“Each time I go here I get the spicy tonkotsu ramen. The char siu is perfectly grilled so you can taste the carmelization. It is bad etiquette to take out your phone when there's hot ramen on the table so I don't have photos, but trust me.“

“Picked up the bulk office takeout order and overall this was a 4. Outdated building that has an odd smell when you come in and could use some love to the interior, but very fast and friendly service. Good sized portions but as another reviewer mentioned, sauce was a bit on the skimpy side compared to in the past - seems like an odd thing to cut back on. Delicious flavor on the chicken teriyaki and gyoza - would recommend!“

“Came in late on a Sunday night for a take out order and received phenomenal service. We were probably close to closing time, but they ushered us in without any hesitation, took our large order and were so kind as to bring us a few snacks while we waited for our order. We were happy to wait as we hadn’t called ahead, but so appreciated the welcoming gesture. Great bar seating if you wanted to watch a game while dining in with some sake. We got multiple sushi rolls, gyoza, and the order came with a few miso soups and edamame, all of which was heartily enjoyed on our return home. Loved the sushi boat to-go tray which made it so easy to share. California roll did not skimp on the crab. Good food and super nice staff - so glad we stopped in!“

“I've been to many sushi places in the Tacoma/Seattle area and Fujiya certainly stands out as one the best. I can really only speak to the nigiri, but it is always fresh, melt in your mouth tender and generous slices of fish. So good! I want to go back just talking about it!“

“This is my go-to place, they've never disappointed me. I usually get take-out but anytime my husband and I have gone in we get great service and they're so friendly and sweet to us. I'm a BIG fan of their bbq pork fried rice, sweet n sour chicken, house yakisoba, sushi, etc... it's hard to go wrong here. I always appreciate the artistry that the older lady rolling the sushi puts into her work. I will say that there is currently a mob of people trying to drag this business down with 1 star reviews in reaction to an unverified Nextdoor post complaining about treatment here that I find to be completely out of character based on my own frequent visits. “Hubby was craving sushi, so stopped and ordered a Surprise roll for him, a long with a Tempura California roll. I ordered two Philadelphia rolls for myself and a chicken teriyaki lunch. The sushi was delicious and perfect. The chicken teriyaki lunch was wrong. It had spicy chicken and two servings of rice. I was really looking forward to the salad. Otherwise, definitely going back. “1st let me say..had food twice, once from order service and other in person. Both times the service and food were great! The manager is very nice and respectful along with the staff. The funny differences from other sushi restaurants are the fact you have to order everything by QR code ( so if you want a mobile device free night..not gonna happen) and your order comes via a robot! Now that I found funny because I kept on despite directions from the “robot waitress” trying to take food from the other shelves until I got used to things. Speaking on getting “used to”..try maybe 1 or 2 times order something small to get used to how the quantities are served. My friend meant to only get 2 of something and ended up with 3 and I had to eat the extra 1 for respect of the dining rules “whatever is left when you are done you must pay for”. Now the “all you can eat” bit. Please understand that the food here is really good and that they offer quite a unique variety of items to try and eat. That is the meaning of the “all you can eat” here. This is not a legit “all you can eat” restaurant . For $30 you are getting way good quality..so do you want good quality or high quantity? In this tight market you can’t really get both. So please be mindful & respectful of this. They do sadly have techniques to let you know when you are reaching “their” maximum..and after much thought…I can respect that. Overall the food, service and everything else was excellent. I ate mostly the sashimi which I thought tasted fresh and buttery when needed to be and when ate rolls I had the rolls that were cooked and those were handled expertly. My friends had the coconut shrimp which was the favorite for them and such like items. One said the ribs were tough and the fried rice was too hard. Overall I will return and be more “menu venturing “ knowing that there is actually a limit. Again..out of respect, please respect quality over quantity.“

“As someone from Hawaii who’s accustomed to Michelin-rated Japanese cuisine, I have high standards when it comes to sushi—and Sake Sushi & Grill absolutely delivered! I ordered the Chirashi (Sashimi Salad), and my husband had the Sushi Bento. Both dishes were outstanding. The sushi rice was a standout—perfectly cooked and seasoned, which is rare to find even at well-known spots. The selection of sashimi was exceptionally fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. You could taste the care and quality in every bite. My husband couldn’t stop raving about his Sushi Bento dinner, and we both agreed: Sake Sushi & Grill has officially become our new favorite. If I could give it a Michelin rating, I would—hands down. We can’t wait to return!“

“Nice atmosphere, appealing food presentation, friendly staff. Minus one star because the portions are WAY bigger than they need to be. My husband ordered a bento box and was able to finish less than half of it. I got a single roll and had to force down the last two pieces. Smaller portions with decreased price options would’ve made the overall experience more enjoyable, as we could have left satisfied rather than stuffed.

If you’re looking for a large, filling meal, then by all means 5 stars! It just didn’t match our personal expectations/needs on that front. :)“

“Loved the food! On our first trip, we had one of the suchi options, Chulichi shrimp, the ceviche trio, and mango margaritas. All of them were excellent, subtly spiced, and simply delicious. Yes, the music was a bit loud but it was manageable and did not prevent discussion at the table. Our waitress Clarita and bus-person David provided excellent recommendations and great service. We will definitely go back and bring more friends this time!“

“To start, the service we received was excellent. The person helping us was very pleasant and seemed rather grateful to help us.

We got the bento boxes with sushi. We felt the portion size was adequate for the price we paid. We were surprised by the tax rate at over 10%. Of course, the business cannot control this.

Our food was fresh and the tempura was crisp (could have been fried longer for a darker color?). The only issue we found was that the chicken katsu was overcooked and dry.“
