“I moved to Olympia in 2022 and began looking for good restaurants. After going to 4 Japanese I hit on Kamakura and have been returning there at least 1X/week. Great rolls, rice is perfectly executed, the Drunken Noodles with shrimp are AMAZING(every time). The staff is so kind and accommodating (makes me feel relaxed) The only thing I feel want for is more seaweed in the miso soup. This restaurant reflects everything with a touch of Japanese family tradition. The prices are fairly set and reflect the quality of food. So this is “my go to” Japanese place in Olympia“

“First time order for pick up and so glad I tried them. A friend picked up so I am not sure about parking, etc. The sushi was fresh and delicious. I ordered the tuna and yellow fin. The teriyaki short rib was cooked just right and generous portion. Crab Rangoon was very tasty and I could tell it was made to order. Great menu with lots of options and very easy to order online. Kind and accommodating service. Highly recommended!“

“This place was amazing!!! First time my wife and I got it and they have gotten a customer for life, as long as our 2nd and continued visits are just as good.

Ordered over the phone, lady was patience and very friendly. I had some questions about fried rice b/c online I thought they had multiple fried rice options, so onion made it a bit confusing. She cleared that up and continued with the order!!

20 minutes later (I live 18 minutes away) I got greeted with a smile, she immediately guessed who I was (some people may have been upset about that, I very much appreciated it and thought it was funny xD) probably b/c of my last name.

When I got home food was still nice and hot, its was steamy, good portion, good taste, and good quality.

My ONLY constructive comment was sadly the General Tao.
For myself, for a new teriyaki spot to win me over, the General Tao typically needs to be up to my standard. This was not.

The flavor was okay, I’m sure for most people they probably would like it. I will say my best experience was a place that did sauce on the side, a bit spicier (or offered spicier if wanted) and left the chicken crispy and separated from the sauce so the customers adds it themselves once they are ACTUALLY ready to eat. If dining it, that makes sense, but 30 minutes later it’s soft, mushy, and kinda unappealing.

Will most definitely coming back with my wife to dine in and see how the service and quality of food is in house.

“This place is absolutely lovely. The staff are very professional and welcoming, the food is delicious and everything was clean. There is a professional sushi chef that you can watch make sashimi and other tasty things and there are plenty of tables to choose from. The miso soup is the best i've had in a long time and everything from the fish to the fried rice was on point. I tried the lunch sushi special and it was so good, I came back for the dinner sushi. I was absolutely full and completely in heaven. I would recommend this place to a friend, I will be returning and I would give it 10/10.“

“I've been coming here for years, since it first opened, actually. They have always been the best and most consistent of the Happy T's, in my experience. The staff have always been friendly, the food tasty, and the restaurant clean and comfy. Sadly, the Froyo Machine saw its last...it will be missed. However, everything else remains in top form.“

Roommate likes the bigger menu and food but #3 is alot more relaxing. the remodel is nice but it seems to have cut least a 1/3 of seating guess you needed the added kitchen space 👍. “I love getting take out from here! They have a huge variety of options. We can find something to suit all the picky eaters in my family. I love their chicken breast teriyaki and salmon nigiri. My fave!
If you haven't, give them a shot. They have nice specials through door dash and fair pricing.“

Family-friendly and fast, Sushi House is the ideal choice.

The Pepper Tuna roll is to die for. I can confidently say that I have never had anything that didn't deserve a 5-Star rating at this establishment. I get Fried Gyoza, Miso Soup, Edamame, and 3 rolls. Be sure to ask your waitress if she has a new favorite and try that!

P.S - Aya is great for first dates or to treat your new mistress. Sushi House is for your wife and family.“

“Comfortable seating with a pretty low noise setting, no music in-house during the visit which is good to have.

Simple easy to read menu, bottled drinks and a 6 spout soda fountain.

Potsticker appears to come from O'Tasty company, standard and probably would just stick with the chicken & beef combo next time since price was about $1 difference.

Beef and chicken were both tender with very little charred edges on the chicken, would eat again.

My order was boxed up in about 15 minutes after placing with only 1 person behind me, their order finished about 3 minutes before my own, so pretty speedy service as well.

The only downside is the white rice. The Rainbow Fried Rice is only able to be ordered by itself and can not be paid for as an extra fee to get it in the combo.

So the most inexpensive option is to spend the extra $20.95 for the Rainbow Fried Rice by itself.

“Just visited tonight and as always, loved the food and service! Super sweet waitresses and delicious food. I ordered the beef teriyaki bento box and a plate of crab rangoons. My friend ordered the beef bulgolgi. We were both surprised at the fast service and generous portions. It's not often that my friend and I get to go out to eat, but I'm so glad that we chose koibito 🤤“

“This restaurant/food stand in the mall is a great place to eat with your friends and family. But for me it a place where you get a lot of your protein because the dishes are basically 1 or 2 maybe 3 meat you choose and steamed rice or fried rice and veggies. My family and I visited Bonsai Wok Teriyaki today for the first time, and honestly, I can’t believe we didn’t discover this place sooner!

We ordered the yakisoba, teriyaki chicken, chicken cashew, and shrimp tempura, and everything was fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned. Each dish tasted like it was made with care, not rushed, and the quality really stood out.

The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. It felt like one of those neighborhood restaurants everyone already loves—and somehow we were the last ones to find out!
