“I'm at the hotel across the street. I was originally going to walk over to the mall area and the Olive Garden, but I saw the sign for teriyaki and thought it would be good to support a small business.

I walked in through the mini mart. The man behind the counter asked if I was looking for teriyaki after I looked a little lost. He pointed me to the other side of the shop and met me over there.

I wish I'd thought to ask his name. He was very nice and personable. I told him I'd be in town for a couple days and was looking for a good spot. I asked what's good on the menu. He pointed out a few things, but I settled on the spicy orange chicken.

When I checked out, I thought it might be a tad pricey, but I also recognize the importance of helping a small business. While I waited for my order, I went back to the mini mart side and got a ginger ale and some gum. The same gentleman rang me up there.

Then, back next door, I looked at my phone for a minute or two, and he came back to thank me for my patience. While thoughtful, I was not put out at all, I had only placed the order a few minutes before, and it really didn't seem like much of a wait.

My food came out in short order, he bagged it up and put all the things I'd need (utensils, napkins, soy sauce) inside before I asked. He left me with a smile, and I walked across the street to my hotel to eat.

Bringing it up to my room, I saw that it was a lot of food. Honestly, I SHOULD have only eaten half and saved the rest for the next day. But I didn't.

The orange chicken was perfect. Just delicious. The rice was just right. Honestly, I can't think of a thing that would make it better.

The akiaji seasonal tendon had everything I wanted and it was fun to be able to try the different foods included. “I ordered a cherry blossom roll and sunomono inside the restaurant for takeout. It was a Saturday night and busy and The service was polite and professional. I got my time estimate of 25-30 min, and left to wait in my car. I went back after 25 min and my sushi was ready. The roll was lovely and fish delicious, topped with tuna and fish eggs which I love for a fun salty pop and generously portioned. The sunomono was pretty and I enjoyed it altho I do prefer a bit more pickling and vinegar! My only critique is not keeping to-gos in a fridge because my fish wasnt cold and minus one star on atmosphere for lack of space in the entry for guests to be seated, order and wait when it's busy. I am so glad O finally tried Kuro sushi. It felt like my birthday and it's not even my birthday because the sushi is that good [: ♡ I hope to come back one day and dine-in! Thank you so much!“

“The atmosphere and service are great. The food itself is good but could be slightly adjusted.

We ordered a tonkatsu and gyudon.

The tonkatsu was cooked well but lacked a bit of sauce. Portion size is appropriate, and overall flavor was delicious.

The gyudon was a bit tough. The beef was a little bit thicker than standard and was a bit overcooked. The rice was a little dry, but we did come in late in the evening, so that's not a major surprise.

Overall, it's a good experience, and we'll try coming back, but a bit earlier in the day.“

“Their fish is of superior quality compared to other Japanese restaurants in this area. I used to live in Japan for a long time so when I feel like eating Japanese food I always go to this one. I am a routine customer and I always order their salmon box, which they remember every time.“

Eating at the bar was especially unique, as we could watch the chef make everything right in front of us! We also really liked the 3 Sake flight. A great place for kaiseki on the east side.“

“If you are looking for Yoshinoya beef bowl you had in Japan, this is what you are looking for. There’s no Yoshinoya in WA, so you should try here.
The reproduction of Yoshinoya's beef bowl is quite high. The clerk was Japanese. The menu name was Sukiyaki instead of Gyudon. It's a style where you order at the cash register and it's brought to your seat.“

“I read the reviews. As a black business owner I experienced no discrimination. I actually got really great service. Also the food was awesome and a large portion of meat and rice. It wasn’t filled with a lot of filler like broccoli or cabbage.

“Ordered the beef and chicken teriyaki combo with gyoza (T20) for 18.99 and was not disappointed. This place does teriyaki right, although some may say the sauce is too sweet for their liking. Personally, the sauce paired with the fried rice was well balanced. The gyoza was crispy but lacked flavor, and the dipping sauce it came with was too vinegary. I shared this plate with my sibling and we could only finish half of it. Great value for the amount of food you get.

Also got the bulgogi kimbap for $8.99 and found that the amount of rice was too much. I prefer a thin layer of rice so the filling inside can shine.

“I have been here twice now. The 2nd time was my redemption to order the chirashi bowl. Honestly for ~$16+ it's worth it. I thought the fish was super fresh and it came out so fast. In my opinion you can only judge a restaurant based on how well it achieves what it set out to do in the first place.

This isn't gourmet eating, it's not trying to be. Teriyaki Bowl is trying to be a classic, affordable teriyaki joint with fast service, cheap food, and generous portions.

I think it achieves these goals and then some. $12.00 buys you their standard teriyaki and rice dish, containing enough chicken and rice for two solid meals. You come in, place your takeout order, and the food comes to you, steaming hot, in under 5 minutes.

The chicken is cooked tender, the sauce is delicious, My only complaint is that, on a few occasions, my rice has been slightly undercooked. If that is fixed I'll happily bump this review up to 5 stars.“

“We accidently found this restaurant and so glad we did. The food was exceptional and very inexpensive for the quality and service. The beef bulgogi pot stickers and tempura prawns were the best we have found in WA yet. Even though I am not a fan of spicy food - the Rose Combo (sorry I forgot the name) was the best flavor I have ever had. Thank you! We highly recommend this restaurant.“

“Very friendly service~ however after I have wanted teriyaki for so long, the teriyaki chicken I got here was discontinued. Rice is not fully cooked, chicken was dry. I hope it was just because I went to get togo 30 minutes before their closing time. One thing that I want to mention is they don’t intend to get tips, when I pay I was waiting to get the machine to turn back to me for adding the tips, but not, he only asked if I need a receipt. Give 4 stars because of that, especially for nowadays every restaurant is demanding high tips even for take out.“

“Good Teriyaki, pretty simple and straight forward. I feel like it’s hard to mess up teriyaki but you never know. It came with a little side salad. Teriyaki chicken, Teriyaki beef and shrimp combo they were both good. Surprised that the shrimp came on a screwer with pineapples but it was good. Only a few pieces tho. Kinda worth it depends if you really like shrimp. Overall pretty decent place. Nothing to rave about but also nothing to complain about.

I have been here a couple of times, but this time I decided to leave a review since as much as I love the business, I do think there are still lots of room for improvement if you want customers to come back. The food was amazing and the employees were very nice despite having no time to breathe. they obviously didn’t have enough staff for a not-so-busy Saturday night ( there were lots of empty tables). It took me 30 mins to place an order, waited another 25 mins for my food, and they forgot to serve me the chawanmushi. Please hire more staff, or find a more effective way to run your business.“
