“First time eating at Nami Sushi, and it did not disappoint! We ordered the small boat, which has 20 different items in the boat and 3 different kinds of rolls. We also ordered the tempura calamari and Agedashi with a side of Japanese beer (large bottle of Asahi). The wait staff are attentive and checked on us multiple times. The restaurant is clean and tables are nicely spaced apart, tables are cleaned immediately. The decor of this restaurant is pretty cool and unusual. We will definitely be back. Thanks Nami Sushi!“

When you do place your reservation, you will also need to order your dishes in advance. It's a very personal experience, which is great because it lets us appreciate the quality of sushi. We ordered the chirashi bowl and omakase, and it's the best that we've ever had.“

“We stopped here to try out their food. I got a miyako bento box, and my husband got the Mongolian beef. The bento box was good, kind of overpriced for the quality of food. The portions are smaller but the food is really great. My husband didn't particularly like the Mongolian beef. It wasn't bad, but not great either. We could drop by to try other dishes if in the area.“

“Fantastic quality of teriyaki, sushi, and soup; quite literally some of the best teriyaki we've had in Tacoma and elsewhere. Staff is extremely polite and provides fast and accurate service. “Very delicious food. The amount of food you get for the price is enormous! You order an egg drop soup expecting a small bowl and it's a giant decorated bowl as big as a family salad bowl! And the family combination is on a tray as big as half the table! Was stuffed and had lots to take home, absolutely recommended“

One other staffs walked by and asked if we didn’t like. My wife told her those 2 seemed like they are not full cooked so we didn’t want to eat them but we are okayed. She then insisted that she asked the chef to make a fresh batch of 5 for us. This time they were perfectly cooked. I was impressed with her and felt very appreciative. “Wow! I wish I found this place sooner. Lunch special is $15 for gyoza + chicken teriyaki combo +drink. Best Gyoza I have had. nice and crispy on the outside, and large pieces. Chicken is great quality. ( Not chewy like some places!) and the sauce is sweet, but not too sweet. Also love that they spend the extra money on Compostable cups. Better to give your business to an environmentally friendly business. Place was spotless and owner was so nice. I will be back! Can not wait to try their other dishes.

“I got the breakfast spam egg rice plate. Hard to mess up the taste, this wasn’t good or bad. Also got two side orders of white rice for $3.25 each and that’s why I’m writing this review. Not sure if this was a fluke, but each side was around 3.5 big scoops of rice (roughly one quart)! I’m always hungry and kinda cheap. I don’t want to pay a lot and I want something that keeps me full but won’t upset my stomach. So I’m happy with the ton of white rice I got.

If Hachi-Ko staff read this, you gotta figure out your customer flow because it’s terrible. Waiting after ordering, then picking up and leaving was one of my worst food-line experiences ever. There’s no space and you’d have to push/squeeze past the diners. I didn’t subtract stars because it wasn’t crowded when I went, but come on gang, do better.“

“My absolute favorite sushi place in Kent, and probably in the surrounding areas too. The fish is always fresh, the portions are always so generous and they always fulfill my requests whenever I want to tweak the order. The pricing is really good too in my opinion. The restaurant itself looks clean with a very cozy atmosphere. I've dined in, done take out, and ordered delivery plenty of times and they never disappoint. Also they might have the best spicy mayo recipe I've ever tried.“
