. GREAT coffee. The baristas know what they are doing. If you're more of a tea person, their tea lattes are wonderful -- I had a chai latte and I'm so used to disappointing ones from most cafes. But this one was perfect, and actually "spiced" to perfection. One of the best I have had in town.
It's a very small space inside as well, but cozy. It can get crowded when busy, but its worth it even to just get your coffee to go and head somehwere else if you need to spread out. My new favorite cafe in the U district!“

“My wife and I came here for the first time years ago and it quickly became our favorite coffee shop in the area - we are now regulars! I recommend the sandwiches. They are unassuming on the menu - I assumed they were simple cold-case sandwiches, which I tend to avoid - but was so impressed when we tried them one day and discovered they're fresh-made, warmed and full of great ingredients, pestos and tomatoes and whatnot. I get the Med Chicken pretty regularly now. They also have a really great breakfast sandwich - I get sausage on a bagel with egg and cheddar, and it's really good. They use cafe Umbria, which is my favorite roaster, so that's a win for me. They make a great mocha, a great London fog, and the service is always good. Now that we have a little boy - who the owners love, and he loves them - we appreciate the lobby that's so easily accessible next door that he can run around in. The coffee shop itself is also very comfortable and always a relaxing place to sit and enjoy.“

“I just had their mocha, and a grilled cheese sandwich. I am a little bummed that none of their breakfast sandwiches are vegetarian, but that’s only a problem on Mondays. Service is a tad slow, so I wouldn’t suggest as a place to grab a coffee and go. The mocha was really yummy though. Next time I go, I might have to try their mudslide cold drink! 😋“
“I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PLACE!!!! I'm a regular and come pretty much everyday. All of the staff are so nice and amazing and if I could give them 10 stars I would!! Thank you Stephanie, Josh, Antion, Jaime, Maddie, Kristin, and all other staff! (Sorry if I left anyone out!) Literally my favorite coffee place! Love you all 🖤“

The owners are so friendly. They even have coffee and hot chocolate for cold pnw day. The location is perfect for families, it is sandwiched between a sandy beach and a playground.“

“Convenient and Cozy, but coffee was just okay
For me, Cafe Javasti is just a convenient spot, perfectly situated for a quick latte during my daily walks. Though, if it weren't for this proximity, I'm not sure I'd be a regular.
My experience so far has been limited to their latte, which I'd describe as perfectly adequate. It was fine, but didn't stand out as anything exceptional. It hit the spot, but didn't leave me craving more.
The service has been consistently friendly and efficient. The cafe always seems to have a bustling atmosphere, with many patrons enjoying their food and drinks, indicating a pleasant and inviting vibe. It's clear that Javasti is a popular neighborhood spot!
Ultimately, Cafe Javasti is a solid choice for a quick and convenient coffee stop. While the coffee itself wasn't spectacular, the friendly service and cozy atmosphere, combined with its unbeatable location, make me a reliable customer, though only for the occasional coffee.“

“I get the spicy tofu bahn mi regularly, and there's also a dark soy bahn mi I haven't tried. The tofu is marinated so well and the sandwich is not dry without mayo (and not soggy). The sign at the counter says the tofu bahn mis are vegan if you get them without mayo, so their bread must be vegan. The spring rolls are pretty good too but leave a little to be desired.“

“Always wanted to visit this cafe and finally tried today.
Got myself Mexican chocolate mocha with strawberry danish.
First of all, when I walked in, the place was gorgeously decorated. I was in love with it and took so many photos.
I was in hurry so I ordered to go order and the coffee was so nice. The scent flavor was amazing. I also loved the strawberry danish it was crispy soft and sweet. I’m definitely coming back and may never go back to Starbucks..“

“I find this to be the best place to get some work done on the computer or just hangout. The coffee is fantastic, the baristas are very hard working and I always notice the same exact person there every time I go. This coffee shop really seems to be made of someone’s blood, sweat and tears, so it’s a worthwhile stop. The inclusion of community art, music, and products really shows that this place serves an important role to its local people.“

“The Lavender Mocha was sublime. Period
The barista was lovely in both energy and appearance, but the energy of the room was a little stuffy. I was low key kinda uncomfortable until a lady came in with her kids and lightened the room considerably“

“Just ate the best breakfast/brunch we’ve had since moving to Seattle this summer. Got there too late to catch the Sourdough Waffles (next time 🤞) but they nailed everything we tried.
Pictured: Ricotta & Toast, Winter Salad, and the Egg Sandwich. The Americano was great too. Perfect amount of food for 2 hungry brunchers.“

“This place is what cafes are supposed to give; good drinks and food, a unique and memorable vibe, and wonderful customer service. I order from this place a couple times a week when I’m at work and have loved trying out new drinks. I went there in person and the sentiment remained. They even sell artwork brought from trips to Africa. So happy to find this gem!“

“It just got a latte was OK to me probably won’t go back but it is convenient if you Arno. That area but compared to other places It was just Ok to me quality of the latte was OK. Service was good. The wait less than ideal. Decent not great ?“
“The coffee was good, and I have no complaints about the food, but the cafe was extremely hot inside. While the natural sunlight was nice, it became so warm that customers were visibly sweating. If it gets that hot in December, perhaps consider ventilating by opening the door or quickly pulling down the shades.

“Great coffee spot in Wallingford! I got the coconut coffee with and sesame latte less sweetness, and both were AMAZING. The sesame cream is rich and flavorful, no wonder it is their most popular drink. The coconut coffee was so fresh and unique and I instantly fell in love. Remember to go with less sugar for better flavor. Highly recommend!“
