“Been coming here for over ten years. My wife and I have spent quite a few Friday nights in here for a few hours each time enjoying sake and sashimi. Great wait staff, one of them the owner with her husband who is the sushi chef. Only place I have been coming for ten years plus and the two main waitresses have been the same, always friendly! Also been here with our son in tow as well and he enjoyed the spicy chicken teriyaki. Our families favorite sushi place in the Olympia/Lacey/Tumwater area. Highly recommend.
Parking: Many parking spaces available.“

“From mine n my roommates regular HT#3. Roommate likes the bigger menu and food but #3 is alot more relaxing. the remodel is nice but it seems to have cut least a 1/3 of seating guess you needed the added kitchen space 👍. I've been coming to this location since atleast 2013. when my family would come and get unlimited sushi for birthdays had a sake bomb aswell. today (04/25/21) I had the "Bad Girl" roll extremely yummy. also had the crab rangoons which were good aswell.“

“I moved to Olympia in 2022 and began looking for good restaurants. After going to 4 Japanese I hit on Kamakura and have been returning there at least 1X/week. Great rolls, rice is perfectly executed, the Drunken Noodles with shrimp are AMAZING(every time). The staff is so kind and accommodating (makes me feel relaxed) The only thing I feel want for is more seaweed in the miso soup. This restaurant reflects everything with a touch of Japanese family tradition. The prices are fairly set and reflect the quality of food. So this is “my go to” Japanese place in Olympia“

“Stopped here to order food to take home. BF and I both ordered Bento Boxes. I thought our main dish (I got chicken teriyaki, he got beef teriyaki) would be a reduced amount since it's a bento box, but we got 2 scoops of rice and a normal serving of meat. Also received 8 pieces of california roll pieces each, as well as soup, salad, and 5 pieces of gyoza (you could have chosen 2 egg rolls or tempura instead of gyoza). It was SO MUCH FOOD. Enough for 3 meals each. I wasn't a fan of their boba too much because it was over blended and all the tapioca stuck to each other. Will definitely be back for more take out though.“

“Stopped in for an after errands late lunch to-go and was so pleasantly surprised with wonderful service! The fresh gyoza were to die for…and you won this pregnant woman over by feeding me before receiving my order ❤️
I ordered the katsu roll (incredible)
The holy holy roll— SO GOOD
And another deep fried salmon roll whose name escapes me. All were excellent, and we will absolutely be back.“

“Great fish and affordable for the portions. Many options for fun and delicious special rolls but the best thing we had was hands down the salmon maki with massive pieces of really fresh and firm fish with just enough rice. Even small details show It's clear the chefs care about the food: better spicy mayo than I've ever had on sushi, flavorful edamame, tender but firm fish that tastes so fresh, rice with glossy and distinct grains, delightful hot tea.“

“This place is a hidden gem for Sushi. So many options of sushi which makes hard to choose which is good. They all seem so delicious. It makes you want to come back and try the other sushi’s. Every thing was just great and perfect. We will definitely be coming back for more.“

“I have lived in the Olympia area for the last four years and Koibito is one of my favorite restaurants. I see that they got new management, but I’ve seen that they’ve done some changes to the menu and I feel like the changes to the menu were great additions I don’t have any complaints. Will constantly recommend people to come here. Best food ever.“

“GOOD RAMEN & NICE ATMOSPHERE“

“The atmosphere is the best part of this place! I thoroughly enjoyed the bathroom, *shameless* I spent a while there because of the amazing fireplace feature and nature inspired wall with wood accents. Now onto the main question❓I was honestly not a huge fan of the noodle soup I had. It was lacking salt and was flavorless which was not great. My fried tofu pieces were large and got soggy quickly which wasn't terrible but that was the best part of my ramen. Unlimited soda refills which is a huge plus for a $60 price tag for two ramen and a side of gyoza, rice and 2 sodas. But that price is way too high in my opinion. You're basically paying for an atmospheric dinner. a large fake cherry blossom tree in the middle of the restaurant, nice lighting, a large TV screen playing kpop music videos and ample artwork of Naruto characters everywhere and you seat yourself after ordering at the front counter. Stay Wanderous Explorers ✌️
Parking: They have a very small parking area but you can park at the business next door or at Safeway across the street.“

“Not sure why people are rating this place poorly. We got takeout tonight and it was delicious! Flavors weren't overpowering which we liked. The sweet and sour chicken was awesome. The lady people are writing about in their reviews just wasn't over-exciting in our interaction with her, which is fine. Can't expect people to be happy and cheery 24/7. She was friendly enough and thanked us when we picked up our food.“

“If your looking for an amazing place to eat in Lacey, this is it! Some of the best Sushi around with plenty of alternatives as well if you are looking for something a little different. The owners are some of the sweetest people you will ever meet and the staff is always amazing. You won't be able to eat here just once I can promise you that.“
