The ambiance here is striking with the contrasting round elements, sharp corners, and cherry branches against soft lighting and the relaxing rumbling of their water feature. The food is perfect! I ordered the bento box and he got beef yakisoba. Each meal came with miso soup and a variety of small salads for tasting. We were both very pleasantly surprised by the pickled cucumber and shrimp. The main course was a parade of delights! The beef in the yakisoba was so tender and flavorful as was the chicken teriyaki. The tempura vegetables were melt in your mouth but the star of the show was the sushi. It was so fresh and beautifully presented! I regret not getting a sushi platter. Next time!“

“I was across the street from the happy teriyaki on Bridgeport Way at another business when I saw happy teriyaki. I asked the man behind the desk. Can you tell me if the food across street is good he said yes’s it’s good. Finishing there I walked in to the happy teriyaki, I was met by a very pleasant, kind and courteous woman. I ordered chicken yakisoba, and teriyaki chicken. It was one of the best yakisoba and I’ve ever tasted. It was very very good. I will be going back.“

“This restaurant is top 3 lunch/dinner spots in the state. I eat here at least once a week. Food is always prepared perfectly, prices are fair and competitive, and the staff are kind and engaging. “We came in one night on a whim because we had errands nearby. The space is clean and chill, and the staff were super pleasant and welcoming without being overbearing. The food though, oh my god. 11/10, so good. We got it to go since it was only half an hour until closing time, and even with the travel time it was some of the most delicious ramen, sushi, and fried rice we’ve ever had. We had gotten enough to have leftovers the next day but it was so good that we finished all of it. Absolutely will be back.“

“I've been to many sushi places in the Tacoma/Seattle area and Fujiya certainly stands out as one the best. I can really only speak to the nigiri, but it is always fresh, melt in your mouth tender and generous slices of fish. So good! I want to go back just talking about it!“

“As someone from Hawaii who’s accustomed to Michelin-rated Japanese cuisine, I have high standards when it comes to sushi—and Sake Sushi & Grill absolutely delivered! I ordered the Chirashi (Sashimi Salad), and my husband had the Sushi Bento. Both dishes were outstanding. The sushi rice was a standout—perfectly cooked and seasoned, which is rare to find even at well-known spots. The selection of sashimi was exceptionally fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. You could taste the care and quality in every bite. My husband couldn’t stop raving about his Sushi Bento dinner, and we both agreed: Sake Sushi & Grill has officially become our new favorite. If I could give it a Michelin rating, I would—hands down. We can’t wait to return!“

“1st let me say..had food twice, once from order service and other in person. Both times the service and food were great! The manager is very nice and respectful along with the staff. The funny differences from other sushi restaurants are the fact you have to order everything by QR code ( so if you want a mobile device free night..not gonna happen) and your order comes via a robot! Now that I found funny because I kept on despite directions from the “robot waitress” trying to take food from the other shelves until I got used to things. Speaking on getting “used to”..try maybe 1 or 2 times order something small to get used to how the quantities are served. My friend meant to only get 2 of something and ended up with 3 and I had to eat the extra 1 for respect of the dining rules “whatever is left when you are done you must pay for”. Now the “all you can eat” bit. Please understand that the food here is really good and that they offer quite a unique variety of items to try and eat. That is the meaning of the “all you can eat” here. This is not a legit “all you can eat” restaurant . For $30 you are getting way good quality..so do you want good quality or high quantity? In this tight market you can’t really get both. So please be mindful & respectful of this. They do sadly have techniques to let you know when you are reaching “their” maximum..and after much thought…I can respect that. Overall the food, service and everything else was excellent. I ate mostly the sashimi which I thought tasted fresh and buttery when needed to be and when ate rolls I had the rolls that were cooked and those were handled expertly. My friends had the coconut shrimp which was the favorite for them and such like items. One said the ribs were tough and the fried rice was too hard. Overall I will return and be more “menu venturing “ knowing that there is actually a limit. Again..out of respect, please respect quality over quantity.“

“Loved the food! On our first trip, we had one of the suchi options, Chulichi shrimp, the ceviche trio, and mango margaritas. All of them were excellent, subtly spiced, and simply delicious. “A small family owned business owned by a very nice Korean family. I would describe this as pan-Asian cuisine. The Korean food is top notch as expected since the owners are Korean! “Located in the entrance to Dupont. The Good_ Really good terioki and yakisobi. Other yakisobi places only give you like 3,4 or possibly 5 pieces of shrimp in your meal. I was pleasantly surprised to find i had at LEAST 10. a plus!
The negative. _Quite expensive! We got 1 dish of Terioki, 1 dish of Yakisobi plus 2 orders (4) egg rolls, NO drinks, NO other extras and our bill was nearly $50. Yes_it was delicious but I question the price tag.“

“I was in town for work and staying at the Home2Suites right next to Happy Teriyaki. I arrived early before my room was ready so I pulled up the menu online and quickly decided to get some lunch. I had the bento box lunch special and it was delicious. I ended up eating dinner here the next two nights. The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere was perfect. I recommend trying the Seattle roll and the chicken teriyaki dinner bento box. Bring your appetite because the portions are large.“
