“We ate at Katana for my husband’s birthday dinner. It was a busy weeknight. We were greeted by a lovely hostess who immediately made us feel welcome. Our server, Kingsley, was absolutely phenomenal- definitely one of the top servers we have ever encountered anywhere! She was tending to multiple tables, bar customers, and also making drinks. She was easily one of the busiest employees there, yet she kept a big smile on her face and a kind, positive spirit throughout our entire service. The sushi was delicious, as always. Katana is consistently reliable to serve good food, but this time we had especially amazing service as well. I highly recommend katana for a family celebrating a special occasion!“

“Note: We attempted to talk with the managers/staff before posting this, but we were told the fish was supposed to be this way. I didn’t think to take photos because we assumed after talking with the staff the issue would be fixed so we brought them the leftovers. We have been eating sushi for several decades and have never had fish that smelled and or looked like this. Normally we eat here in restaurant, but this last week we ordered and picked up. The tuna handrolls looked like it had been in a meat grinder and tasted bitter. The sashimi special we normally order had all kinds of connective tissue and fat clumps we had to try to tear off the meat because we could not chew through it. Instead of being soft the hamachi (yellowtail tuna) was hard chewy. I eventually spit it out in to my napkin. We gave up when it came to the salmon portion because it didn’t smell right.“

Even though it was a bit of a drive since I hadn’t found anything closer to home, it was totally worth it. “Ever since Covid, Sushi Hana has changed to be a monorail sushi restaurant instead of a conveyor belt sushi spot. HUGE difference in the quality and freshness of the sushi - it is now one of our favorite places and we come here for special occasions with our kids all the time! Tonight we came with my sister and her family for my daughter's 8th birthday.

My 4 year old son got too big of a bite of part of his sister's California Roll and he started choking. Not just sort-of choking, but a prolonged, scary experience. I was beating him on his back and we were about to need to do the Heimlich maneuver. I was in a state of panic - I am trained in CPR and choking/first aid, but I sort-of blacked out during the experience and it all seemed to go in slow motion.

Our server, Jay, jumped into action and came into our booth, ready to perform the Heimlich if necessary. He actually started lifting my son up to do it, but then he started coughing more normally and was able to speak. Jay informed us that he is a pre-med student and was totally ready to do whatever was needed to help our son.

Our food was great, but Jay went far above and beyond tonight and we are truly thankful for him. Thank goodness that our son is OK. We will be back and we so appreciate you all!

Kid-friendliness: Very kid-friendly! They had the robot sing "happy birthday" and brought my daughter a chocolate cupcake.“

“Why are they always closed? I’m trying to place an order at 4:15pm and it says it’s closed!!! I walk in yesterday at 7 pm and the lady said that they are closed too!!! I’m so confused!!! They don’t have a phone number to call too! But I comeback to place an order in person at 5 and they took my order!!! So, knowing that only 2 people work in there and their place is blowing up I would say be patient and try again!“

“I’ve been here twice now and the visits were within two weeks of one another because I was craving their yakisoba again.

Their teriyaki chicken and spicy teriyaki chicken were delicious (but I would go to Ta Joia down the road if I only wanted that), but their yakisoba was the best I’ve had in years. Generous portion plus it has wonderful wok hei that gives it a delicious smoky and charred flavor. My only complaint is I ordered the combination yakisoba the second time which was supposed to be chicken, pork, beef, and shrimp…and it had a single shrimp in it and the pork wasn’t my favorite. The beef teriyaki is the way to go!“

The food was great and I was excited they had the fish red bean dessert as I haven’t had that since we lived in Japan many years ago as a kid!! They didn’t have nato my dad’s favorite and no potatoes in the chicken curry. They forgot my dad’s miso soup she didn’t know if she brought it out or not. They definitely need a little more help so if you know anyone looking for a job they should apply.“

“We reserved a table online for their Cowboy Brunch for 4. The music was so loud that we could not even have a conversation. Two of us received our food cold. The waitress brought out two new plates, again cold! Needless to say we didn't eat them. The deposit was suppose to come.off the bill ($100.00), but we all paid individually, with the waitress saying she would refund the original deposit. A week later still not refunded and no one will return the call. Absolutely terrible experience!“

“Excellent all around. Ordered the Nigiri and Sashimi Bento Box. My first time having both kinds! I’ve only had rolls. You really can taste the unique flavor of each fish when it is naked like that. My server’s recommendation of Spicy Tuna roll was a good one. I can’t handle too spicy, and the rolls were hardly the same caliber of spice as wasabi, which I can handle in small doses. Perfect amount, imo, so that you can still taste everything and aren’t looking for a bathtub to stick your head in to put the fire out. I’ve been here before, and this just solidified my desire to return.“

All the rolls I've had are great here. They also have a modest sized menu for teriyaki that's pretty good as well, great for if you have family members or friends who don't like sushi.

Portions are BIG. The price is fair especially considering the portion size. They have reasonably nice staff and pretty fast service. I would definitely recommend it.“

“Pardon the fork but I was too busy devouring my food To take a good photo of my AMAZING TAKOYAKI. such a crisp crunchy outer shell with near molten obviously freshly made on order center. The sauce was BEAUTIFULLY done on it too and my sushi was just amazing. Went with my sister and mother and we ended up so happy with it. It was a surprise visit too because originally we were headed elsewhere nearby and ended up here. I am SO GLAD WE DID. “Long ago there used to be a French bakery in the same location. They were amazing. Imagine my shock to see that is now a sushi place and that they had all you can eat! Dove right in. First of all the value is there if you want to eat a lot of sushi and don’t care if it is made correctly. However the calamari side was super burnt (over fried), the wasabi is not real, and there is more sugar added to things than should be. The sugar is why I don’t recommend. I am guessing that it is this way because it is in an area that can get away with it. At first I thought might be worth the drive. But when you also factor we were on a date and the lady got upset that we didn’t want to sit at the counter but a table. Then was super grumpy and rude to us the whole experience. Pretending as well at our table she didn’t speak English well, yet did fine elsewhere. I was tempted to tell her in Spanish her attitude was as awful as the calamari was over cooked. But decided she could continue thinking whites and Asians don’t speak Spanish. Chose to be the bigger person in the moment and regret it, so be prepared if you get a heavy set Mexican lady. Was not helpful with pretending not to speak English well when our first time there and wanted to verify how things worked. 36.95 per person + tip (which gave 24% because is not the chefs fault she was a pain). For the same cost the two of us could have eaten quality sushi and not just been full, but also have had a better experience. Overall I don’t recommend this place. Mill Creek has a better sushi place by far, without the all you can eat gimmick. If you go take note of the bottom of the menu. You will find rule about waste and being charged for it, as well as eat all rice. We had a couple rolls that the end pieces were missing much of any substance and were mostly rice. The wrapping on the rolls was pretty loose, meaning they were a pain to pickup with chopsticks and falling apart everywhere (however we went in the after dinner rush and could have just been tired so kept that in mind when calculating tip).“

I’ve ate at Bento Factory for over 10 years, and I don’t know why it took me so long to write a review.

First and foremost, the quality of the ingredients and how they are prepared is always top notch here. The gyoza is always piping hot, perfectly crispy, and wonderfully balanced in filling. All the teriyaki and stir fry items are always delicious, without an excess amount of sauce to drown the meat (not too little either).

The service is always warm and pleasant, even through different staff who I’ve encountered through the years. The lady up front currently is so friendly. Service is always lightning fast, too, which is a big plus.

Finally, the atmosphere is very laid back, but refined, and most importantly… CLEAN. Some places you go to, you’ll find boxes, sauce jars, etc. scattered everywhere… NOT HERE! They do a great job of maintaining a very pleasant dine-in ambience, where you don’t feel in a rush to eat and leave.

All in all, I would 100% recommend coming here to satisfy your next bento night!!!“
