“Best poke in Washington! We’ve tried a lot of poke spots, and Red Bowls is still the one we keep coming back to.

The fish is always fresh, the portions are generous, the ingredients taste high quality, and the bowls are packed with flavor. They don’t skimp on the good stuff either, so you actually feel like you’re getting your money’s worth.

The staff is always friendly (sweet Korean elderly couple), service is quick, and the quality has been consistently excellent every time we’ve gone.

If you love poke, Red Bowls is a must-try. Easy 5 stars and our favorite poke spot in Washington.“

“The gentleman working the front counter drove up to my house and returned my wallet that I dropped in their dining room earlier that evening when we were dining in! I didn't even notice it was missing until he knocked on the door at 8 pm and returned it!
He didn't have to do that, what nice guy! We live about 15 minutes away on Beacon Hill..

We eat there frequently and the food is always good. My favorite is the garlic shrimp with a nice cold Hawaiian beer.

The place is just big enough for a bar and a few tables, with the kitchen in the back. The atmosphere is friendly and cozy. The bartender/hostess was very friendly and helpful. We just ordered a couple of simple dishes to go - ong choy (a.k.a. morning glory) in garlic sauce (ong choy is pretty hard to find) and fried tofu. The food was great. “Still located in Pioneer Square this small restaurant can be missed if you are not paying attention. We stopped in for lunch and we are so glad we did. We shared a plate of the ginger teriyaki chicken with an extra order of steamed rice. The food tasted fantastic, it is freshly made almost right in front of you. The restaurant only has a few tables to sit and eat. Many customers just come in, pick up their food a leave. During lunch time the restaurant is busy and deservingly so because the food was great.“

“I live close to here and come here often. Everything I’ve ever had has been really good to great. The calamari is fantastic. Dont expect them to wait on you hand and foot. They give you the menu take you oder after a few minutes and will fill your water if they see its low. They are not gonna ask you if everything is good every 5 minutes. “BEST sushi around! New sushi bar in Kent next to McClendon’s Hardware (in former Save-U-More) FRESH fish and all the flavors were in point. Rice was PERFECT. We enjoyed 4 long rolls and they were LONG ( 10 pieces). Great owners and very welcoming. They are set up for large platters, in door seating (with Karaoke). Nice, new decor and restaurant.“

Danny was especially helpful getting us set up with our cooking station and answering questions. Did not have drinks but they looked amusing to say the least. Huge goblet with lights in the ice and SoJu can dumped in. I would not recommend the shrimp because it is raw, head and tails intacked and uncleaned. The intestinal tract would have to be removed by you either before or after cooking and it's too much work for mediocre tasting shrimp. It's on the expensive side for going out but hey it was fun.“
