“Chef Davis is phenomenal! I can’t believe he chooses to share his inventive cuisine in the Yakima Canyon. They grow many vegetables onsite and forage for mushrooms. The menu rotates depending on what is freshest at the time. October is seafood month and Chef gets only the best. Every dish is created with such passion and it shows. Have never had a bad meal here. The first couple years they offered a Thanksgiving buffet that was great, but no longer. My only complaint is they have specific limitations on the time period of your reservation. The larger the party the more time you’re allowed. Up to 4 people you only get 90 minutes, and when they are busy they WILL ask you to leave when your time has expired. I find that offensive, especially because our round trip travel time is longer than our allowed time to dine. The first time we were asked to leave there were 4 of us celebrating birthdays. We had drinks, appetizers, entree and dessert, which takes longer than 90 minutes when you want to enjoy a leisurely meal with friends. The waitress politely asked us to leave a couple times and then she called in the big guns who nearly dragged us out of there. This was right after they initiated the time limit and we weren’t even aware of it. Another time our waitress informed us that the reservation after us had cancelled so we could take our time. I hate this restriction and have never had it happen anywhere else. If the food wasn’t exceptional that would be a deal breaker. My recommendation is to go at times that are least likely to be busy.”

“I had the best day fly fishing with Shannon at the W Women's Collective Divide + Conquer this weekend. The morning started with a much needed casting, reeling, river reading, knot tying, and fly selecting lesson. After that we hit the most perfect spot on the Naches river for a few hours of fishing and basking in the sun. We wrapped up the afternoon with a Q&A session at Bron Yr Aur Brewing while enjoying some delicious cider and pizza. Shannon is always so energetic, knowledgeable, encouraging, and fun to be with. I am looking forward to booking my next adventure @redsflyshop!”

“Brosky's Food Truck is amazing in so many ways! I had the pleasure of working with Todd, Chef Extraordinaire, for a wedding this past weekend. As Wedding Coordinator for this event I can tell you that Todd was easy to reach and responds promptly to questions. Brosky's arrived at the venue exactly on time and dinner was served exactly on time! Dinner was absolutely delicious! The family had ordered pulled pork and chicken sliders with baked potatoes. The smoked garlic compound butter that I put on my potato was divine! Brosky's food and service was perfect in every way. Brosky's gets five stars from me. Rock Star service! Carry on, Brosky's!”

And they were on happy hour! We live in the Seattle area but we’ll be back! If you go, ask for Pedro to make you a margarita. You won’t be sorry.”

“Eating here is always a great experience when it comes to the food. I do wish they had a bigger kitchen and dining space to accommodate the crowds. But it's a reliable favorite of my family's for breakfast/brunch/lunch and we love having such a fun place with outstanding food to get us out of our daily routine once in a while. They have a kids menu too, which is great for when my little boy isn't feeling adventurous. Everyone is super friendly and low key. You won't be disappointed, if you can find a seat.”

“We had an excellent lunch here. Nice air-conditioned space to sit down or you can do takeout from the window. The food was really fresh and full of flavor and they had vegan options for one person in our group. I'd definitely stop in here again. The Mexican style Ramen is delicious.”

“Red Horse Diner ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ On 9/19/22, I visited Red Horse Diner in Ellensburg, Washington for the first time. I had a favorite restaurant that I used to always stop at in Ellensburg on my way back home, but it closed.  I think I may have found my new favorite. Originally, the site where the diner now sits was a gas station, one car, garage, and home built in 1936. The gas station owners lived on the property as was customary back in the day. The Crossett family purchased the property in 1996 and made it what it is today. Red Horse Diner is like taking a step back in time to a cool roadside diner.  The walls and ceilings are full of vintage memorabilia from the service station’s past.  There are several different rooms with all kinds of seating arrangements.  There is also a beautiful outdoor dining area. Even if you choose to dine inside, you must take a walk through the property out back. They have yard games. You can rent it out for private parties. Red Horse Diner serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner.  There are lots of options to choose from, but they were best known for their burgers. I ordered The Patty Wagon ($17) - 1/3 lb. Patty with Grilled Onions and Swiss Cheese on Toasted Rye. My server highly recommended the onion rings, so I paid a slight up charge to substitute. It was the best patty melt, and onion rings that I’ve had an ages! Attached to the diner, is the Nodding Donkey Bar. Happy Hour is every day from 12 PM to 2 PM, and again from 4 PM to 6 PM. On Friday nights, they have live music. Saturday is Karaoke Night. In addition to being a great roadside diner and bar, Red Horse Diner is an important part of the community, as the back hall wall, which is full of cards, letters, and other acknowledgments, will attest to. Red Horse Diner is a popular gathering place for a car clubs, motorcycle groups, and families.  Red Horse Diner hosts classic car shows. They have an annual motorcycle event the first weekend in May called The Iron Horse Trail Motorcycle Show, which features live music, motorcycle stunts and competitions. They have a very active Facebook page where they share past and upcoming events. Be sure to check it out. Highly Recommended!!! 1518 W. “Stopped here in Ellensburg for the last 2 days of our vacation in Washington State/BC before heading back to the UK - loved the beer, the atmosphere and the welcome from the staff. They offer food too and the tacos were home-made and really good. Highly recommend a visit here - we had a really enjoyable evening.”

Usually quite busy, but the customer service of the staff have a system that makes everything flow wonderfully. Don’t ever let the crowds scare you away from trying their delicious food. From ordering inside or drive-through there’s many ways to get their delicious meals. Indoor and outdoor seating is available as well.”

“Lovely place for adult beverages and quite tasty house made rootbeer. There was Good Mood Food truck serving hot yummy food like fried chicken sandwich and spring rolls.
They allow furbabies inside which is lovely on a under 40 winter day.
Perhaps if I got a smash burger from the truck, I would have tried a beer.”

“The Tav is an Ellensburg institution that doesn't seem to have changed in the almost 20 years I've been coming here. The food is good but nothing special with the Supermother being a highlight.
The beer and drink selection is good but definitely very small town college bar.
The best part of this place is the fact that it's a welcoming small town institution that remains a constant in a changing world. Worth a stop if you are in town.”

“Great decor and history, decent dinner prices for most items and good options, excellent food and service. Food arrived hot, not sitting and lukewarm. Chili gas good flavor and a small kick. Spaghetti is well drained so no watered down sauce and the meat sauce is excellent. Utensils are clean with no water spots and not cheap bendy type. Highly recommend the 1.4mi off I90 for a bite!”
