“I'm mad my friend didn't show me this spot earlier!!! For starters, we had the mezze platter. It came with dolmas (so good!! Perfect marriage of rice and spices!), tzatziki (so fresh! The mint...yum!!), baba ganoush (with a smokey hint), hummus (so fresh!!), tabouli (best ive had in a long time! It was not overwhelming with parsley... super enjoyable. So good we got orders to go!), and the piyaz (a chilled white bean salad with ginger root, onion, tomato, EVOO, and garlic...so good we got orders to go!). Entrees we had the mesopotamian lamb and beef (the stew was so comforting..like a hug. The lamb was so tender!), and the lamb chops (love the rosemary and garlic!) For dessert...freshhhhh baklava, freshest ive had. It had just been made. It was so perfect! It's not so heavy compared to the normal baklava with honey that Im used too. Looks like I have a new favorite Mediterranean spot to go to!!! The staff was great. The food was amazing.“

“Excellent place! Next door to our vet, where a teriyaki place used to be, so decided to try for lunch. Two of us. Regular gyro sandwich with fries and soda combo, and jumbo extra meat shawarma. Guy working was super friendly and helpful. Food freshly prepared and hot. Fast too. Delicious food, meat was tender and flavorful, lots of toppings, crispy seasoned fries. Would not change anything about the food. We ate in. The guy brought the food to our table. Place is nice and fresh and clean but minimal decorations and no music or anything. Reasonable prices. We will definitely eat here again. Also, note excellent rating from county health. That's a good sign. On par with the best gyro places in the area. Worth trying!“

“We ordered the Gyro Plate (lamb), Gyro fries, and Chicken Gyro sandwich. All were amazingly delicious. Super friendly staff. Lots of seating available. Parking is a little tricky, usually none out front due to the barner shop next door. But available around the building. Recommend everyone to give it a try. Found a new spot.“

“Finally was able to try Homer. Been meaning to ever since it was introduced to the neighborhood. We arrived at 4:50 on a Tuesday Night. No line but the restaurant quickly filled up within 20 minutes. It was SO loud. We had to shout at each other from across the table and couldn't have a decent conversation. The service was prompt and friendly. We ordered the Pita and top 3 spreads, tahini sauce, Roasted Chicken, Whole Petrole Sole, Anchovies with Harissa Butter and Sourdough, Grilled Medjool Dates, Grilled Asparagus, Burnt Cabbage and Crispy Basmati Rice Cake. Out of the top 3 spreads the Labneh was our least favorite; a little too sour. We ordered so much food but still ordered another round of Pita bc the other spreads were THAT good. Special shout-out to the Pistachio and Whipped Garlic spreads. Reminds me of one of my favorite Mediterranean restaurants in New York. The real star of the show was the Burnt Cabbage. It was SOOO good. Perfectly charred on the edges and sweet and tender leaves. All the flavors balanced so well together. I could drink the sauce. Don't pass it up. The chili fruit sauce on the roasted chicken was a little too pasty and thick. It sat on a bed of soggy pita. Other than the crisp chicken skin everything just felt thick and dry. Especially coming from all the thick spreads we had for apps. The dates were delicious and could almost pass as a meat dish with how flavorful it was but just a tad on the salty side from the fish sauce. The fish was perfectly cooked and flavorful. I would pass on the Basmati Rice Cake. It wasn't as crispy as intended and a little chewy with no flavor. We would also pass on the Anchovies and sourdough. It was super salty and couldn't taste the Harissa butter. I definitely would come back and order the top 3 spreads, the DELICIOUS cabbage and try some of the other protein dishes. Thank you Homer! Will be back!“

“Seriously one of the best Mediterranean restaurants I've been to across the world. It doesn't get better than the amazing flavors and great cooking they do there. The plates with kababs are probably my favorite, the chicken is juicy and flavorful, the Lamb is perfect, and they are served with great rice and a nice salad. Make sure to add the hot sauce (it's not very hot but super tasty) This is not a sit-down place, although there is counter you can sit at.“

“In our experience, Seattle eateries have consistently delivered exceptional meals, but Miss Cafe and their Turkish breakfast exceeded all expectations. Generously portioned for two, the spread featured an array of fresh, delectable dishes that showcased the chef's skill. Standouts included the cheese pastry and a rich, tomato, cheesy egg stew. However, the true pièce de résistance was the heavenly honey and cream, perfectly paired with crusty bread - a flavor combination that bordered on sublime. Leaving some for my boyfriend was nothing less than an act of pure love, but we'll certainly return again and again during our short stay in the city.“

“The food and service are always excellent. The falafel gyro is my favorite.
Vegetarian options: Most plates and sandwiches have falafel and egg plant options.
Kid-friendliness: It is a pseudo office environment with room for people to gather on a variety of seats.
Wheelchair accessibility: The venue is wheelchair accessible.“

“The food is delicious . Everything is made with pride . It’s all fresh and made in house . Since it’s fresh and made to order , you will have to wait . It is worth it . I highly recommend the Greek french fries , amazing. Also I would not skip the chai tea or baklava, both so good. Friendly family business that appreciates its customers. The only thing I did not like was not their fault . Customers constantly talking loudly on cell phone , incredibly annoying ringers going off from multiple phones, some very loud voices . It’s a tiny place with close tables so hear everything. It has lovely lighting from beautiful lamps and is nicely decorated. I just wish some of the customers more considerate .“

“This place is DELICIOUS!!!! 🤤
I traveled all the way from the Washington fair grounds an hour away to try this food and it was SO WORTH IT!!!
I Tried the chicken/lamb rice special and the katata plate which is only comparable to drunken noodles but way more flavorful!!!
The sauces are worth trying each one! They're a little spicy at first but add so much depth to the flavors! The lentil soup was hot and fresh and exactly what I needed on a cold day! They have a nice sized dining area with a couple of large flat screens. The Gentleman there was very inviting and nice! I will definitely come back every time I'm in Tukwila! The fried fish is the next dish I'm getting i saw someone eating it and the plate is HUGE!!! Portions are huge quality is 10/10!!! I brought these two plates home to my kids who LOVED THEM!!! Thank you so very much for serving high quality food and treating me so well on my random visit! 💖“

“We had low expectations because of some of these reviews - but all those people must have come here at the wrong time because we showed up at 3:00AM and the food was excellent. Great portion size, fresh vegetables, awesome hummus. My husband didn’t get what he ordered (a beef and lamb gyro) and got a lamb, rice, hummus pita plate instead but it was still really good. The curveball here is that we were stone cold sober.“
“When you suddenly get an exuberant craving for Balkan style cute little linked sausages, called 'cevapchici', and you happen to be in the vicinity of the Airport, then drive early to your flight and swing by this place.I guarantee that You will be flying happy and content and you wouldn't really care about what the airlines will be serving, food wise, on your flight. Mind you, this food is kinda heavy, so the chances are you'd be sleeping through your flight all the way, not that anything is wrong with that...“

“The best halal Mediterranean food in town. We just loved fresh salads & starters. BBQ grill was finger licking good and freshly made. Ambiance was too welcoming. All kinds of fresh and yummy Arabic authentic sweets reminded us of Dubai❤️ the serving size is large and price is very reasonable. I strongly recommend the place“

“I'm very excited to add this place to my rotation of takeout spots in the neighborhood. I went Sunday afternoon to pick up a lunch order I'd called in, and in 15 minutes it was all ready for me. The lamb/rice plate comes with a small portion of salad and hummus, but the kind server gave me two pieces of bread, fresh out of the oven, and a free bottle of water due to the hot day! Overall, the restaurant has super lovely service and very tasty food. Inside, it's not fancy but comfortable enough that I'd consider dining in with family. My take on the meal: lamb was very flavorful, though a little more cooked than I usually like; I will not hold it against them. Rice was good, hummus great, salad fine (but useful to stuff in the bread to make a pita pocket). The bread is really excellent, definitely the big star for me: springy, soft, pillowy deliciousness. I'm pretty sure that bread will haunt my dreams, in a good way, until my next visit. Would give a 4.5 if I could.“

“Today, I had my long time favorite, the purple falafel wrap, at the Ballard farmers market after almost two years and it was just as yummy as I remember it… they make the best falafels in the greater seattle area… crispy outside, moist and cooked inside… and that lovely purple slaw 😋. I’m glad they’ve moved to this new location! One more reason to visit Ballard now 😀“

“It's our lovely, lazy weekend routine to get coffee & breakfast at Gyros on Alki. My husband gets the breakfast gyro & I eat this scrumptious chocolate pastry, which I highly recommend. Ned makes these pastries by hand & they are out of this world! But, unfortunately they weren't selling fast enough before they would go bad (bc they're handmade, of actual, real ingredients), so he thought they would need to discontinue make them! I was devastated (for real- they're that good!) & we suggested/begged Ned to at least make them on the weekends, which he actually agreed to try. Now we buy 2 chocolate pastries on Saturdays & 3 on Sundays (1 for each us + 1 extra for me to have for Monday's breakfast). Oooooh! And, did I mention the Baklava?! It is the best that I have ever had (which really is saying a lot, hahaha!♡). Sadina (Ned's wife) makes it from scratch every few days, & she does something special & absolutely marvelous because she makes the Baklava with pistachios + lots of love (seriously, you can taste the love! And, those pistachios are DELICIOUS!) ENJ♡Y!
Vegetarian options: My parents order the meat options, but all my husband & I have ever ordered are the vegetarian dishes, which are scrumptious. Best d***ed falafel that I've ever had in Seattle, Redmond, Bellevue or Kent.“

“I truly love this restaurant! From the beautiful sisters who own & operate the restaurant & market, to the incredible food cooked carefully and with love. I can tell because each dish told a story. The carefully prepared food speaks volume about its crafters. The Spinach Chicken was incredible, the Chicken Sambusa was sublime, along with Chai with milk, sugar, & cinnamon. I had a beautiful tossed green salad, Macaroni, and Potatoes with Carrots. I bought a flat of Baklava & Pitted Dates, along with a Sambusa, Green Tea, and Emmilines for the road!“
