“Came here on a Monday night. Food was excellent! It was very fresh and only waited 10 minutes for the food to come out. The akiaji seasonal tendon had everything I wanted and it was fun to be able to try the different foods included. Anna was a very attentive server and provided excellent customer service to our table, she was so friendly and helpful!!! I would highly recommend this place to friends or anyone visiting Seattle/bellevue area for a great experience!“

“I like their fresh sheet!
I love eating sashimi and sushi with different kind of fishes/seafood. Lots of time tuna/salmon/yellowtail etc don't satisfy me because they are like basics for every Japanese restaurants. So I really enjoyed that they offer Aji, Kanpachi, Suzuki, Burihira etc. Crab tower roll was great! Lots of thin fries, my son loved it.
Definitely 5 star for the creative yet quality menu!
Service was great, they have enough people to cover a full house so you don't feel ignored and they come to check on you. Server introduced the sake I ordered and tried to pour with label facing at me all time like a high-end restaurant pouring fancy wine. I didn't catch her name but I appreciate the details.
Food was great as mentioned above. A great selection of Sake as well. Even though I haven't try everything on their menu, food I ordered was great, sushi from their fresh sheets was really good! I didn't order the couple rolls that were on fire, feels more like a gimmicky thing for me, but that's a subjective opinion, please go try and tell me I am wrong :)
Wife ordered Tempura and it was done right, crispy and delicious! The only thing would be the price point of the menu is more on the expensive side, especially how I prefer nigiris, so I won't be able to come here very often. Not that the price/quality ratio is bad tho, so I will come back.
Atmosphere was excellent. Although the table I was assigned was a bit sticky, not sure if it was the type of cleaner product they use or the towel was used too often on a Friday night.
Overall, I would go again and support this hidden gem.“

“Finally visited the new location! Their udon is so good! The owner remembers me from the original Kirkland location 5 years ago!“

“The atmosphere and service are great. The food itself is good but could be slightly adjusted.
We ordered a tonkatsu and gyudon.
The tonkatsu was cooked well but lacked a bit of sauce. Portion size is appropriate, and overall flavor was delicious.
The gyudon was a bit tough. The beef was a little bit thicker than standard and was a bit overcooked. The rice was a little dry, but we did come in late in the evening, so that's not a major surprise.
Overall, it's a good experience, and we'll try coming back, but a bit earlier in the day.“

“This place is awesome for Japanese food in downtown Issaquah! The owner’s super friendly and runs everything himself, which makes it feel extra personal. Great prices for tasty, no-frills dishes you won’t usually find around here. Don’t come expecting fancy, just solid, delicious food.“

“Went here for the first time a few weeks ago. I ordered bibimbap and when asked my choice of meat, I said chicken. They don't usually make chicken bibimbap, but they did it for me and it was SO GOOD. Definitely one of my favorite bibimbap bowls!
My partner also really enjoyed his food. We would definitely go back!“

“Ordered Salmon box and it was so cute how it was displayed and for the price it was pretty good. It came with a bowl of miso soup and salad. We asked if we ordered online for pick-up if the soup/salad sides will come with it, and they confirmed they do.Udon noodles were nice chewy texture, the broth was very tasty and not bland.Mixed poke bowl was confirmed yummy by family member :)Fish tasted fresh and not fishy. We have a family member very picky on fish. She is not a fan of raw fish except for spicy tuna rolls. But tasting some of the mixed poke, she confirmed no fishy taste or smell, she was able to enjoy the food.Very cute small restaurant, went after 5pm on a Friday so it was not busy. But the road to get there was busy due to costco shoppersFeb 9, 2024 Friday 5pm“

“Incredible experience - we reserved the November bar seating for our anniversary, and every dish was both beautiful to look at and delicious to eat. Eating at the bar was especially unique, as we could watch the chef make everything right in front of us! We also really liked the 3 Sake flight. A great place for kaiseki on the east side.“

“If you are looking for Yoshinoya beef bowl you had in Japan, this is what you are looking for. There’s no Yoshinoya in WA, so you should try here.
The reproduction of Yoshinoya's beef bowl is quite high. The clerk was Japanese. The menu name was Sukiyaki instead of Gyudon. It's a style where you order at the cash register and it's brought to your seat.“

“it's fine. decent place. sometimes overcooks my katsu but it doesn't make it inedible, just means there's a person actually cooking it back there. have seen people in the back cleaning equipment rigorously so that made me feel good about the cleanliness. would recommend“

“i enjoyed comin’ to this place to eat; i quite liked the teriyaki chicken, and though the general tao’s chicken was not to my liking, i think that’s more so personal preference than anything. staff were nice, and they were able to serve my decently large group well.
(i was not the “leader” of the group, just a part of it)“

“I love eating teriyaki and I've been to several places all around the greater Seattle area. Teriyaki Box in Renton has a unique teriyaki sauce and great salad dressing sauce too. The service is friendly and fast and the tables are clean. The prices are reasonable for what you get and I would definitely come back again.“

“I love Rainier Teriyaki! This is a frequent fave of mine because their staff is so friendly and they consistently deliver great teriyaki. The portions are reasonable for their prices as well.
My go to is the spicy version of the teriyaki.
I always bring friends and family from out of town and they all love it too.
Unfortunately, parking is a bit limited but during lunch, I haven't had any issues with that.“

“Good Teriyaki, pretty simple and straight forward. I feel like it’s hard to mess up teriyaki but you never know. It came with a little side salad. Teriyaki chicken, Teriyaki beef and shrimp combo they were both good. Surprised that the shrimp came on a screwer with pineapples but it was good. Only a few pieces tho. Kinda worth it depends if you really like shrimp. Overall pretty decent place. Nothing to rave about but also nothing to complain about.
Vegetarian options: Not very many vegetarian plates.“

“Teriyaki was always reliable here, especially pork and beef. Chicken is just so so for me. I think it is just a personal difference. The place seems very simple but most of the food is quite good. I have never dined in, so I can not judge the atmosphere, but just by looking at the inside, it is just the vibe of the food court, not fancy restaurant. I would recommend this place for people looking for fine food. You can not go wrong with food at least.“

“Every bit as wonderful as Kenji says it is. I never knew how incredible the ORIGINAL chicken teriyaki could be, but it really seems to have made all the difference in the world. Excellent customer service, too!

Kid-friendliness: The older fellow manning the register had my baby giggling and cooing. It was so cute! ?“

“We accidently found this restaurant and so glad we did. The food was exceptional and very inexpensive for the quality and service. The beef bulgogi pot stickers and tempura prawns were the best we have found in WA yet. Even though I am not a fan of spicy food - the Rose Combo (sorry I forgot the name) was the best flavor I have ever had. Thank you! We highly recommend this restaurant.“

“I'm vegetarian so I got the veggie onigiri and inarizushi options. We liked the onigiri, though it could use more salt. The inarizushi were kind of disappointing. Definitely not worth $3 a piece. I wish they had done something more creative and filling than just scoop some corn into the tofu skin. A corn + rice + miso vegan butter would be more filling, tasty and kind of a Hokkaido inspired inari.“

“I love Toshi's! Haven't had any bad meals here, but my favorite so far is the spicy katsu chicken (barely spicy tbh) and teriyaki chicken. You can mix and match most of the dishes for combo plates, just ask! I hear the pork yakiUdon is also ?“

“Best sushi for the price in probably all of King County! Been going to Musashi’s since I was a kid, the one in Seattle and so so excited they have one in Bellevue! We order from here probably once a week.. $12 for big sushi rolls are unheard of these days. They’re quick, fresh, less expensive and delicious!“

“I’m a huge fan of their udon and all the side dishes. I have been here a couple of times, but this time I decided to leave a review since as much as I love the business, I do think there are still lots of room for improvement if you want customers to come back. The food was amazing and the employees were very nice despite having no time to breathe. they obviously didn’t have enough staff for a not-so-busy Saturday night ( there were lots of empty tables). It took me 30 mins to place an order, waited another 25 mins for my food, and they forgot to serve me the chawanmushi. Please hire more staff, or find a more effective way to run your business.“

“One of my go-to places for Koreanized teriyaki in Washington or anywhere. This place is the home of the, "crack-sauce." This garlicky, creamy sauce is originally on salad but can be paired with almost anything. You can substitute this where ranch dress can navigate.Parking in this stripmall can be done but it's busy and there are a lot of walkers and drivers.Food comes out fast and the portions are solid for this area and for what you are paying.I usually take my food to go, you're not going there for the atmosphere.Fun fact, they have "fake" Japanese bento dishes that you can purchase as well as some vending machines for little toys.Midas 5-stars for the clean food and fast service.“
